we can, but probably shouldn't

Damira sighed as she stared out at the landscape before her, just on the very edge of the desert with not much of a mind to venture further. It was unlike anything she had ever seen, just as foreign as it was uninviting; an expanse of nothingness that she had little desire to truly explore. No doubt it was possible, but for a wolf like her? She doubted she had the mettle for it, all soft and dainty, but in the early morning light she saw no harm in just observing. Contemplating what could be out there.
And it was pretty, if nothing else. Damira realised she likely wouldn't appreciate the terrain quite as much during the blazing heat of the afternoon, but the delicate light of dawn made it seem sweet, almost. Pinks and hazy oranges, with a slight chill in the air that was already starting to wane.
She expected the sand to be smooth under paw and wrinkled her nose when she felt the grains catch between her toes, course and rough, already getting everywhere on her coat. And the breeze, the way it rolled over the shifting dunes made her ears twitch forward as her brows furrowed, straining to listen to whispered voices that weren't there.
