his decision had been made and the sire was not a man of regret, thus he quickly prompted himself before Valhalla, a long summons rolling from his thick tones. King for a moment, yet handing it over, he summoned the wolves of Valhalla. Beside him sat Icarus, the man that would ultimately be taking over, and Cairo would be pleased with it. Icarus had been given perfect terms, an Adravendi was to be in power beside him -Epiphron-, Cairo was to remain in control of all family matters, and any kind of extreme punishment had to be highly deserved. There were other tidbits, but they could be explained throughout the meeting.

Silently, the brunette male would wait. If they had the respect for him they had once had, then he expected them to come on swift wings.

OOC: Round ends may 24th. Anyone who does not post will be removed and re-acceptance will be up to Icarus.

She was getting ancy, with the date of the wedding being quite soon. Every morning her stomach quaked, churned and ultimately hurt and she barely kept the bile from rising into her throat. It was horrible, she felt horrible, but there was little that she could to about it but wait it out. It had to be the stress getting to her, right? Yet there was something about it that sent a sharp spark of fear running through her. Weeks ago she had spoken to Erani and for some reason her statement about a young wolf like her getting pregnant stood out from the rest. It... it fit some of her symptoms, she was sick in the morning and her heart wouldn't stop racing in her chest at times and she was just so tired at the end of the day no matter how chipper she was -or wasn't- when the day first started.

Chrysanthe gulped down her fears after hearing her father's call - and started her trek toward the male. It was strange for him to call a meeting after handing the pack to his prodigal son, but... oddly enough, opposed to Collision being seated beside him, it was a stranger. Blue eyes gazed at the man warily - but he was a trusted lupine, being seated next to her father, and so the female nodded to him, a neutral expression on her face. What was he doing here? The inquiry was present in her eyes as she glanced at Cairo, but after a moment of offering a questioning glance her muzzle blossomed into a smile. She didn't have much time left in Valhalla, with her family - and no matter how badly this marriage was affecting the family and how distant she had become with the Adravendi's that she loved so dearly... Cairo had the best in mind, or rather, there was nothing that he could do either after Collision went and married his sister off without anyone's consent.

With a heavy heart, an ever churning stomach and a bitter taste in her mouth she would swallow it all down and accept it for what it was. An improvement for Valhalla, a way to make sure that the wolves and their families here were that much better off.

She sat next to her father, quietly waiting for the meeting to start.

Hopefully questions would be answered and this would be over with quickly. She wasn't feeling very well...

Erani

Erani was edgy. She kept a hawks eye on her pups, especially after Gabriel?s adventure outside Valhalla. She also kept a close eye on Nova, never straying far from him. He?d been absent long enough to make her even edgier. When he finally arrived home, he was injured, but it was healing well enough now.Still, it didn't vanish the worry of losing him.

Her anxiety was broken as she heard a very familiar song. Cairo. He was calling a meeting. Where was Collision? She rose, gesturing with a sweep of her tail to her children to follow. ?Come on. It?s time for your first Pack Meeting, little ones.? Her voice was gentle, soft as a deer steps. She looked over to Nova. ?You should be able to get there, Love. Your shoulder needs the exercise now, more than ever.?

She padded toward the end of the ravine, pausing now and then to be sure that they were following close and keeping up. Thus, her arrival was slower than most meetings. Five rambunctious, excited pups were a pawful at the best of times. Her worries made it even more harrowing, but she never once lost her temper.

At long last, she arrived at the meeting place, giving Cairo a quiet nod of greeting that had all of the old respect, and gave the strange male that sat beside him a curious look, before she smiled gently at Chrysanthe. Then she settled to the task of keeping all five children in the meeting area, while occasionally glancing up to look at Nova, as if afraid he?d vanish, or die on the spot from a sudden infection. Finally, the pups settled, and she curled against her mate, waiting for the meeting to begin.

Surreal

Surreal was just about to pounce on her father when she heard a long, unfamiliar howl ringing through the area. She stopped mid pounce, falling over her own paws and tumbling against his haunches. She sat up, unphased and looked around, ears twitching forward to listen. Then Mother was up on her paws, gesturing for them all to follow. ?What?s a Pack Meeting, Mother?? Da? What?s a Pack meeting??

She scampered alongside her parents, striving to keep up with their longer strides, tail waving happily as she waited for an answer, then forgot what the question had been. She scampered and capered, being herded back into the group by her mother now and then when she strayed too far. Finally, they came to a place already inhabited by three wolves. She gazed at them with fascination, until? ?Chrysi!? She raced forward to greet her older sister, tail slicing the air with delight. Noticing that Chrysi didn?t seem to be feeling well, she snuggled into her, hoping to bring a smile to her face.

The huge brown male was even bigger up close. Almost as big as Da. He looked a little like Chrysi, or Chrysi looked a little like him? The other male was fascinating too. She?d never seen eyes that color before in her short life.

Cormalin

Cormalin was patrolling, long fur fluttering in the late fall breeze as he padded along. He?d just finished his circuit when Cairo?s summoning howl rang through the territory. Cormalin pivoted on his hocks and took off at a lope, tongue lolling lightly in contentment. The nephews and nieces were growing fast, Nova had finally returned. Nothing remotely warlike had happened yet.

He came to the meeting place, giving Cairo a nod of respect and giving the stranger a cursory glance and a nod before he sought out his sister and settled beside her and Nova, helping to settle the rambunctious litter before he sat down. Mismatched gaze swept the gathering pack ma\embers with a keen intensity, before one of the pups snuggled into him and he bent to nuzzle him. Castiel, as it turned out.

She grazed quietly on the sweet grass, even though Fall was beginning to take the taste out of it. This would be her first real winter with the Pack. It would be a test of their true thoughts of her. She wondered who would try to eat her, a member of the pack, just because she was a Horse. She snorted. Cormalin would dissuade them.

A howl rang through the clearing, and her head lifted, mane tossing, to gaze toward it. By now, she knew what the call to a meeting sounded like, and she was already moving at a canter, hooves drumming out the steady rhythm. It didn?t take her long to reach the gathering, the canter breaking to a trot, and then to a walk, before she halted to stand beside Cormalin, Erani, and Nova, as well as her favorite little cubs in the world. Those pups could do anything to her, short of drawing blood, and she?d let them. Part of her knew that she might never find a stallion, and thus would never have a foal. She didn?t mind one bit.

She stood, studying those gathered already, and those arriving. There was the brown male, Cormalin had said was the old Alpha, Cairo. Beside him sat a male she?d not seen before. There was Chrysanthe. She whickered a friendly greeting to the female, watching Surreal clamber up against her. The poor girl looked unhappy, uncomfortable, sad.

The sheer chaos had driven Rosalie here; but that sheer chaos caused her the life that most would be greatful for; and greatful she was. Summond by the The Brunette brute that ruled over the valhallas. It would be a lie to say the woman wasnt nervous at all. Especially as the pulsing hearts hammering away against the domed ribcage. The dark sea blue orbs observed every single member present before giving a respected nod to all. Oh how she could make a mistake at her first ever meeting. Caressing the virgin soil beneath her small foundations the woman strode out of the shadows and into th screeching light. ah, how the feel of the heat compressed against her very own visage felt soothing, though very little formed.
Only two members have formally met Rosalie so being cautious was expected.
The gathering was growing quicker; so the albino silken mistress placed herself nearer the others; why should she be so scared? after all Rosalie is a fighter,a woman of her pride. Shaking the tiny tiara the woman wold gaze back to the brute; awaiting for whats about to come.

Gabriel

The pup stumbled, wiry legs carrying his sprawling form towards Valhalla's center. two toned eyes blinked comically as they followed the sound of the howl, a demand for all to make themselves known. he didn't recognize the sound or the scent and usually he only heard his mom and dad calling with such demanding tones. Ah well... he would show all the same. His wiry form would glide into the meeting, his eyes falling on his mom. Bounding forward, he would seat himself between her front paws, leaving slightly against her right forelimb. He didn't know why he was here, but if so many of Valhalla had arrived, it must have been important.

Evelette's maw would lift, crystalline blues blinking as another meeting was called. She was hesitant about attending the last... had been disastrous and she felt like an intruder. She squirmed uneasily attempting to calm her nerves as she galloped towards the source of the howl. It was her duty and her obligation to attend, but she wanted nothing to do with the Alpha's bloodline. The last had been a bit too personal and she had felt the outcast. Regardless she would slow her gait to a trot and slowly stop before the wolf whom had summoned them, awaiting his words.

The assassin grew tired of these demands, these calls. She was a creature of action, not of speech and she grow bored with all of these happenings. She could care less what the monarch did so long as she was left alone. They didn't bother her and she wouldn't bother them. Regardless she materialized between the trees and stood silently among the masses. Tortuga's scent was all but gone from her flesh, she was, for all intents and purposes... merely one of the masses.

Being a born member and a new warrior to Valhalla, Rum knew that the call of Cairo couldn't go unanswered. He didn't really know what had been going on in Valhalla recently, there were arranged marriages, alliances, new powers. But what was it to Rum? All he had to do was follow orders and not get in trouble. So he didn't really care much for the pack or who was in command. Maybe Valhalla wasn't right for him, maybe he should leave again and go to some place like Tortuga, or maybe Ludicael. But his approach to the old alpha showed almost an interest to at least pretend that he cared. All other thoughts to the side, he would think about it later but for now he was at once again another pack meeting.

Sarak

Sarak wandered through the territory of the Pack that had taught him so much since his capture. They were so? Happy. Free. Strong. Blackmoon Pack was not strong like this. They were only feared because they killed without mercy. He growled softly. When he was young, he had thought they were strong. He had been blinded by the thoughts of glory. He had never known love. It was such a strange thing to see. These wolves loved. Cherished one another. Love was what made a pack strong.

A ringing howl filled the air. It was the voice of Cairo, the male who had given him a chance for change. He had both that male and Erani, the very wolf he was sent to Valhalla to kill. What would he be like now, if he had managed to kill her and gotten away? Cold, heartless. That was what. He would have been awarded a high rank. But from his knew perspective, a rank wasn?t worth an innocent wolf?s life.

He smiled. He was strong now. He had been so weak. Now, he was strong. He turned and bounded through the territory toward the call. He knew what he wanted in life, now. He wanted to stay, be a part of the pack. His lanky legs took him swiftly to the Meeting place, and he arrived, slowing into a walk. He gazed around, mossy green eyes examining the members that had arrived already. If he was accepted to stay, these would be the family he would be helping to protect.

His eyes landed on a female, her face dark brown, almost red, and the most startling blue eyes he?d seen part from Erani?s. She was a beauty, but she looked so sad as she sat there. As though she awaited her death. His ears drooped in sympathy. He spotted Erani and padded over to her, cautious of the two large black males that were with her. She was surrounded by her litter. He gave her a nod, and two wary nods to the males.

He sank onto his haunches and turned his eyes to watch the wolves that sat at the head.

The call of her father, of Cairo Adravendi, was something that Epiphron would never ignore. Despite her rank, despite whatever might happen, her father would always be leagues above her, at least in her own eyes. She refused to delay as the sound of his aging voice reached her perked ears. Swiftly she would answer his call in the form of her arrival, loping towards the gathering, only slightly hurriedly.

Eyes scanned over the wolves as Epiphron arrived, her head held tall above her shoulders. Unwilling to show Valhalla anything less than they wanted to see -- she knew some of them doubted her ability to lead, with her lack of experience, but she would not falter, she would not fail. Quietly she came to sit beside Chrysanthe, though briefly watched Erani struggle to contain her children. The sight never failed to bring a smile to her lips, watching the beautiful children that she had brought into the world.

Attention would turn to Cairo, and the male seated beside him, eagerly awaiting whatever news he had to share with them.

Soleil moved slowly through the land. Veronica Plains, home to Valhalla. In her eyes it was a place that could do no wrong. The wolves were saints and the pack was like heaven. Of course she had been sick for quite a while and now that she was just getting back to herself, she was not thrilled to hear all the fuss.

Collision had demoted her. Soleil had never earned her rank to begin with but for some reason it angered her to know that Epiphron was deemed above her. If anyone had earned the rank that young then it was Chrysanthe. Devoted and already in high standings. That however was not the point. She felt a little cast aside. Forgotten. It was not like she had died. It was not like she could have just waved a paw and gotten well.

She had also noticed how Erani no longer took care of her medical needs, Preston was going on solo missions now-a-days. Erani had been heavily pregnant, she must have whelped though Soleil suspected that was not the only reason Preston was no longer shadowing the talented she-wolf. The male moved with too much...too much something that just made Soleil think he was in charge of the healing department anymore.

Moving into the meeting the female found herself a seat. Near the rear where she felt her current rank demanded she be. She was not a vital part of Valhalla and oddly enough it made her a bit bitter. Any effort she put into being a part of the pack was quickly thwarted by mother nature.

Intense gaze moved around the gathering, landing on wolf after wolf. Some she didn't know at all, but Valhalla was a big place.

The young Adravendi entered the meeting with her head and tail high. It was a cool fall day and the season suited her well. The warm colors of dying leaves made her coat pop beautifully. Creamy white base overlaid only on her face in a rich brown inherited from her mother. Her amber colored eyes where purely her father's doing. With her winter coat coming in, the she-wolf was filling out, looking larger than her usual self.

Not quite a year old she still felt very much like a puppy but to the outside world she was a wolf of nearly her full growth. The plentiful lands of Valhalla allowed her body to grow well.

Eyes landed on Cairo first, at the head of the meeting. Adravendi wolves flocked to the heart of the meeting and perhaps Azalea was meant to be up there with them. She waded at the edges of the meeting though, looking for her personal family. She was not truly an Adravendi, not by blood. She started at the sight of a familiar shape. Her mother. Azalea visited her mother regularly but this was her first time in public in a long time. It appeared whatever had plagued her had finally moved to some other unsuspecting soul or died altogether.

"Mother," was her quaint but distant greeting as she came shoulder to shoulder with the wolf. The only show of affection evident in way she let their shoulders kiss. Soleil would try to lean in but too late, for Az was off again. She moved through the meeting finding those she knew the best and giving them personal greetings. Her eyes found a wolf, elder than her appearing the same age as her aunts and uncle. He did not pay notice to her, his eyes made only for Adravendi's of pure blood.

She was still curious about him, regardless of where his eyes fell. Anyway, she was too young be swayed by lovebugs. To her the dark male with his black and brown mottled coat was a mysterious fellow. A foreigner in a sea of blending faces.

"Hello," she greeted him politely, eyes to the front of the meeting rather than on him. Polite, slightly distant, but very much planning to attack him with questions, she just hoped to persuade him to begin the conversation.

Walk | Talk | Think

Never before had she been prone to bouts of unhappiness, but the lean little grey wolf seemed to find herself caught within the greedy claws of one such episode now. The last time she could recall ever feeling so down had been just after the mass exodus, when finding the Valhallan pack after becoming separated from them seemed to be such a tremendously impossible feat. It had been so bad and so heavy that were it not for Leon and his never ending optimism she was sure to have been set back by the depressing feelings that had weighed on her.

Leon. And that was where part of her foul mood stemmed from. The absence of her dearest and most trusted friend pained her much more than she wished to admit, and try as she might to hide those feelings, masking them behind anger that he should simply disappear without first at least letting her know of a prolonged absence, it did no good when she was alone. Which she had been a lot of lately. Her leg injury was healing slowly and while she waited for it to mend she spent her days hiding out inside the Adravendi wolf's empty den, letting the last of his scent linger while she healed both physically and emotionally. Had he been near, her injury might have been made more tolerable by his company, but without that small spark Ashtoreth felt out of sorts. Edgy. Listless.

The call of the once Valhallan leader Cairo caused her ears to perk from where she rested her head upon the cool stone of the den's interior, her gold and purple colored eyes training themselves outside of the den. That was odd. Would it not have been more appropriate for Collision to call a meeting, considering his position as Alpha? Confused, and more than a little reluctant to move with her leg still on the mend, Ash took a moment before carefully forcing herself up onto her three good paws, still gingerly holding her injured hind leg aloft while allowing her toes to merely rest against the ground. Still sensitive, she was reluctant to place too much weight upon it just yet. She really did need to seek a healer for it.

She blinked and hobbled out of the den into sunlight, the air chill despite the brightness. The weather was starting to make the slow and casual turn into winter, and she could only hope that her leg might heal itself well enough before she and Thane would need to properly tend to the pack's stores of food before the worst of the weather set in. It took her some time and much hopping and limping for her to finally arrive at the gathering. Familiar and unfamiliar faces alike stood or sat, mingling or waiting in silence. Ashtoreth's two-toned eyes scanned over the faces, smiling at those she recognized and taking note of one in particular who still had not shown. Discouraged but unwilling to let it show, the petite female reclined upon her haunches with care and sat awkwardly, attempting to discomfort her leg as little as possible, as she set her gaze forward to Cairo. Beside him sat his family, along with another, one she was not sure to have been knowledgeable of before. Assuming there to be some significance to the male's presence as hinted at by his position beside the blue-eyed ruler, Ash patiently and quietly awaited the outcome of the meeting, still occasionally glancing about at those who would arrive after her.

She followed after her mother diligently - or rather, as diligently as a pup could muster. Of course, she was distracted by the tall wolf figures sitting and standing all over the place. Some were bigger than her momma, but none were as big as her papa. These were the wolves of the pack, of Valhalla, and there were so many! They were all so tall and regal and blinking curiously at the various wolves gathered she puffed out her tiny chest and closed her eyes - only to run nose first into the back of her mother's leg. It was enough to get her to open her eyes and whine, only to giggle and wag her tail and with a shake of her head it was as if it never happened.

Lyric wouldn't wander too far away from her siblings, there were enough of them to keep her entertained... but if any of THEM wandered off, she would probably follow because it wasn't fair for them to get to explore while she was left watching them and being good - even if it was for momma's sake. Watching them, and watching the meeting, she was content to remain in the safety of Erani's paws, sitting with the rest of her siblings - minus Surreal, who seemed to be making her rounds with their better known family.

The howl reached her ears, causing the ivory dame to lift her head from her nap. It was a familiar call, but it wasn't Collision. Pushing herself to her paws she picked an easy lope towards the source of the sound. The last pack meeting had been terrible, ending in nothing but chaos. Steps were fluid but hesitant. What would this meeting bring? The ivory healer slowed as she came to the gathering. Cairo sat before everyone, Epiphron, Chrysanthe and an unknown brute sat beside him. Erani had arrived with ever growing pups that seemed to struggle to sit still. She offered a smile to the ex Healer beside taking a seat near. There were a few other familiar faces, but for now her attention settled on Cairo. Collision was nowhere to be seen, but Soleil was here. She hadn't seen the dame in quite some time. Audits pushed forward, curious as to what was going happen and what had been happening. She had been lying low since the last pack meeting and wasn't really up to date on things. She gave Erani a puzzled look, hoping maybe she knew what was going on.

A call came from Cairo as Fenrir traveled as fast as he could towards the designated spot. He arrived after most others and remained in the pack. It pleased him to see Cairo had taken over, and yet who was that sitting next to him? Slightly confused his face remained passive as he waited for the meeting to begin, wondering why the pack meetings were so close together. What was going on with Valhalla? If other packs began to notice they would be considered weak and could be taken advantage of. It seemed as though Valhalla needed to get itself straightened out. He himself had been sitting idly doing nothing. In his old pack he'd been important, now he did nothing all day unless it was his turn to help hunt or patrol. It was lazy and he abhorred it. Leaving was an option but for now he would wait and see.

His shoulder hurt, but it was healing. Being with his family was a great help too. His children tumbling over him, Erani always nearby to chase his demons away. The solemn howl that cut through the area made a great ear twitch. Erani was moving, shepherding the pups. Then she spoke to him. With a soft huff, he rose to his paws, careful to keep his weight off of his injured shoulder. Slowly, bringing up the rear, he followed his mate and children toward the summons, golden eyes wary.

Last meeting had been an uproar. His mate had been demoted. She seemed to be adjusting, but now and then, he saw how much she missed her rounds. He winced as he let a small amount of weight reach the shoulder, and followed, watching his love?s lovely hind end as she herded a pup back in here, paused to check there. Finally, they reached the meeting, and when she stopped, he slumped to the ground and curled, ears twitching to listen to her as she rounded up the pups, until they settled down and she lay against him.
