The promise of a good hunt brought her north from auster into boreas, eager to pack a good deer home for her daughters upcoming wedding. She was looking forward to the event actually, eager for her daughter to start her own family. She would still expect a lot from her and Crux, of course, but she would love them regardless of their decision to start a family or wait, though she couldn't hold back the excitement she felt at the possibility of being a grandmother soon. Not to mention, she was looking into having another litter as well, and thought it would be fun to raise children alongside her eldest daughter.

That was a long ways off, however, and today needed to be spent focusing on the hunt. The meat likely wouldn't last until the wedding, but the additional materials from the carcass certainly could. Besides, whatever wasn't used definitely wouldn't go to waste.

However, it would seem that she was not alone in the field today. She laid down nearly flat in the field, watching a herd of deer grazing in a shaded patch, but a rustling some yards out to her left caught her attention abruptly. Expecting to see another deer or another wolf, she was surprised to see a bear strolling about. It didn't seem to see her, so she was thankful for that at least, but if she made one move she was certain the bear would spot her. Given her proximity, she didn't think she could get away without being seen and chased after either, and she felt too close to make a proper get away. So instead, she lowered herself even further to the ground, watching the bear as it strolled on by, seemingly unaware of her presence. Good.
