He was a bit further from home than he should have been. Some pups wandered because they felt lonely or isolated, some because they were bullied or wanted to escape the chaos. But Aeron? He had no reason, no general idea of where he was going or why. The young male only let his feet take him wherever the right direction seemed to be, his mismatched eyes barely paying attention to where he was going, only focused enough to make sure that he didn't trip over his own feet. The eastern lands were to some, beautiful, but to him they were too lively, too teeming with anything and everything. Of course, it was all a bit chilly, and when there weren't a plethora of trees littering the area there was sure to be snow. His small figure shivered lightly, but his winter coat had started coming in and protected him from the deep chill that could set in his bones and make him ill.

Through forested areas and rocky expansions he walked, walked for hours, slowly tiring but none of it showed on his face. That blank visage never wavered, never flashed with emotion or expression. The calm was strange, but it seemed to be all that he knew. Of course there was the warmth that he felt for his mother, his siblings, was that love? At times he was curious about the fickle feeling, but he wasn't at the age to go chasing relationships. Perhaps though, that was what he was missing, that little fraction to the equation that left the poor boy off kilter.

For now though, he didn't know that he was off kilter. He was Aeron, son of Luce, member of Tortuga and... and wandering. The sound of water could be heard in the distance, and he was curious enough to see what it was. And so he veered off course and toward the sound, wondering what lie ahead.

She had been following him. Trailing just far enough back to go unnoticed by the pup. What was he doing so far from his mother? Didn't he know monsters walked the earth looking for the helpless. Much like himself. She had yet to get a clear look at him, following his innocent puppy scent. The sound of rushing water was getting closer. She remained out of sight until they reached his destination, coming up behind with quiet steps. "A little far from home, aren't we?" Soft tones cooed to the youngster, pools of toxic color looking down at him, a smirk tugging at her dark lips. He was intricately marked, with mismatched eyes.

It was cold out. Her naturally thick coat, along with her winter coat kept her warm, but his hadn't seem to set in yet, or what little he had couldn't have been keeping him warm. If he got lost, he would surely die out here. It was so rare to see a softer side of her. Most would only see the cold blooded killer that waited in the shadows of her eyes. But kids. They always softened her features, brought a genuine smile to her face, made her forget her desire to kill. But she had no desire to have her own. At least not yet. She had yet to find a man who's throat she didn't want to rip out. Besides her brother, but he would kill any pups she had.

"What's you name?" Tones where soft, yet firm, she didn't want any funny business from him, she had no desire to play games, or for an attitude. Dropping her haunches to the earth, tail curled around her as she waited expectantly, gaze resting on the young boy.

He paused, hearing the sound of someone's voice. They were speaking to him - what did they want from him? The boy turned away from the sound of rushing water, and stared half heartedly at the woman that had spoken. Her soft voice struck him as strange, similar to his mother's voice but not nearly as calming. "I guess." He answered back, not sure how far away counted as far away from home. He was a good half day's travel, maybe more? Nothing to worry about if it was up to him, but he supposed it wasn't entirely up to him in the end.

It was getting cold, and mother would start to worry. That was never the boy's intention when he set out on his own.

"I'm Aeron." Questions were easy, he rarely had a problem asking questions. It was opinions that he struggled with, questions about his feelings, where he would end up not answering or ignoring the other because he wasn't sure what to do with the subject. She sat down, and he mimiced her, although his skinny tail didn't curl around his legs the way that it did hers. "Who are you?" He asked, idly curious about who this woman was. "Do... you know my mother?" Perhaps they were friends of some sort, and if that were the case she was here to bring him back to Tortuga.

He wouldn't mind going home, but he didn't mind seeing a bit more of the world either.
