The male carefully picked his way across the ice claws scratching the surface as he tried his best to remain standing. Here and there barren tree tops would sprout up from the surface as if to trip the already unstable wolf. Legs shook with effort as he continued across the frozen forest, his eyes upon the green just below the ice. It was truly remarkable to look at, an entire forest once full of life and movement now permanently suspended just beyond reach. Gitan had seen many things, had been many places but never before had he seen any place quite like this.
So wrapped up in his own thoughts was the male that he missed one tree top and found himself falling. The ice was cold and unforgiving when he landed on it, the whole of his right side stung, as he had twisted around during the fall. He groaned, opened his eyes and attempted to rise again. His paws slid out from under him sprawling in all direction so that he lay upon the ice in a star shape. The normally good natured wolf was quickly growing frustrated, a growl rumbling up past his barred fangs.

She waddled across the snowy plains. Her paws were engulfed by the white powder with each step. Her tail swept across the snow as she walked. White specks littered her earthy toned pelt. Her nose was wet and nearly frozen. She trotted peacefully through the snow with a bit of a smirk upon their muzzle. She was not happy, just a bit .. cheery. Her cheeky smirk was enough to express that. Yellow orbs flicked about as she trekked. The snowfall wasn't horribly thick but enough to cloud what was ahead. She sensed a being close, the scent of Wolf was fresh but she was not close enough to tell whom it was. The demon had visited this recently, it was an underwater, frozen, forest thingy. The concept confused the woman.

She continued to trot through the snow before her eyes feasted upon fresh tracks. Her smirk thickened as she saw a Wolf just within sight. A plop was heard as they male fell onto his belly. He attempted to get up but just slid and fell again. She remembered her first adventure onto the ice and she did the same. The girl let forth a giggle. She trotted onto the ice carefully. Though, she was not careful enough. The behemoth went sliding forward. She grimaced as she fell onto her belly and slid a bit more. She came very close to hitting the male, a few inches. The demon growled and went limp. She laid on the ice with a huff. Dammit! This ice will be the death of me! She snarled and tried to get up, not even bothering to notice the man. She scurried to her paws but fell again. A growl ripped through the air, Curse it to hell! She went limp and just laid there, letting her body numb from the ice.

Gitan had not really noticed the female until they nearly collided, he felt the brush of fur slide past him, narrowly missing a full on collision. From her scent she was female though he was not in a good enough position to really see her. He chuckled a bit as she spoke, finding her words oddly amusing. He heard the sounds of a struggle and then that of a body hitting the ice. The multi-colored man maneuvered himself so that he lay facing her; he tucked a paw under his chest and offered the female his most charming smile.
He had been right in assuming she was female, albeit she was a large woman. Not wholly un-attractive but not very much to Gitan?s taste. His grin remained as charming as ever though. "Looks as though we have both found ourselves in quite a predicament." He laughed again, not at the woman, though her position was comical enough. He assumed his was just as amusing. "You know what they say: the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and it seems right now we have both found the ice to be less than friendly." He gave a half-hearted attempt to get up again, and allowed his paws to slip, giving an overly dramatic sigh as he hit the frozen water once more.

She watched the male with mild interest as her slithered to face her. The demoness had an empty look within her eyes, but there was a twinkle of something. Something no one could place. Her body was rather thick but she carried herself with a sort of elegance. A dark elegance. Though, on the ice it was more like she had hooves rather then paws. She stared at him before a bit of a smirk flicked across her marred muzzle. She watched as a smile danced across his features. She admired his looks. She couldn't hold back a smile of her own. But, she was more wicked then him.

His baritone voice came into her ears like a flood. She nodded softly before words were let forth. "This is the second damn time this week!" She let forth a gentle laugh before his words flowed into her ears. She grinned even more from his last bit of words, though he had no clue whom he just bumped into. Her eyed roamed his body shamelessly as he fell back down. The demoness laughed at him again and tried to get up herself. The woman was careful, her tail high for balance. She stuck her claws into the ice, she looked like a Stag on ice with her broad stance. A ghust of snow and wind pelted her and made her lose her balance. A thud was heard as shit hit the ice. A groan was let forth and she sighed. Her eyes remained shut for a few moments before she opened them. Canttina looked back to him. "I guess we are going to have to do it .. the whimpy way." She laughed, reffering to crawling across the ice. What is your name hott stuff?" She smirked again, "Mine is Canttina, Canttine Cael"

There was something about the female that he liked. Her laughter would have brought a smile to his face had he not already been grinning. ?If I were you I?d stay away from ice from now on.? His tone was light, not mocking but amused nonetheless. He watched as she attempted to rise up to her paws only to be toppled and end up next to him on the ice again.
He supposed she was right, they would have to do this the undignified way. He laughed again as she addressed him, he raised an eyebrow. Hot stuff huh? He thought. ?Well Canttina Cael, a pleasure to meet you, to wish it were under better circumstances but nonetheless, I am Gitan Gringoire,? his name was spoken with an accent and a flourish of his forepaw as greeting, ?at your service madame.

Her yellow orbs peered into his. There was no doubt she was attracted to the male. He was a spitting image of the girl except more masculine and he had emeralds for eyes. His voice rang through her ears and she nodded. She would not be dancing upon the ice any more. The first time was nothing but an accident. "At least the frozen patch of hell led me to you, darling." She smirked and licked her muzzle. The woman eyed him again, without a care in the world. Her comment seemed to strike his confidence up.

The woman stared at him but he began to speak some more. His tone was regal and dramatic. Oh how she loved the drama in things. The scarred woman laughed some as she saw the paw movement, then he added on madame. "The pleasure is all mine, m'lord." Her voice was stable and regal. She smirked and dipped her head down in a bow. "You are just delightful. Ive not met such a man here. One that knows true manners. Everyone is so .. horrid." She laughed again before she swerved to face the closest bit of snow. The brutish girl began to crawl on the ice carefully. She dug her claws into the ice with each little paw movement. She turned her head around to see him and urged him to follow.

As the demoness got to the edge she hopped up and shook some snow off her earthy body. She snapped her teeth shut and looked to the male. "I would be caught dead before I got on the ice again." She yawned slowly and shook out her neck with a growl. She watched him with intense excitment, though her eyes were still full of a certain darkness even he would be able to see. "Tell me of yourself, Lord Gitan" She sat in the snow, her pelt shone in the sunlight. Bits of crimson blood still lined her fur, caked in. It was not hers, but her meals from days past. She enjoyed covering herself in blood.

She was different from many of the other females Gitan was used to. Eyebrows would lift as she spoke. His dark green orbs sizing her up again. Who was this woman? She flashed her tongue across her muzzle and he noticed the ragged edge. Once more he wodered at who this strange female was. His ears perked as she laughed. Then she spoke.

It was his turn to laugh, he was going to correct her when she began to speak again. "Glad I could be of service madame" She swung away and began towards the snow. He lay on the ice watching her progress, a small smile tugging at his muzzle. It was only after she glances back at him that Gitan followed her.

When he reached the snow she was already seated. He rose shakily to his paws, shook out his pelt fluffing it against a biting northern wind.He chuckled at her words. "I am no lord madame,," he said seating himself upon the snow, "in fact there is very little of true interest about me. I was born of two nomadic wolves, my father stuck around long enough to teach us English then left. My mother taught us her own tongue, most likely to spite my father. Motherhood was not kind to her, she longed for the freedom to go where she willed. On the worst nights she used to say to me: 'Vous etait n?e un gitan et comme un gitan tout la terre serait a vous.'" The french tumbled from easily and eloquently from his tongue. "She was telling me that travel was in my blood. I suppose she was right. One day when I was old enough I wandered away from the den and never looked back. I've been many places, seen many thing. But now my dear lady, what about you? Tell me about you."
