Her ventures had taken her further South into Auster, skirting pack borders for the most part, though she wasn't really paying any mind to them much. The rain had picked up again almost as soon as she had woken up, and somehow had gotten all turned around (though let's be honest, she's not the best with directions). She was cold, wet, and was starting to feel very hungry! What was she going to find out here though? She wasn't familiar with prey in Auster. Were they different than Boreas prey? Same? Some sort of wacky mutated things? She had no clue. Regardless, she hardly had time to think about it before the sky flashed a brilliant white, a bolt of lightning striking fairly close to where she had been walking. Caught off guard by it and of course, feeling a sudden surge of panic at how close it had gotten, she started running. She didn't know where she was going, just that she needed to find shelter again.

Unknown to her, the Wraith bolted straight into an already claimed territory, her and her companions scattering to find cover as another bolt of lightning struck a nearby tree, splintering it as it sent shards of wood and debris splattering the skull-wearing she-wolf. She hurried to find shelter beneath one of the massive oaks, shaking what water she could from her pelt and figured she ought to wait for this storm to pass.

As her mate and *ahem* protective detail, Erebos may crash her threads at anytime!

Please note: Medusa is a wildcard! While she is mostly kind, friendly, and eager to help, she can equally be cold, aggressive, and eager to murder you depending on how you treat her! She refers to herself and often, others, in the third person (illeism), and occasionally has tics due to her Tourette's and may giggle and laugh at random, and may twitch here and there. She is a blood & gore type of character, and is not above killing, maiming, or other such violent actions if she's given a reason to do so. It's often in your best interest to not cross her or get on her bad side. Ya never know what she might do c:

She hadn't meant to be out for long. Jiro had left his favorite stuffed animal out in the Oaks earlier that day, and he just wouldn't settle without it. In her desperation, Kiriko had slipped out to grab it. She'd only planned on being gone minutes, but the storm had picked back up out of nowhere. Thunder and lightning... for as much as she swore she wasn't scared of a little rain, it was a lot for her.

The first crack of lightning sends her darting into one of the guard posts hidden among hollowed out trees. The safest place to be in case of emergency. Heart pounding in her chest, she can see... creatures. Creatures, they look too tame. Too well kept. The woman that breaks through into the Oaks behind them-- Kiriko stiffens. Anxiety gripping her system. The call that echoes from deep in her chest is for her husband, sharp, alarmed. Had they come back to finish the job?

It wasn't so much that Hattori had a third sense and automatically knew when his lands were being infringed upon. Though such an ability would have been very useful, he was still only a wolf at the end of the day and though his senses were sharp they were limited. Rather, he had noticed Kiriko coming out this way and had found himself wondering why that was. She was naturally free to come and go as he pleased, the woman was by no means on a short leash or a leash at all for the matter but-

It was quickly, apparently that she wasn't alone. Through the rain he couldn't see much at all, the brief flashes of lightening did little to clear his few as mud squelched under paw. He had lost sight of Kiriko, but his trained gaze narrowed in on movement as the figure rushed to find shelter from the elements. The Oaks was a decent place for it, the trees sturdy and their branches wide, or that would have been the case if Tojo had not claimed it as their own some seasons ago.

He moved again, in no particular rush as he approached the tree the stranger seemed to be huddling beside. It took him a moment for familiarity to tick in his brain- he knew her face but could not recall her name.

"You're trespassing." He pointed out, not particularly pleased by this turn of events but he- in a rare show of giving the woman the benefit of the doubt- assumed it had been accidental. Thus what could be construed as a show of leniency, he hadn't attacked her after all. He wasn't entirely unreasonable these days.

That and he knew Kiriko was out here somewhere, knowing her she'd want to talk things out. She always did.

A sharp and sudden howl rose over the din of the storm had Medusa's head on a swivel. Though it was hard for her to see through the elements, and her eyes in the sky was...somewhere. She wasn't quite sure where her companions had fled to in an effort to escape the lightning that struck too close, but she was sure that if she ended up in some dire situation, they'd find her again. She was not fond of rain. She hated it, in fact. Didn't like that it made her smell like wet dog after. Which was saying something, because she preferred her smell of decay and death. It did well to ward off those who couldn't stomach it.

"You're trespassing." Oopsie! She cocked her head as the stranger approached her, and he didn't seem too happy to see her here. Was she really trespassing? Confusion shadowed her gaze, and it took a few moments to put the puzzle together. Not that there was a puzzle per say, but her mind was still in a heightened state after lightning touched so close. "Oopsie! Medusa was just trying to get away from the lightning, there is too much down here!" Honestly, how did these wolves live in such conditions!? She squinted at the koi marked wolf, a hum on her tongue as she realized she had seen him before, but couldn't remember either. Hm...well that really was too bad. Was he a cool guy? A jerk? Had he been nice? Mean? She had met so many and done so much that she really couldn't remember.
