Spring time was a busy time for Avalon. Their flocks had fresh springtime babes, the crops were growing, and the lands were growing lush once again after winters cold grip. He had been helping out in the gardens and tending to the flocks before taking a break, making his way to his stall in the barn for a quick drink and snack. He didn't know if Corbie would be there or not, but if she was, he wanted to discuss his ranking in the pack. Since he had joined, he hadn't quite chosen a path, but all things considered, he felt he'd be best suited as a navigator. He knew all the terrain within and beyond Avalon and could traverse it quickly and easily. It had been the most obvious decision long ago, but he had been pretty busy and complacent tending to his precious flocks that he never really got around to actually asking about it. \
As he took a bite of some alfalfa, he listened to the gentle creaking of the barn around him. The structure was old and in need of repair, but so far it managed to withstand the elements and time for all these years. The rafters were pretty rotted, and his monkey companion often went up and did what repairs he could. Or at least reinforced it here and there to avoid collapse. The sun streamed in through the gaps and the windows, making the place look a little less dull and a little less dreary. It was warm though, and cozy, all things considered. The fire that the pack lit for those cold nights certainly helped with that.
