The large Ivory male took a seat atop one of the many hills. Stunning emerald eyes watched the practically empty lands. He wasn't expecting to see anyone here, aside from the little white fox he called his companion, his friend. He looked behind himself to see where the small girl was. Satisfied that she hadn't gone off to far he turned back to the many hills before him and closed his eyes.

Granted this wasn't the safest place to relax, it was one of the few places to be that no one else ever really visited. It was also a place he wasn't likely to get eaten by another predator, somewhere he wouldn't have to worry to awful much about Pearl.

While Slate sat in silence the blue eyed fox walked around the bottom of the hill her wolf sat on in an attempt to find anything small to eat. She didn't eat much in one sitting but she could probably down a horse in a single day with as much energy as she spent trying to keep up with her much larger companion. He was 38 inches tall and she was just below a third of that height. His longer strides meant that she had to take faster steps because her strides were naturally shorter.

A field mouse ran out of a rather small patch of grass and the small white frame had crushed it in her small jaws within seconds. With a proud trot she made her way up to Slate where she lay next to him and ate the little brown mouse in no more than two bites. Hardly a snack, she would just have to deal until her grey socked wolf caught fish later.

He could hear his companion move to his side. The man could practically feel Pearl's eyes boring into the side of his head. He ignored her silently with a smile spread across his maw.
