It was going away, the snow was starting to melt and leave puddles here and there. It was perfect!

Resnera bounded through the grass from her den, giggling as she ran, paws drumming. The small puddles she ran through would make splashes from under her paws, but she didn't stop. The pup managed to find a few puddles close enough to each other for her to run in circles.

One circle, two, three. Her dark coat was now covered in a mixture of snow, water and mud, but she did not care. Her tongue hung out the side of her jaws, breathing heavily, standing in a dry spot with her tail wagging like mad. Within a second though she was off once again, running at a rock just a few feet ahead, attack on her mind.

As a rogue the young boy didn't have much to do. It seemed like he was just asking for trouble lately. Maybe he was getting to that age, though he wasn't quite a teen yet.

His paws trailed through the boundaries of Valhalla, his nose reaching the new scents but his mind never really thinking about where he had wondered off to. And he was now in the danger of another territory. But what was the pup supposed to know? He knew nothing of packs and boundaries, there was no one to teach him otherwise. And so walking into Valhalla was just like taking another walk in the park.

His ears swiveled and his legs stood still as one paw was lifted in the air. His nose twitched as he tried to determine what kind of subject was making the splashes in the puddles nearby. But he was too young to tell for himself.

And so the boy started stepping his way to the noise, starting at a walk for a few strides before trotting. And before long, his eyes came across a girl, much younger then him and colored with a strange snowy pelt. But who was he to say her coat was strange.

He silently approached her, coming up behind her and then jumped into a puddle beside her, some of the water attempting to hit her pelt. And he all but let out a chuckle before his blue orbs swirling with green looked at her and his voice let out a deep voice, almost playful.

"Hey there!"

Flyn

With a bound of joy Flyn pelted through the melting snow zooming through the puddles like a fleeing rabbit. Since it was Spring that meant that his birthday was coming up, and he would soon be another year older. Stopping to admire himself in a puddle, Flyn laughed at how ragged and clumpy his fur was. As the snow melted his winter coat went with it, patch by patch. Now with half of his fur shedded away he looked like he was loosing his puppy fur, which he wasn't. Giving his reflection a crooked smile he grabbed a patch of loose fur and pulled it out. But even through he didn't want to look like a sheep, there was way to much for him to pull it all out. Giving up he continued to trot along.

As he came up to what he had heard was the Vahallan border, Flyn scented the air. Drifting on the wind was the scent of wolf, each having a completely different smell. Not knowing the scents of the land yet he continued forward, curious as to which pack either of them were from, if they were from any. As he got closer he sniffed again, and concluded that one of them had the crisp scent of the so-called Vahallan territory. The other wolf's scent was more earthy and wild, but not knowing if that was the scent of a pack, Flyn put aside all of his assumptions about that wolf's smell. After taking one last sniff he pricked his ears, hearing a rustle in the brush. Leaning in closer he also made out a few splashes and yips. Were the wolves fighting?

With a curious pad forward he stuck his head through the bush, leaving it out in the open for either of the wolves to see. As he let his tongue loll he examined the wolves in front of him. Their markings were like nothing he had seen before, and they were amazing! Both of the wolves were younger than him, and the one he had pinned as a Vahallan had the soft coat of a puppy. Flyn took another cautious step through the bush, knowing that if the pup had caring parents, they would surely punish him for playing with her. But not wanting to be alone on this big island, Flyn leaped through the bush with a large smile on his face, letting his tongue dangle out of the side of his mouth. Noticing that both of the other wolves had seemed to of just met he opened his mouth and barked, "Hi! I'm Flyn Coons!"
