Lazily her oddly colored eyes opened from their comfortable slumber. It took her all of two seconds to remember why she was surrounded by pleasantly scented ebony fur. Cherokee had stayed with her through the night, his head placed gently on her paws. She wasn't ready to start waking up yet, her level of comfort was too high for that. What a enjoyable night she had experienced yesterday. She had a exciting day ahead of her now, her first date!
She pulled her head away from the soft bed of fur to see if she could start the day. Her own pelt was dry by this time, and unfortunately for her that meant she'd have to unvelcro herself from the black counterpart. That part was rather unfortunate, but she wanted to be proper. If she hadn't of been soaking wet they never would have slept in such close contact. "Good morning." She nuzzled the black head that had been resting with her. Indeed it was a good morning. She hadn't felt this good since she left her mother's pack. She only wished there was food in her belly. As if on que her stomach rumbled.

He never would've thought that he would ever be curled up in a makeshift den with a beautiful woman. Never in his wildest dreams had he ever envisioned something like this. The night had gone on quietly, the pair curled up with each other. It was the first time in a long while that Cherokee had actually been able to enjoy sleeping and really get a good nights rest. This particular night hadn't been like any of the others. Before the day with Song, the obsidian man hadn't really slept much. He had hardly done anything during the day that would merit an actual night of rest. Most of the time when he bedded down it was only for a few hours before he up and wandering again. But last night he'd slept through the entire night, his head contently resting against the ivory dove's paws. Sleep had been a blissful thing that night.

He was content in his land of dreams, the date with Song forgotten for the time being. And then he could feel a rumble at his stomach accompanied by a nuzzle to his neck. Pulling himself away from the dream land, Cherokee stirred slowly. His dual-toned occulars cracked open, blinking slowly as he began to regain his senses. The first thing to register in his sleep-hazed mind was that Song was awake. Her own two-toned gems were watching him as she bid him goodmorning. A sleepy smile curled his jaws before a yawn overtook him, a high pitched whine slipping through before he shook it off, fully awake now. Goodmorning miss Song. Did you sleep well? As he pulled his crown from her paws, another thought registered with him. The rumble. It hadn?t been his stomach, so it must?ve been Song?s. She was hungry. Cherokee would take care of that.

It didn't tak eher counterpart very long to wake up, With a yawn ad shake of the head he was fully alert. He pulled his head from her lap as he asked her how she slept the night before. "Mmm, I slept wonderfully." She smiled at him, wondering who would move first. She knew she had enjoyed every moment of his closeness, but she wondered how he was feeling. He had asked her on a date so at least it sounded like he was somewhat interested in hanging out with her.
Her stomach was on her mind, being how empty it was, but she was too reluctant to part from Cherokee. She wasn't cold anymore, but his presence had brought a sort of comfort to her. She didn't need to have him by her, but she thoroughly enjoyed it. "How about yourself? I'm sure my paws couldn't have been that comfortable." Her smile ended the sentence. She hoped he had enjoyed a good night, like she had. She couldn't be positive but his eyes did seem a bit brighter this morning. Maybe he had slept as well as she.
Another growl rumbled through her stomach. She looked at it surprised, "I'd say it's about time for that breakfast you were talking about."

Mmm, I slept wonderfully. Her words were accompanied by a smile, which sent Cherokee's empty stomach fluttering with butterflies. Jeez. He hadn't felt like this around a woman in...well never. He'd never been with a woman like this or any sense. He'd never flirted with a girl, never hung out with one. Back with his family he had never found the need to do. He'd always been comfortable being around his family. He never required friends. If he did go out, it was on his own. He'd never had the pleasure of another's company, other than that of his parents or sisters, until now. And what company he had.

Though the two were fully awake now, it didn't seem like either wanted to move from where they were, at least Cherokee didn't. He thoroughly enjoyed the feeling of Song's smaller frame tucked against his own. It just felt right. The obsidian brute mentally chastised himself. Dude, you barely freaking met her. Calm the hell down. Do you even know if she likes you? She could just be acting polite because she doesn't wanna come off as rude...But what about the kiss? His mind froze as he recalled the brief kiss she'd bestowed him with before they'd fallen asleep. Had that meant anything or was that her way of thanking him? It was times like these that he wished he had more experience with the female species.

And then she was talking again, asking him how'd slept last night. I'm glad you slept well miss Song because I slept amazingly. Your pretty paws are quite comfortable actually. He presented her with his own smile in return, his thoughts silenced for the moment. A rumbling from beside him brought his dual-toned gaze to rest on Song's abdomen. She seemed surprised as her stomach announced its presence as well as its lack of nutrition. A low chuckle rumbled in his chest as he slowly rose to his paws, careful not to let Song suddenly fall back. Spine arched in a feline manner, limbs splaying out as he stretched. A stupid grin curled his lips as he wondered how ridiculous he might look to Song, stretching his seemingly giant body in the small space. After chasing the weariness from his muscles Cherokee was careful as he gingerly stepped over Song, mindful of where his paws went lest he accidentally step on his companion. He stopped after he was completely on the other side of her, facing towards the entrance, turning his crown as he lowered it to her level. Presenting her with a small smile, the obsidian brute allowed his dark lips to press against her cheek for a moment before he pulled away quickly, making a quick exit. The morning greeted him with a cool chill, the sun cresting over the treetops, illuminating his dark figure. He stood before the entranced, heart drumming crazily inside his chest in reaction to his bold move, lids falling closed as he soaked up the sun, audits flicked back to the den, wondering what Song's reaction would be to the kiss and if she would follow him out.

Slightly surprised about his quality of sleep the night before, she wasn't unhappy to hear her prediction had been false. He must have slept about as well as she had, she couldn't help but to gro a bit red when she heard his comment about her paws. How sweet was he? He let out a low chuckle at the sound of her stomach, which didn't help her blushing any. What concerned her more was his movement. It was sad that their closeness was coming to a close. Hopefully it wouldn't be the last time they got to spend a night together.
Gingerly he finagled his large form around and over her. For having such a large form he knew where he was enough that she was not harmed. He got himself completely on the other side of where she was laying, she expected him to continue on out, and she would follow. What she hadn't expected was for him to turn around and give her not only a nice smile, but a lovely kiss upon the cheek. This brought back the pink tinge to her skin.
She didn't have time to do anything but give a quick exclamation before he was not in the cave anymore. She was stunned for just a moment before she could move again. Did he just...? He had. Her stomach became amassed with busy butterflies. Her head slightly dizzy from the experience. He kissed her! She was brought back to reality when her stomach suddenly grumbled again. She wanted food, and she wanted Cherokee back into her line of sight.
She pulled herself from the ground and lightly walked up and out of their den. His big form was waiting on her, his eyes closed he seemed to be enjoying the sun's rays. She was so nervous about what to say. She definitely could feel something stirring for him. He made her feel like no one was ever able to before. How could she get her feelings across to him, because her words had just disappeared. She wanted to muster something up, but all she could do was wrap her neck around his own. A perfect embrace.

He was completely oblivious to the fact of how his words had affected the porcelain dove. Though very well mannered and a good guy at heart, he was completely clueless when it came to woman. His mother had tried to teach him a thing or two about how to win over girl, but he had never understood. It felt rather ridiculous to him that a man had to make himself appear to be better than what he really was just to charm a woman or even get her attention. He didn't want to lure anyone in with false antics or corny pickup lines. He wanted a girl who liked him for him, not because of what he put up. And that's what he felt with Song. He only hoped she felt the same way.

And again he was unaware of the reaction he'd caused in Song because of his unexpected kiss. In all honesty he hadn't wanted to see because there was that possibility in the back of his mind that she could not like him and was just playing along to be polite. And so he'd made a quick exit, ducking out into the morning to bathe in the sunrays and gather himself. It was like each moment that passed was marked by the beat of his heart. Each beat was a moment and each moment felt like an eternity. What was going through her head? Had he overstepped his boundaries? Pushed her too far? The uncertainty of how his actions would be welcomed was killing him. But he stayed where he was, muzzle angled towards the tree-tops, bi-colored eyes shut tight as he strained to catch the tell-tale pawsteps that would tell him Song was coming up behind him.

He didn't have to wait long before he heard her soft steps come up behind him. At first he thought she was just going to come and stand beside him, perhaps warm up a little but to his surprise he could feel her shoulders pushing against his chest. Lids slid open, gaze flickering down to Song's ivory form as she pressed her against him, her neck, twining around his in an embrace. His heart sped up as he slowly lowered his crown meet her neck, his muzzle pressing into the silkiness of her shoulders, nostrils flaring as he breathed her in. She said nothing, merely embraced him. What was he supposed to say? Words escaped him. So he said nothing, deciding to say nothing at all but instead return her embrace, hugging her close to him. No other woman made him feel so...needed like Song did. He wasn't sure where these feelings were coming from, but he didn't think he wanted them to go away.

Words were not needed as she could feel the other wolf push closer to her, matching her own movements. It felt so good to have his warmth to share, no she could fend for herself. But that didn't mean she didn't want it. She enjoyed the butterflies that were welling up in her gut, she enjoyed the sweet scent that wafted off of his pelt, and she especially enjoyed him. She couldn't help the smile that found its way to her maw, how could someone she had just met cause her so much joy? Had she not been so preoccupied with everyday life she could have stood there with him for hours. Alas, her stomach was too empty for that.
Abdomen protesting at her wishes reminded her again that it was time to eat. Reluctantly she pulled away from Cherokee to start thinking about a hunt. Her face full of smile she initiated communication, "I'm sorry that I am so needy." She let her tail wag a bit, "What should we think about for breakfast?" It was time to switch from thoughts of comfort to thoughts of the hunt. She had always been a good hunter, one lesson she enjoyed taking from her mother.
As her mentality switched it was like her whole body became tense and ready to go. Her senses seemed to heighten as she let herself become less aware of her feelings and more aware of her surroundings. In the early morning hours there was bound to be something out ready to be harvested.

They were perfect exactly the way they were. There was no need for words to be exchanged; what would they say? In Cherokee's mind, this was like a silent affirmation that there was something there for Song too. Or was there? Maybe she didn't see him as more than a friend. That would be...disheartening. Then again, he couldn't expect so much on barely the second day. He sighed quietly into her shoulder. His thoughts and his imagination were starting to get the best of him. He needed to chill. There was no definite answer as to whether anything existed between them. He needed to let it go. If there was, there was. And if there wasn't, then there wasn't. No use stressing over it.

Once more came the rumble from her empty intestines, his own roaring stomach accompanying hers. Well, it seemed they'd had enough time together. It was time to find some breakfast now. Again it seemed that neither wanted to part from the other's embrace, but like always they reluctantly separated, Song's smile starting off the conversation once again. She was apologizing for being needy. Miss Song you have nothing to apologize for. You're not needy to me. Then again I'm not sure exactly what that means, but I'm more than 100% positive that you aren't. he tried to reassure, not wanting her to think that she was anything except beautiful. And then all feely thoughts aside, the hunt was priority now. I'm not sure. Did you have anything in mind? I was thinking perhaps a young doe would be a good way to go. Or perhaps if there's a nearby stream some salmon?

He didn't really care what they ate, as long as they ate. Although he was willing to go with whatever she would choose. His body slowly began shifting into hunting mode, his sense sharpening, becoming more alert to their surroundings. His two-toned gaze flickered across the foliage surrounding them before returning to Song, awaiting her decision.

She was much more aware of things going on around her Every rustle of the wind in the trees. The birds songs were clearer, and she could have sworn she could see more clearly. It was like she put her hunting goggles on. She could feel the adrenaline start to pump through her veins. Excitement welled up in her. She tried not to think about it, lest she lose her concentration, but this would be the first of a hopeful many hunts together. She was incredibly eager to see how it would turn out, if they could come together in and pull this off... There was no she wolf in the world who would be able to tear Cherokee from her paws.
It was still so early to tell, but Song just adored the thought of there being something more blossoming between them than just a simple friendship. After he had kissed her? It left her no doubt that he was thinking the same thing, not that either of them should have been thinking aout it at that moment. It was time to go on their first hunt together. A excited smile spread across her maw as she practically hopped to attention. Her audits focused on his words for her, would they go for a doe or maybe a slightly easier fishing trip?
"I think that I would rather stay away from the water, considering my current track record." She gave a slight giggle as she recollected the previous days events. Mentally she shook her head to refocus again. Breakfast time was approaching. "I will follow your lead." She nodded for him to take the first bound forward, off to search for their next meal.

Despite needing to concentrate on the hunt ahead of them, Cherokee's thoughts couldn't help but wander to the night before, the kiss she'd given him, the fact that they'd slept so comfortably in each other's embrace as if they'd done it a hundred times before and the fact that he had returned her kiss this morning, possibly giving away the brewing feelings inside of him. How could a woman he had just met cause this? They were still strangers, but a voice in his mind told him that it didn't change anything. She was his. He was hers. It wasn't known or official or anything, but he had already made up his mind. He wasn't going to let her go. He would do everything in his power to be around her as much as he could until he felt it was the right time to make things official between them. He hoped it would come to that soon.

He could see the excitement clear as day across her pretty face, her attention fully concentrated on him. It seemed like just when he was getting his thoughts focused on the hunt, Song stole his focus once again. Was it her smile? Her voice? Her pretty face? Maybe it was just Song as whole. She was too beautiful not focus on. His ongoing thought process of her was momentarily stalled as she spoke up, her words causing a quiet laugh to bubble from his ebon lips.
I think that I would rather stay away from the water, considering my current track record.
She was too much, but the obsidian knight would never get enough of her. How about I fish and you supervise? Does that sound fair? He honestly didn't mind if yesterday's incident was repeated; that would just mean more snuggling for the pair, but he knew it was pretty uncomfortable to walk around with wet fur so opted for the latter. He could fish and she could watch. A win-win for both of them.

So it was set. Fishing it was. Cherokee turned to right, wanting to go farther into the forestry in search of a pond or stream that could hold their breakfast. Song's words brought a crooked grin to his dark kissers. Let's get this show on the road. He gently bumped the white dove with his shoulder before starting along, his pace slow. There was no hurry. Yet anyways.

It was to be a fishing trip the couple would be enjoying that morning. Song was quite excited since she had't enjoyed fish i quite some time. She wasn't particularly great at fishing so she was also a it relieved to hear she could sit the session out. She felt a little bad though because it sounded like Cherokee would be doing all of the work. Maybe she could rustle up a squirrel to bring to the table. "This sounds an awful lot like you'll be doing all of the work." She was still far from feeling okay with him doing things for her. It seemed as though every time she turned around that he was watching out for her again. "I just don't want to be a burden on you. I promise I'm usually a lot more independent than this."
She bumped him back as they started their walk towards another body of water. She didn't want to get drenched again, but the consequences of being wet were tempting. Snuggling with Cherokee was high on her list of things she was wanting to do again. She'd have to work on that after she had finished eating. His pace was slow enough that she was comfortable walking with him. Because they were going after fish they didn't even have to worry aout how much noise they were making.
From out of no where she decided to tell him something, "I've really enjoyed my day with you, Cherokee. I'm glad you decided to ask me to talk." She smiled as she continued her steady lope next to him. Occasionally not on accident running into him. She just wished she had food in her belly so she could start focusing on snuggling with him again.

He honestly didn't mind doing all of the work. He felt like it was the least he could do after having gotten her soaking wet the night before. Not that he'd minded the after affects of that, but still, he still felt kinda about it. What better way to make it up to her than by getting her some delicious breakfast? It seemed Song didn't really like the fact that he was the one that was going to be doing everything. He chuckled, shaking his massive head in dismissal. Miss Song please don't fret your pretty head. I don't mind at all. It's the least I could do after having gotten you attacked by that wave. I can promise that you are not a burden on me at all. If I must admit, I like doing things for you.It was too late to take the last part of his response back. Would he sound weird for saying that? He hoped not.

A smile painted itself across his ebon kissers as he felt the porcelain maiden bump him back as they began their trek. He gave her a bump of his own in response, turning back for a moment to glance at her before returning his attention back to the path ahead of them. They hadn't wandered far from the ocean, so Cherokee assumed that there had to be some smaller bodies of water close by. A waterfall maybe? He'd gotten a whiff of one while arriving at the beach and he was thinking he could track it again. It had to have edible fish to dine on. If it didn't they could always keep on looking or they could just settle for a doe or maybe some hares if they happened upon some.

The pair was walking at a moderate pace, comfortable in the silence that had grown between them when from beside him came Song's voice as she confessed that she'd really enjoyed her day with him. His heart leapt into his mouth and he had to swallow before he could answer. I too have enjoyed my day with you miss Song and believe me, asking you to talk has been the best thing I've done in a while. Nape arched to the left, crown turning as his dual-toned gems flickered to her own, presenting her with a full blown smile as he pressed his body against hers. It seemed every moment he spent with her only worked to strengthen the feelings stirring inside of him. Audits tipped forward, dome swinging back to its former position as he caught the sound of rushing water. Could that be the waterfall? Cherokee redirected his path so that they strayed left, his massive frame gently guiding Song's as he began leading her to what he hoped were the waterfalls.

She was astounded at how much she desired to be next to him, she had never thought it possible to hold so much affection for a stranger. In reality she barely knew the other wolf, but of the few things she did know she was sure that she wanted him. From the way things were looking, he felt the same way about her. She was glad she caused the smile that brightened his face, it was contagious so she offered him one right back. The sight of his look made her butterflies start their antics again, but she wouldn't have it any other way.
She was expecting them to just continue forward, so she was slightly thrown off. With Cherokee's gentle nudges she found her way. He had smelled the running water before she had, the waterfall smelled fresh so there was bound to be some good fish lurking in the waters. She smelled it before she heard it and she heard it before she saw it, the falls were quite the sight. The clear water deposited itself in many different pools, she hoped they were full of life. It would be nice to gorge on seafood for once.
Her tail wagged as her breakfast time drew ever closer. She was cautious with her footing as they edged closer to the bodies of water. She didn't want to get to close, but man she wanted to peer in. Keeping her distance, she let her neck careen over the shore to look into one of the puddles. Her eyes were greeted with the sight of marine life swimming around in the pool. She figured once things started freeing up it would be much more difficult to find creatures in the slightly shallow water. "It seems like we'll be enjoying a big breakfast today!" She smiled excitedly as the pace of her wagging tail picked up She wasn't just excited about food, she was excited about sharing a meal with her ebony knight.

There was no doubt in his mind that he never wanted to be anywhere else except Song?s side. She was beautiful and charming and just really fun to be around. There was hardly a dull moment around the ivory dove. They barely knew each other, but he already knew with certainty that he had feelings that surpassed the border of friendship. And if he wasn?t wrong, Song appeared to reciprocate those feelings. He could be wrong after all, but he choose to hold on tight to the thought that Song liked him too. Made him feel more optimistic that way.

He she wouldn?t be expecting the sudden change in direction which was why he?d gently nudged her the right way, helping her like he had been doing since the night before. The fresh scent of the waterfall reached the pair almost instantly, the roaring sound of the falls hard to miss. It was huge. Clear azure water pooled at the bottom of the falls, the bottom clearly visible from the shore. It was a beautiful place. He could already see the fish swimming around in it and he knew they were going to have a very good breakfast that morning. Smaller pools surrounded the biggest one, all connected through tiny channels. It seemed that they would not only have a good breakfast, but a varied one if they so wished.

Cherokee held himself back a bit as Song took the lead, approaching the edge of the water cautiously, wary of where she stepped lest she fall into the water headlong. A mischievous thought flickered through his mind as he momentarily considered tossing Song into the water and diving in after her. The thought was quickly dissuaded, despite how much fun he figured it would be. Refocusing his attention on his ivory maiden, he watched as she carefully peered over the edge of the shore into the water, liking what she saw as she exclaimed about their big breakfast. We will soon I start fishing. he chuckled, coming up beside her, giving her tail a gentle nip before he stepped to the edge, his toes brushing against the cold water. His gaze flickered over the surface, watching as the fish darted around. You might wanna move back some Miss Song, it?s about to get really wet around here. The obsidian brute lowered himself, his belly just barely brushing the earth as he waited patiently for a fish to swim into his waiting grasp.

His big body padded up behind her, and for the slightest moment she thought she saw him hesitate. Would he throw her into the water? Probably not, but she almost wished he had. She could do with another warming up session.. There was a time and place for everything and the time now was breakfast time. She was enjoying her first date, and it would just get that much better when it was time to eat. He exuberantly nipped at her swaying tail, she let her furry tail bump into his muzzle as he pulled away. A playful smile sitting on her lips.
She was quick in responding to his cautionary tales. She wasn't up for being splashed. Her dainty feet carried her back toward the forest line. She didn't stray too far, an invisible rope caused her to stay close to the onyx beast. She paced with anticipation as he waited for the first fish to fall in his trap. His look of concentration was admirable. He was ready to catch some fish. Song couldn't help but find herself staring at his well toned body.
It was much easier to see his muscle definition while the sunlight hit his pelt. He was close to full grown, but Song would have bet he'd get a bit bigger before he reached his prime years. Unlike her, Song had quit growing almost a year ago. Sometimes she worried about her size, but maybe she wouldn't have to so much if she had an ebony body guard to back her up.

It would?ve been fun to throw her in the water, not to mention the fact that they would have to repeat last night all over again, but now wasn?t the time for games. Their bellies were empty and Cherokee was here to provide at the moment. Playing could be saved for later. He padded past her, nipping at her tail playfully only to be rewarded with a swat straight on the muzzle from her fluff of a tail. A grin split his lips as he glanced mischievously towards Song. He would get her for that after breakfast. She could count on it.

His words were heeded as Song was quick to retreat to a safe distance, well out of reach of the splash zone. He could still sense her close which allowed him to concentrate on fishing for their breakfast much more easily. He could hear the gentle padding of her paws as she moved, probably pacing as she waited for him to get a hold of a fish. He could tension between his shoulders and the only plausible explanation was that she was staring at him. He wiggled his shoulders, trying to shake the fact that her staring at him made him nervous. He had to do good. He couldn?t mess up in front of her and look like a fool. Focus. He chanted to himself, pushing Song out of his head for the moment as his dual-colored gaze danced over the surface of the water, watching as a pink scaled fish began to swim towards his direction. Cherokee readied himself, muscles tensed. The fish swam closer and closer, its head now aligned with the corner of his jaws. He waited until it was dead center before throwing his head in the water, eyes quickly shutting closed as his agape jaws closed over the fish.

Incisors sunk into the delicate flesh of the fish, impaling it inside his jaws. The obsidian brute was quick to pull his head back from the cold water, shaking it vehemently to free the water that had attempted to trap itself inside his ears. Water flung from his dark fur in all directions, showering the dirt around him. Nape twisted to the left as he glanced back towards Song, brandishing her fish in his jaws, plume wagging happily. He?d gotten her fish successfully. He attempted a bark, the sound muffled by the now dead fish in his mouth, motioning with his head for his ivory dove to come and receive her breakfast.

Song watched intently while he awaited the fish's presence. With out even being able to blink, his head was suddenly thrust toward the water, his jaws gaping ready to snap onto fish flesh. She held her breath for only a moment as his face was retracted from the pool. Water went everywhere as the scene cleared it was obvious he had been completely successful in his attempt. She fell back on her hind legs and pushed her front paws into the air excitedly. She squealed and rushed towards him, eagerly accepting his gift of food. Her tail sped almost as quickly as his as she let her paws bring her back to his side.
"That was brilliant!" She smiled at him happily as she placed her delicate jaws next to his. She let her blue and gold eyes fall on his own bi colored optics, thanking him wordlessly for the day's sustenance. She pulled the pink fish softly from his jaws and placed it at her feet. Her head was brought back up to let her nose touch his chin. "Thank you Cherokee," Her voice was soft, barely audible over the sound of the falls. She didn't stay in the position long, for she was hungry and the fish was begging to be eaten.
Her head fell back down to her paws, where the fish sat tantalizingly. She started where his jaws had penetrated the skin, grasping the tasty pink flesh with her teeth and placing her paw on its head she tore the flesh away from its frame. Now that she had a smaller piece she swallowed it easily. She looked back up to smile approvingly at him, "This tastes amazing!"

His fishing had been successful and Song would be able to eat well that morning. He didn?t fish often, but the few times he did he always managed to come through. This time had been no exception. He watched with muffled amusement as Song threw her forelimbs into the air, squealing in delight as he brandished his prize. Jeez was she was adorable when she did that. She rushed towards him, more than happy that he?d been able to snag her breakfast on the first try. She gingerly reached for the fish at his jaws, the obsidian brute relinquishing it easily enough as she lowered it before her paws, smiling happily at him as she exclaimed the brilliance of his performance. His tail wagged furiously behind his dark haunches, heart beating crazily inside his chest, proud of himself. She was even more beautiful when she got excited.

Once the fish was lying at her feet Song lifted her head once more, pressing her nose to his chin, her voice barely above a whisper as she thanked him. He lowered his muzzle, pink ribbon lashing out, the tip brushing against the tip of her nose. There?s no need to thank me miss Song, it was my pleasure. She didn?t linger after thanking him, her crown lowering as she began tearing away at the fish, swallowing hungrily, her mismatched gaze locking with his, approval of her meal apparent in her gaze and words. Glad you like it. He chuckled. Was it possible for her to get any cuter? He didn?t doubt it.

Now it was his turn to catch his own breakfast. Turning away from Song, Cherokee repositioned himself back at the edge of the water, gaze intent on its crystalline surface, just in time to catch another fish swim by in just the same spot. He tensed, jaw unhinged, waiting for the perfect strike. It came just moments after. The obsidian brute reacted in a split-second, his massive skull dipping into the water once again, jaws clamping over the fish, securing it inside his cavernous mouth. He recoiled, but unlike before he restrained himself from shaking, remembering that Song was just a few paw-steps away. So once out he lifted himself to his full height, trotting a little ways to his right, vigorously shaking his head to clear the water from his pelt. Confident that no water remained he trotted back to the pearly dame, lowering his massive frame onto the earth before, dropping his fish just inches from hers. Right forepaw trapped the fish?s now still head, sharpened incisors ripping away at the delicate flesh, tearing out a significant chunk. He chewed once, twice before allowing the meat to slip down his throat to land into his empty stomach. A content sigh slipped past his bloody lips, plume wagging gently behind him as he allowed his gaze to fall on Song as he ripped yet another chunk from his breakfast.

She giggled slightly as he licked her nose, he was so sweet. She enjoyed his presence an incredible amount. She continued eating the pink salmon while he trotted away to capture one for himself. She didn't think about it, but he was very close to where she was eating. Would he be good enough to keep her from getting wet? She should have never doubted him. After he was able to get his massive jaws around another helpless fish, he let his feet carry him far enough away that she would be kept from getting wet. He was pretty great, and Song was thankful that she had met him.
It was incredibly sudden the way he had come into her life, she hadn't even been sure of their continuing a friendship. What she was sure of now though, was that he would be a lot bigger part of her future than she had ever anticipated. She could feel her feelings intensify with each passing moment, unsure how it was even possible that she was falling so hard for someone she hardly knew. She wasn't upset though, she was glad cupid decided to target her. There were much worse fates she could have chosen.
He brought his fresh catch up to where she was eating and dropped his own fish close to her. His teeth ripping into the delicate flesh, sating his hunger. He sighed contentedly, and she could not help but to join him. "This is the greatest breakfast I've had in quite a time." It had been a pretty big fish so she could feel her stomach start to stretch, but she just couldn't stop eating the delicious fish. "You're the best, Cherokee."
Her smile spread wide across her maw. She was having one of the best days of her life.

He?d never met anyone like her before, which was probably one of the big reasons he was so?taken by her. Her nearly pure ivory fur and mismatched eyes gave her a unique beauty, something not found often back where he was from. Her cute little giggle snapped him from his thoughts, his stomach doing flips. She made him nervous and self-consciously but by some miracle he was able to keep everything beneath the surface, away from her observant eyes. His having caught his own fish hadn?t disrupted her own eating, but he had noticed how her eyes had tracked his movements, watching as he?d put some space between them to rid himself of the water, mindful of her avoidance of water at the moment. She seemed pleased that he had taken the effort to reduce her contact with water. He was a nice guy after all.

For a while Cherokee thought he would be alone, with only the sound of his pawsteps and shadow for company. He?d nearly come to terms with what appeared to be his fate, until he?d met Song of course. He didn?t know what exactly it was that drove him to request company from the porcelain dove, but he?d done it anyway. Had it been desperation at the lack of interaction with his own kin? He supposed it didn?t matter now. He was here with her and that was all that mattered. The feeling that were stirring in his gut were strange, ones he?d never had before, but he didn?t shy away from them, instead embracing them. Why should he push them away when they opened the doorway for him to maybe be around a woman like Song for a long time?

It felt really nice to share a meal with a beautiful lady. A new experience for the recently turned three year old. If Song stuck around a bit more, he felt like he would be having a lot of more new experiences. Audits flickered forward with attention as she spoke. The obsidian brute nodded in agreement. Couldn?t have said it better myself. He chuckled through bites, polishing off his meal in little more than a few bites. His stomach was sated now, full of delicious fish. An unconscious smile spread across his jaws at Song?s words. She was just amazing. And yet I think you are so much better miss Song. he countered.
