He wasn't sure what he felt. His world had tilted, spinning on its axis and whirling out of control and yet... he felt no fear, no anxiety, no hatred or sadness, only an overwhelming sense of calm and peace and that perhaps, frightened him the most. He didn't care that Pip was gone, he had no desire to see her. If she stumbled upon him, so be it, otherwise he didn't mind, she had left him, he had not chosen to abandon Valhalla for a different pack, she was no longer family and thus he made sure his feet did not take him to Seracia. He padded in the opposite direction. Seracia was the only other pack he knew of... well besides Glaciem, he had heard stories of the snow and ice covered mountains, but knew little about it. The scent of the land changed and being the curious half-ling that he was, he wandered towards it. Two toned gaze would linger on the strange surroundings, attempting to take it all in and absorb it. Even if he was dealing with his own stresses, he was still a puppy and he got distracted easily. Curiosity was a big factor in the youths life and he was mesmerized by this strange place. His tail wriggled behind him, excited that he had found somewhere new, somewhere exciting, everything else in the young males life, was momentarily forgotten. He had almost forgotten what it felt like to be so exuberant about something! A rustle, a foreign scent, something different cause his nose and the small obsidian male turned, two toned gaze seeking the source of his noise, both curiosity, excitement and fear all twining within his mismatched gaze.

The young Oberon had not wandered far, but he had wandered. The quiet youngster needed some space and some time. As much as he loved his siblings, he needed to breathe. And sometimes it was hard around them. It wasn't something that he had really tried to explain, though. His grasp of words was not quite strong enough for him to have pulled that off. But that would come in time, though it would probably take a little bit more time than it would take his sisters, since Oberon was a quiet creature.
Padding along quietly, the young male stopped only when the scent of another drifted beneath his nose. It was strange, and in a pack that was not particularly large, that was not exactly a common thing. Hmm. Oberon twitched his ears, and made a split second decision to pad in the direction of the stranger, poking his head through the underbrush to find his gaze settling on a larger black pup. Hmm. Oberon twitched his ears, shoving the rest of his body forward.
With that, Oberon settled back on his haunches, cocking his head slightly to the side. Faded purple eyes were locked on the other pup, though Oberon didn't deign to make a sound. Instead he waited, head tilted slightly, for the other pup to explain himself.

He was....far. This place, this land, everything about it was unfamiliar to the pup, he didn't recognize anything, wasn't sure if he could return home, wasn't sure that he knew the way. Gabriel hadn't yet thought of these worries or these fears, he was still too gone in his curiosities to give them any thought. This place was so large, so magnificent and here and now he had the chance to explore it all! Why wouldn't he take it? This...must be a different territory, like his mum and dad before him, this must be someone elses home. Was he supposed to be here? Would he get in trouble for this? He didn't care, he needed to know more about this strange land and excitement thrummed through his small body. His two toned gaze would flicker at the rustling of a few bushes, ears careening forward, body tentatively moving the male would slowly pad forward. He made note to stay back several paces from the brush, in case something tried to grab at him... he didn't want his coat to be dirtied. Cocking his head to the side, he crouched low as something....even smaller than him scampered through the brush. He blinked comically and for a long moment silence reigned. One starring down the other before hesitantly, Gabriel stepped forward. ?Hello...m'names Gabriel, who are you?? His tone was quiet, soft, he had never been loud or rambunctious. Curiosity gleamed in the depths of his gaze as he sized up the pup before him. He wondered whom he was and if this was in fact his home.

The other pup was black, with mis-matched eyes and a quiet demeanor. Oberon approved of him immediately. He didn't like useless chatter. Unless it was his sisters. But he adored them no matter what, so that didn't really matter. Still, as he waited for the other to speak, Oberon was quiet, quiet until the other pup introduced himself. Gabriel. The name had a ring to it. "O...Oberon." He introduced himself in turn, tongue stumbling slightly over the length of his name. He was clearly still a little new talking, and the words were an unfamiliar language to the creature who had before relied upon body language and squeaks of varying pitch to get his point across.
"You don't smell like my famileh." Oberon observed, tilting his head slightly as he examined the black figure. Why didn't he smell like Ludicael? Was he from another place? Or was he just a stranger to Oberon? He didn't think that the other was from Ludicael, but it was a possibility, as Oberon had not run into other wolves very often. Much of his interactions had been limited to his family, especially his sisters and mother. His father too, but that was a bit more limited, and other packmembers?
Well, suffice it to say that Oberon did not remember the pack meeting that had occurred in his mother's den when he was born.

It seemed the two would be at a stale mate. Silence reigned, but it wasn't uncomfortable. Almost as though the two had a silent understanding of one another. Gabriel would not hinder or dare break that calm tranquility, and neither, it seemed, would his sudden guest. It was Gabriel whom caved first, speaking his name and little else, he had never been a loud, obnoxious creature and that held true here. His rump plopped down to sit before the smaller pup before him, his nimble legs stretching out before him as he reclined upon the grass. A huff escaped his larynx as he collapsed, mismatched eyes, starring his new acquaintances down. ?Oberon.? Gabriel tested the name, rolling it, tasting it upon his tongue, he liked it, it carried a solid ring too it. It was strong, a fitting name. He picked up his two front paws stretching them out before him and resting his cranium upon them with an almost silent harumph of air. ?Cool name.? The next inquiry came a moment later and Gabriel's ears swung backwards to pin against his cranium, mildly submissive. ? I'm not from here... I'm from Valhalla.? Gabriel had only just gotten to pronouncing his packs name right. ?But this seemed like a cool place, so I came to investimagate.? The long word was tangled and mispronounced on Gabriel's part, but his tail swung animatedly behind him, revealing his true excitement.

Oberon twitched his ears, listening as the other repeated his name, testing it out, tasting it in his maw. Hmm. It sounded rather interesting in the other wolf's voice. He seemed to be much more in command of his voice than Oberon was, and the younger pup felt a slight twinge of envy at that. But he figured that he would be able to do that soon enough. Some day. "Thank you." A pause, and then, "Yours ish cool too." Oberon stated that with a twitch of his tail, but even as he spoke he was settling back on his haunches, tail curling daintily around his petite paws as he examined the pup before him. The other seemed to be quite a bit older than him, but that didn't matter.
They seemed to be content to be quiet in each other's presence, and Oberon appreciated it. This was nice. "Whas Valhaha?" The pup queried, tilting his head as he attempted to pronounce the strange name and failed miserably. He had never heard of that place. But then again, he hadn't met a whole lot of wolves. So maybe there were a bunch of other places that he'd never heard of. But his world had only been his den for almost his entire life and the thought of it being a lot bigger than that made Oberon shudder slightly. Other than that, however, his discomfort was largely contained, acknowledged but not displayed.
Nodding slightly, Oberon twitched his tail easily, "My home is very cool." Not that he knew anything else to compare it to. But the glowing waters had entertained him for hours when he'd first left the den and they were gorgeous. "Wanna see more?" The offer was extended without second thought; Oberon understood little of things like boundaries and trespassing. He just knew that he liked this pup so far, and if he was interested in seeing more of Oberon's home, Oberon would be happy to share it.

Gabriel had grown in a family but his persona had taken on a bit more of a loner. He was quiet, reserved, soft spoken, and he didn't enjoy obnoxious or rambunctious activities. He was a much more laid back character, slender rather than bulky and broad, more agile than comprised of muscle, as he grew, in all reality, his physique would appear more feminine than masculine, but Gabriel had already come to terms with the fact that he was simply different, he embraced it. A polite word of thanks was given, followed shortly by a compliment of his own. Despite himself, inky black lips pulled up into a large grin, and his thin tail dusted the earth behind him. It wasn't often he got compliments, and it mattered little whom it came from. ?Thank you, mama said I was named after an angel, but I don?t remember any stories of angels looking like me.? He smiled, showing the knowledge didn't disturb him in the slightest. The next question came and he tilted his head to the side contemplating how to answer. What was Valhalla other than a place to sleep and be safe? ?Valhalla, is where my family is! My brother and my sisters, its my real home, its really pretty there, maybe one day you can come and see it?? He cocked his head to the side, curious if his new friend would want to see him again, he was very much enjoying himself and he hoped his new friend wouldn't think he was strange, enough wolves already thought something was wrong with him. He didn't want to push, but if Oberon wished to see his home, he was more than welcome! Gabriel gave a short, soft, bark as he bounded to his feet excited at the invitation. He bobbed his head and quickly closed the gap between them, remaining only a few breaths away. His tail drifting back and forth happily behind him. ?I would love too! Lead the way!? he rumbled quietly, his smile giving away his excitement as he followed his new friend further into Ludicael.

An angel? There was a lot that Oberon didn't know, it seemed. He frowned, ears pricking in Gabriel's direction as he mulled over the answer that he had been given. "Whas an an...angel?" He tested out the word carefully, tilting his head as he examined the black wolf with his mismatched eyes. A lot of the stuff that Gabriel talked about was stuff that Oberon had never heard of. His experiences had been limited, however, and clearly Gabriel had seen a lot more than Oberon had! Maybe Gabriel had seen the whole world! He was certainly about to see Oberon's whole world, which was pretty much limited to his den and the little bit of Ludicael that he had explored.
But Valhaha or whatever didn't seem like a half bad place. Maybe Oberon would see it. But not for a while. Still, he twitched his tail slightly and took a long moment to answer, "That would be aweshome!" Oberon enthused, tail flicking in the air behind him. He paused, taking a moment to still his tail, not feeling entirely comfortable with overly enthusiastic displays of his emotions. It wasn't something that either of his parents had done around him, and thus, it was never something that Oberon had become comfortable with.
As soon as Gabriel spoke, Oberon rose to his paws, "C'mon!" Oberon waved his tail like a little flag behind him, setting off in search of the nearest body of water. It didn't take him long to reach it, and Oberon came to a dainty stop as he examined it, sniffing the air carefully.
"The wudder lights up at night." Oberon announced proudly, eager to show off his home to the other pup. "Ish pretty." Again, he was stumbling over the words like most pups did, though he was being more verbose around Gabriel than he was around anyone other than his sisters. Tail wagging just slightly, Oberon turned to look at Gabriel, eager to hear what the other thought of Oberon's favorite feature of his home.

His mother had told him stories, ancient lullabies, myths and legends from days of old, his mother was full of stories and as a youth he had a natural tendency to listen, he adored the words that tumbled from his mothers lips and he would often sit for hours while she spoke. Her voice would forever be a soothing murmur in the back of his brain, a sound that would always bring him comfort, always bring him love, but he didn't wanna think of her right now, he made a new friend, a really cool friend and Oberon was asking him a question. ?Angels are like...um... guardians! Like really pretty wolves that we can't see but keep us safe!? Gabriel chirped, attempting to explain the complexities of angels. Gabriel's short, near hairless tail wiggled incessantly at the fast acceptance of seeing his own home and his rump wiggled right along with his tail. He had never had a friend outside his family! He wondered if his mom would approve? Ah well... she didn't have to, Oberon wasn't her friend. ?Its all foresty with a giant lake!? Gabriel tried to explain Valhalla a little bit better. As Oberon rose to his paws and bounded away Gabriel was fast to catch up. Trotting along at his side, he let the younger set the pace, excited by his new friend and this new place! It was so...awesome here! They reached the edge of the water swiftly and Gabriel lowered his front half, rump and tail swinging playfully in the air as he padded forward and dipped his nose into the water, playfully he licked the water, and grinned as the ripples slowly scattered and then faded away, he turned to face Oberon, grinning wildly. ?It lights up at night? Thats so cool! I wanna see! Your home is so pretty!? Gabriel smiled widely, tail swinging freely, were all other places this amazing?
