Gained and lost

“Business was business” he said blandly, and clearly unwilling to give an inch. He wasn't sharing, he wasn't ready to. She would find out when she had passed the tests and proven her strength to lead. “I'll admit, I'm impressed. Wylan must be a good teacher.” He said with reluctance. He would keep all of her attention for himself if he could. But he needed to give her some wiggle room, some advanced. “If you think he's helping, you should continue your defence training with him, too.” His reluctance only grew.


They were well into the Col now. Not far from her den. Their den. He pressed a paw into her back, dragging her towards him. “I hope you caught up on chores while I was gone, Little Bird. You're going to be regretfully busy for the rest of the day…” he threatened. He needed to steal her away. Reward her for her accomplishments and make up for lost time
