He was not used to the customs of this place, but he knew a challenging call when he heard one.

When the quiet male had heard the call, he lifted his head from his plants, dirt covering his muzzle and legs where he had been tending to the garden. He knew that voice, but it took him a few moments to tie it to the woman he had met on the cliff. Humming softly, his ears flickered as he tried to orginize his thoughts on this. Miss Peregrine was challenging someone, but who and to what he was not sure. Finally his curiosity got the best of him, and he started to head in the direction of her voice. He said nothing to Cedar, but it didn't take too long for his companion to realize that he was leaving the area. The ever dutiful jackal walked at his brothers side, not asking where they were going. No matter what, Ollie knew that the canine would follow him. He had been his only constant in his entire life. Glancing over to Cedar, he dipped his head slightly and nodded, thanking him wordlessly for his accompaniment. He could have easily stayed, but it was nearly impossible to get him to leave his flank.

It didn't take too long for them to enter the land that he had heard the howl, nor was it hard to spot the chocolate woman. She was fighting with another, larger male. Blinking slowly, his teal eyes scanned the crowd in search for answers. He couldn't tell, but there was a unified scent lingering across the group of wolves. A pack? Was Peregrine challenging to lead a pack? This was getting more and more interesting. Stepping lightly on the tattered earth, Oleander made his way to the still growing group of wolves. The two canines squeezed past a few bodies, finding a good seat with enough space around him to breath. Ears pinned to his head, he watched the battle with wide eyes. He wasn't fond of the amount of wolves that stood around him, but he wanted to see how this all turned out. He wouldn't call him and Peregrine close, but he did know her, and this whole fight interested him. Plus, it didn't seem like he wasn't welcome at the moment.

Cedar grew nervous at his brothers side, the tension around them was thick. His hackles stood on end, and it didn't take long for him to get really uncomfortable. Unable to sit still, he left Ollie's side and started to pace behind him, low growls leaving his maw. Oleander shot him a look, but he couldn't stop. The atmosphere here was just too much, and he worried that more than just one fight would break out.

My, my. From the various words of those around her it didn't sound like the challengee was held in high favor. The demanding voice of the one who requested that toes be eaten brought a smirk to her lips. Someone else rebuked one of the hecklers and caused Sabine's ears to prick. Oooooo, perhaps another fight was going to break out? Yes please! She didn't know who Nox was but she hoped he or she was quick to jump into a fight. Maybe she could help the odds a little... ”Damn,” she muttered loud enough for those around her – and hopefully that included those snipping at each other – to hear. ”No way in hell I'd let someone talk to me like that...” She also found it rather amusing that the speaker was quick to throw someone else into the fray instead of fighting themselves, but she wasn't all that surprised by it. Cowardice often went hand and hand with mouthiness, especially when the chicken in question had a lackey to fight for them. She would have liked to say something to that effect, but had a feeling that would guarantee the speaker's attention would be drawn away from the one calling for toe removal. While she'd eagerly jump into a fight herself, having a hand in starting a fight between strangers was just too delicious to pass up.

To Ehrgeiz she said, ”I've met the woman before. She's alright.” 'Alright' was about the highest compliment she was willing to give to a stranger. While she had liked the woman and was rooting for her, her support was only a few ticks above neutral. She'd come for a fight; the outcome didn't really interest her. There was nothing at stake for her in this fight and it was as simple as that. She was a passing spectator, there for blood and little else.

Sabine ears flicked as another voice broke in with a description of what was happening. Peregrine appeared comfortable in a fighting stance, eh? That wasn't surprising given the woman's smart mouth. Sooner or later it was bound to get her into fights and by this point Sabine was willing to bet the woman was well practiced. And she was going for the man's eye too? Perry was her kind of woman. ”Vicious indeed,” she murmured appreciatively.

Wait for it

Despite her attempts to keep his head pinned, adrenaline, will power and with the tilt of his head shifted his head enough to keep his ear safe with only slight bruising to his nose. With his ears pinned to the back of his head as far as they could her jaws would saw at the area between his two ears with his head tilted to the right pressed into her neck. His jaws awkward but he still wasn’t stupid enough to just let her have him. With his scruff scrunched up and hackles raised, a lot of skin protected his thick body. He was dealing with an experienced fighter, as such he would pull out all the stops that he had. Her teeth caused a half inch wound behind his head again, about two inches across however in a severe enough would to make it bleed out. Then she started to move and Rivaxorus would make sure to keep toe to toe with the woman.

He felt her slide off of him to his left, in turn he took his left hind leg and stepped it to the right. Right hind leg spreading to counteract that and move him an inch to the right. Her paws would rest on his chest and push off(causing only slight bruising) as she slid down and he would make sure to swing his rump to his own right with the slight step he took previous to make sure that they stayed at least relatively parallel. Much to his dismay his jaws missed their mark causing a growl to rip through. As his tail leveled with his spine again tilting slightly to his right for balance, he spread his toes into the dirt for more traction. She was smaller and faster, but with training he knew if he got at least one hold on her then it could be over.

Now with them almost parallel with her over on his left side, she would make a lung at him. Rivaxorus wouldn’t let her purchase his shoulder. The large male sized himself up unbending his knees as he let his powerful hind legs lunge in turn with her. Twisting his body to his right, lower half first for about an inch - her jaws would make a purchase on his left ribs behind his left front leg. Biting an inch deep and ripping off flesh with a severe and good purchase. That was when his own jaws opened, head tilting to his own right slightly again his upper jaw aimed for her right back leg where her tendon was and his lower jaw around the rest. Lowering his front legs slightly(his joint locking for more control) as he attempted to push his weight to the left onto her head where her teeth were latched onto him and her body.

His jaws would aim to severe her tendon and tug his head to his own right in an attempt to cause as much physical harm or even a maim to the girl. He kept his shoulders rolled inward and his eyes narrowed. His stomach muscles tightened ready to move at any second, and making it far easier to make his body compacted and heavy. With his muzzle pulled back the skin protected his eyes and snout far more than if they had been relaxed. He tried to make sure she didn’t have much room to move in.

What's this? Head lifted from the meal he shared with his younger brother, amber gaze staring towards the battlefield in interest. Someone calling for a challenge? But whatever for? Curiosity was strong, and so the tri-colored male stood and made his way, Obscuro remaining where he was tucked away from any threats. It didn't take him long to arrive, and by the time he did he was met with a swarm of others who sat around watching the goings on. A sneer lifted his lips, whatever this was for must be good for so many to appear.

He'd made it in time to hear someone yell out about toes, another getting all pissed about it, and yet another femme seemingly egging on the tiny thing. Pushing through the crowd, the scents of loner and pack alike reached him, the main one he noticed was the pack he'd recently visited. Amber gaze found the fighters, and he simply could not contain his glee. "About time someone takes that pathetic oaf's crown!" He was nearly ecstatic, now...if only the challenger ripped off his balls or something...

Peregrine was thrilled to taste the male's blood in her mouth. The bite she'd aimed at his ear had fallen off target due to his contortions but it had fallen all the same, causing some slight damage. Her smaller frame did not seem to have much impact at all as she pushed away from him, but she supposed that was to be expected. Her next attack was slightly more effective, and although his quick movements put his shoulder ahead of her bite, she was able to make purchase with his flank, teeth grazing against the ribs directly behind his left front leg. Then, Rivaxorus attempted an attack of his own. It seemed for all the world as if he reached for her hind right leg, but she currently stood on his left flank, teeth dug into his first or second rib. Surely his neck was not so elongated that he could reach her hind limbs at all without pushing forward much further, and then of course her right leg was clear on the other side of her body.

The attack would instead collide with her own left flank, the very flank blocking his path to the desired limb. It would cause only moderate damage, landing primarily atop her seventh rib, exactly halfway between her spine and underbelly due to his crouched positioning. He may have been able to do more damage if he had not tugged his head to the right, away from her flank. This caused additional minor ripping damage and drew a snarl out from between her jaws, though she refused to let go of her prize, opting instead to tighten her jaws further in the attempt to cause additional severe damage within the same wound. As he tore his jaws away from her, she took another opportunity to collect herself.

Her stance remained stable, paws anchored to the ground by her grasping claws and limbs spaced evenly apart to ensure good balance. Her tail aligned with her neck and spine to further that gain. She reminded her joints to loosen, resetting her center of gravity into a lower position. Her ears remained pinned to the top of her head and squinted her eyes until they were no more than slivers. She once again rolled her shoulders so that as much skin as possible was pushed forward to sit between his jaws and her neck. She tightened the muscles of her abdomen, steeling herself against other potential attacks. She tilted her jaws downwards as well as she could while maintaining the bite, her only real fear being the removal of her jugular. She could recover from most anything else, after all. Finally she shifted just enough weight backwards to begin storing it in her hind legs, ready to move yet again at the first indication of opportunity.

She took her chance the moment she felt stable and collected. He seemed to push against her grip causing some discomfort in her nose but no real damage, and it seemed as good a time as any. She at last allowed her jaws to detach from his left flank. The woman would then attempt to quickly dart forward, wanting to move only about two feet in one quick step. This movement would hopefully place them parallel yet facing in opposite directions, yet directly side-by-side. Her target was his own left hind leg, planning to show the big male exactly how it was done. Her fearsome jaws sought to wholly clamp down upon his hind leg, to place the leg as wholly within her mouth as possible and crunch. She aimed specifically for his knee joint with her topmost jaw seeking the outer side of his leg and her lower jaw seeking it's inner counterpart, hoping that she would be able to press down upon it with her molars, the teeth precisely designed for breaking bones in the meals she ate, while her canines and incisors would be able to rip at the muscle which hid behind it, and as a whole allow her to crush the crucial joint into pieces while crippling the male as effectively as possible.

If all went well he would be utterly unable to place weight on the limb. She the lifted her left forepaw, taking a moment to aim before slamming it down, aiming to crush the toes of his hind left leg and break a toe or four. Finally she pitched her shoulder to the left, aiming to slam it into the soft space on his abdomen behind his ribs yet before the connection of his hind leg, approximately two-thirds of the way down from his spine and only six to eight inches in front of his hind left leg. She knew this area to hold many an important organ, and direct trauma to any of them was bound to be unpleasant. She could feel that things were winding down. It would not be long at all before they knew the outcome of all this, and whether or not it had all been for nothing. She strained her senses for any clue as to what the male might do next.

Shit. She was one of the last to arrive. Most days Ricochet stayed close to the battlefield, the bitter smell of dried blood almost appealing to her. After all, if she stayed close enough, she could hear and answer the calls that went up for spars. And the brutish woman loved to jump at any opportunity to get her blood pumping. But today she had been caught off guard, a good couple of miles away from the place she usually gravitated to. So of course today was the day Peregrine decided to challenge for her own pack. Damn her. If she wasn't in too bad of shape, Ricky would be kicking her ass later.

She ran all the way to the battlefield, not wanting to miss such an event. But it wasn't the history she was concerned with, or the pack falling victim to this attempted takeover. She just really wanted to watch her sexy little friend rip someone's ear off. And, alright, she also wanted to be there to aid her if she needed it in any way. When the ebony woman finally arrived on the scene, the fight was half over. Her mismatched eyes were wide with interest as she carefully watched each move, grinning whenever teeth or claws found purchase. Watching a fight was almost as awesome as being in one. She felt the same rush of adrenaline, and found herself wanting to cheer loudly for Peregrine. She winced as the male landed a bite back near her flank, and Peregrine snarled viciously. Man, that was hot. This really was a sight to see.

As the two wolves continued to struggle, though, it was clear that things were nearing an end. Ricky felt her heart pounding, hoping that her friend would be successful in her pursuits. She had yet to see her fail, and knew already that she desired to be with her all the way. If Peregrine would have her, that is.

Ooc:: Icky post is icky.

Kaitlyn moved silently towards the call, though not in any hurry. She didn’t want to see what became of Myriad... If it fell... Then what would she do? The girl was shaking, her fear, her worry gnawing at her heavily. While in some ways she wasn’t too sure about Riv yet in others the girl looked to Myriad as her stability. What would she do if the pack fell? Would she be able to keep her family together? No... She hadn’t been the one keeping her family together at all... And that scared her. Gods above it scared her. She felt so uncertain...

When she arrived that voice began to coo softly in her head again, but Kait was desperately trying to block it out. She slid up next to Zeph, giving a soft whine as she looked up at her sister. Things seemed so tense... Kaitlyn shivered, speaking in a soft voice to Zephyra. “Riv has to win, right?” Hearing the fighting made her feel a mix of emotions. Right now she just didn’t want things to change. They couldn’t change... They just...

Karabela watched the fight intently, taking in the movements of both wolves and she felt her breath catch in her throat.  It was a close match.  Peregrine was fighting fiercely but against a much larger opponent.  She felt curiosity bubbling in her gut.  What were Peregrine's plans should she win?  What would be her plans should she lose?  Karabela could certainly offer some suggestions.  A trading partnership to the first and membership among Ivory Ridge's ranks to the later.

Raba's focus was suddenly broken by a familiar scent and her hackles instantly raised as she turned her head to stare at white and black, now castrated, male.  Ahhhhh yes…. one of Hellstrom's brood.  The one who'd been so viciously violated by Integra Armada.  Had the siege really been that long ago?  Karabela grinned mischievously at the man. "Shame you don't have the balls to do it yourself hm?"  She eyed the man carefully.  While the siege hadn't really been personal for her she still marked Sin's brood her enemies.  She had no intention of dredging up old conflicts but she couldn't resist needling the man.  Maybe it was all the adrenaline, the sweat, the blood, the tension in the air that was stirring up the warrior within her.

Ooohhh she had it! Nixie ignored the fight as it continued, her attention snapping to the blind healer when she told her to shut up and threatened to have her cat eat her face. She was going to just ignore her, before someone else said they wouldn't let someone talk to them like that. She was right! Her momma wouldn't have let someone talk to her like that, and neither would Zephy or Ren! Her fur would puff up, making her look like she'd just come out of the dryer. Ooohhh that dumb blind wolf was gonna get it! Did she want her toes eaten too!? "Are you too scared to eat my face on your own without your stupid cat!?" She'd retort, the teal fluff ball getting up and racing towards Armai.

She'd never fought before...except for mostly play fighting, but she had teeth and she was gonna use them dammit! Armai wasn't that much bigger then her, but if the healer chose to throw her pussy cat in the fray then Nixie would have to eat its toes too! Dual toned eyes flashed with rebellion and anger, the tiny girl attempting to close the gap between them. She was aiming head on to Armai's left side, and Nixie sought to just barrel all of her fifty pounds into the silver fae's side. Should she manage to be successful, then the impact would more then likely bruise both of them.

Much to her natural instinct, Nixie's defenses set themselves. Her ears pinned tightly to her head, eyes narrowing as her face scrunched up with her efforts to further protect her face. Her shoulders had rolled forward, the girl using the points of them to aid in smashing into her opponents left side just on the center of Armai's ribs, as well as using them to help protect the sides of her neck. Her tail tucked beneath her, hackles bristling and teeth bared. Her scruff rolled and bunched forward, adding extra protection to her neck. Her weight was mostly thrown forward, hind legs spread and steadying her, claws biting the dirt and toes spread. Lastly, her head was lowered, chin tucked as she lowered them to better absorb the potential collision.

In her endeavors, jaws snapped open and she tilted her head inward towards Armai's left foreleg, bottom teeth seeking to latch onto the woman's armpit and top teeth seeking to dig into the outside of Armai's left foreleg. While she wasn't thinking about how much damage she could do (if any), she wasn't even really thinking about it as a real fight. She'd never fought before, so she was doing what she normally did with her siblings, except more...aggressive. Finally, her own left foreleg would sweep out in an attempt to hook Armai's left forepaw and drag it towards her, seeking to unbalance the other woman.

ooc: Just to clarify Jackson is on Armai's right, and Xeph on her left. Shadowed gave me permission to powerplay Xeph moving out of the way so Nixie's attack is valid.

Armai was almost content with the fact that the child wasn't going to reply to her comment. Jackson came up on her right and sat agreeing to her earlier comment. She was glad she wasn't the only one who thought that way, but she knew it would put Riv in a difficult spot with Zephyra. More so than usual anyways. She could only hope that, if Riv won this fight, he'd do what needed to be done for the betterment of the pack.

Her ears would flick back to the child as she spit an insult at her. Her nose wrinkled in disgust as she listened to the girl. "I can't see your face, but I'd allow Nox to eat it simply because I'm sure your disgusting and she'd find enjoyment in it. She likes eating the face of children." She spat venomously as she tried to instill some fear into Zeph's sister. She as sure Nox did like a good fight now and again, but mostly she just wanted Nixie to shut up. No one had asked her to even stay in Myriad. If she didn't like Rivaxorus then she should have left a while ago.

---- Fight begins here ----

To her surprise she heard feet thundering towards her and she was on her paws in an instant. Snarling from Nox was the only warning she got that Nixie was actually brazen enough to attack her. An ear flicked towards Xeph as he moved out of the way of the fight which was an automatic cue for her that Nixie was coming to her left side.

Ears would automatically flatten to get them out of the way and the skin on her face wrinkled to bunch around her narrowed eyes as an extra layer of protection. Her stance widened to even the balance on all four legs and her toes splayed and claws dug in to the dirt for traction. Her head would automatically lower as she remembered Xephyris' advice from the fight training and her chin tucked inwards in case Nixie went for her throat. Tail flagged out parallel to the ground for balance. She rolled her shoulders and let the skin bunch up around her neck for the extra padding where she needed it. She bent her legs slightly and tensed her muscles just enough so that she could either tighten them more to take the brunt of an attack or dodge if she needed to. Her lowered stance also meant that her stomach was protected just in case Nixie happened to be smaller than her. Lastly the fur along her spine rose and she bared her teeth in preparation for the oncoming fight. She wasn't a fighter but she'd be damned if she let a brat get the best of her.

Nixie crashed into her right at the center of her ribs on her left side and she felt Nixie's shoulders dig in painfully. Automatically she knew that it would probably be moderately bruised after the fight, but at the moment she didn't care. For now Armai's right legs would tense and claws dug into the dirt as they strained to keep her upright as the smaller wolf bowled into her. Her tail would sway to the left to make up for the weight shift before she tucked it down once she felt like she wasn't going to topple over.

As Nixie moved to bite the outside of her left front leg, Armai's own head would move to intercept her. She couldn't see what Nixie was doing, but she could hear and smell the girl. Her top teeth aimed right for the right side of Nixie's muzzle near the center while her bottom jaws sought to intertwine with Nixie's so that her bottom teeth would be biting into the roof of Nixie's mouth. She felt Nixie's left front paw wrap around her own left paw around the ankle so Armai raised it, upwards and out to the front a little, as she hoped that it would dislodge Nixie's foot from her own. Her weight shifted so that her other three legs took the brunt of her weight before she tried leaning all of her weight to the left, her tail flagging to the right as she did so. She was doing her best to ram all of her weight to the left so she could shove Nixie off balance while she moved to shove her shoulder into the left side of Nixie's neck where the shoulder and the flesh of the neck met in attempt to bruise her.

She watched intently the goings on around her, the woman returning a greeting to Zephyra as the large girl sat next to her. She wouldn't speak yet, but no doubt they were both thinking similar things. Her nephew had approached Peregrine with nothing but a good luck...and honestly, she knew that if it were her pack at risk, she wouldn't have been so kind. Was this overconfidence? Or was it him trying to hide his lack thereof? Was that maybe why half of his pack didn't respect him? Her gaze shifted to the insults between two of his members before they erupted into a fight of their own. And really, she was glad that her own pack hadn't erupted into that kind of chaos and discord.

She glanced at Zephyra then, wondering what the girl thought about it all. Would she try to stop the fight with her sibling? Or let it sort itself out? She knee that disagreements happened, but whatever the reason, it would sort itself out. "Zephyra, should Rivaxorus lose. You're welcome to come to Ivalice until you get back on your feet." She said it in a low tone, her gaze returning to the fight. So far, it wasn't going too well...and she could see that. "Even as his aunt, I'm afraid I have to admit he was too inexperienced for this...even now, his fighting ability is...well..." It was obvious, wasn't it? She didn't want to say more for now. But she wondered what might have happened if Zephyra had taken his place. Avalon felt she was more ambitious, determined. Would that have changed anything?

Xephyris nodded in agreement with Armai, just as Jackson offered his opinion as well - those siblings were nothing but deadbeats in Myriad, and it was becoming more and more clear that they were completely disloyal, too. His eyes snapped back to the fight at hand, watching as the two wolves scrapped viciously for the upper hand. His claws kneaded the ground - he should have spent more time training with Riv. The Alpha's opponent didn't seem like much of a fighter and she wasn't much in size comparison with the male, but she was fighting pretty ferociously. Do your best, fight hard, Riv, he urged the young man in his mind. For a moment he was distracted, silver eyes glaring around - so many wolves had come, swarming the battlefield, and amongst them he noticed Karabela. He wasn't sure how he felt about seeing her here, but with tension thick in the air, his hackles prickled at the sight of her. He held a lot of grudges, but as of late, some things were beginning to fade to the back of his mind. She wasn't exactly his concern right now, so he looked away, his eyes sifting over the rest of the wolves.

His wandering eyes caught sight of Enigma, fixing hatefully on the brute. What was that bastard doing here? Did he have something to do with this? But as the brute spoke, it seemed he was delightfully surprised about the challenge, implying that he'd had no prior knowledge about it. Xeph's lips curled back, but his head whipped to look at Karabela as she yelled at Enigma. Oh, now this was amusing. There was a time when he would have been there to back up the man, and throw insults right back at Raba. But things were different now. He may have fought against the woman in the siege, but her hatred toward Enigma suddenly made him feel less animosity toward her. In fact, he couldn't help but to laugh out loud at her comment to the maimed man. Oh, how he wished he could have gotten in on that, but his attention snapped back to his pack mates.

Nixie was shouting back at Armai, and egged on by the comments of a bystander, she was now charging toward the blind healer. She was going to assault Myriad's healer? Did this selfish brat know the meaning of respect? Xephyris got to his paws, moving just slightly as the brat came bolting past him to throw herself at Armai. Bristling, muzzle wrinkled in fury, he watched as a fight broke out between the spoiled runt and the blind woman. His muscles tensed as he readied himself to rip Nixie off of Armai, but he realized he might not have to. No, he wasn't going to take that dignity away from the feisty healer. "Flatten her, Armai!" he rumbled, standing on edge in case he was needed - there was no way he was going to let this disrespectful brat hurt their healer, "About time someone teaches her a lesson!" And if Armai couldn't get the point across, he was going to make sure that Nixie learned a painful lesson from this. She didn't seem to have any idea of the gravity of her rebellious words and actions - she wasn't a pup, and he wasn't going to treat her like one if she wanted to act tough.

Everybody wants
what they just can't hold
She didn't feel comfortable here anymore. A strange mass of emotions boiled in her throat, making her stomach twist and churn. Too many unfamiliar canines, and she got the notion they were all the female challenger's loyal supporters. The fight continued, perhaps not in the way she had always imagined challenges. Where was the fanfare? The cheers from the crowd? Myriad's support? That was when the young queen realised, her hope flattening like a stone.

Myriad had fallen before the fight began.

For a while, the alphess of Ivalice said nothing. Though when she did finally speak, she only expressed the open invitation of Ivalice if Myriad was to fall. At least she had somewhere to go when her life crumbled around her again. No big deal - it always happened. She started a new life, thinking it was perfect, shit happened, repeat. It seemed even the older woman had lost some of her faith in her nephew. A mere nod was all the ebony female gave. Perhaps it had all been too good to be true. A pack of her own, the position of Queen, a lover - everything a girl ever wanted. Not that it lasted very long. "Thank you," was all she murmured.

Kait crawled up beside her, letting out a quiet whine. Surprisingly, she wanted Riv to win. She wanted Myriad to stay, to flourish. Pity almost filled her scarlet gaze. Her sister had a chance in Myriad, to be healed, to get better. What would happen now? Before she could answer, her eyes flickered to her cyan sister, who had launched herself at Armai, perhaps over the all 'eating toes' dispute. Anger bubbled to the surface of her cloud of emotions, followed by humiliation. Was this her family? Was this how they acted, no respect, no maturity?

Maybe, if she wished hard enough, she could just disappear.

Soleil sat away from the group as all hell broke loose. She hadn't arrived in time to see the beginning of the challenge fight but she had arrived just in time to see Nixie attack Armai. The woman couldn't understand them but she knew that something like this was bound to come with the way the last meeting had gone. Tempers had flared and feelings were hurt. Disrespect was evident within Myraid's boarders and Rivaxourus had few wolves who showed loyalty. She could make out that much even if she hadn't known a single wolf here.

Xeph and Armai were clearly fed up with Nixie's crap, Zephyra and Kaitlyn where noticeably upset and the majority of the gathering wolves seemed to be enjoying the fact that Riv had been challenged. The tri colored woman was quite frankly fed up with all of the nonsense. She had picked up a few words here and there, though not enough to hold a conversation of any kind, but not knowing what they were saying made almost everything nonsense to her anymore. She loved Xephyris and would do anything to be with him...so far she had become part of a pack and postponed finding her siblings for him.

This was it though. If Rivaxorus lost Myraid to this woman then she would tell Xeph she had to find her sister...as well as she could anyway. If he won she would still tell him only she wouldn't be leaving Myraid to do so. If anyone could help her it had to be her. No one here had helped her so far and her last resort was to learn from her sister. For now though she would sit away from the others and watch for the outcome.

Wait for it

The male was sick and tired of being treated like a boy. Constantly over and over, and this woman was the same age as him. He’d show her something, something of his efforts. Even if he lost, there would be all of his being put into this. The pain was only a reminder of himself. Myriad would rise from the ashes, if not now it would later on. As Adrenaline pumped through the young male’s body - the pounding of blood in his ears would only drag him further along.

His ears pinned to the back of his head, eyes narrowed into slits. His muzzle pulled back into a snarl to scrunch up his face, the muscles protecting the bridge of his nose from major damage. Toes spread into the terrain, to his displeasure his bite would hit onto her ribs. The pull back making it harder to cause desired damage. However with his cocked tail keeping him balanced, and abdomen muscles tightened he was ready to spring at any moment with her speed. As her jaws sank further into his side he felt the wound open more. A severe inch of a wound there, bleeding out as the adrenaline would numb the pain. As soon as she let go, Rivaxorus would pivet his back legs with all his weight towards his right. The right back leg first would hop as far as he could to the right by two feet, left back leg following in tow as he used his tail (by shifting it to curl to the right)to keep balance from the sudden and abrupt shift. His intention to put them at an acute angle to keep her away from his back legs tendons.

The male felt her jaws snap shut on the area just between his rump and his tail. The flesh tearing open from such a meaty part that sat right on his rear end. An inch would opened up as he would bend his knee’s at the joint as a reaction to the severe wound - though he would save his tendon. His left back leg would raise only to be grazed by the females left front paw trying to smash his toes. Met with mere bruising as he shifted his weight to his right and kicked his left back paw straight down to try and get straight back at her on her toes of her left front paw. Her shoulder would try to dig into his side, with his bent knee’s her shoulder would collide with the upper part of his left side. Right in the middle of his ribs. Causing uncomfortable bruising as the male snorted from the moderate pain and bruising that would sprout.

He then would put all of his energy in attempting to push himself forward. Shifting his weight forward, his jaws opened and aimed for the base of her tail. Right where the last ligament connected to her rump. His upper jaw aimed for the right side of her tail while the lower to the left side. Attempting to clamp shut he had every intention to try and severe that appendage. As he jutted his left shoulder out and aimed it towards her left side as she had done to him. He placed all of his weight into an attempt to fruitfully topple her over from jutting his left shoulder out into her right middle ribs and biting onto the base of her tail. His hackles still raised and his scruff pulled forward. His shoulders rolled inward to become more impact. His eyes but mere slits on his enemy.

It seemed Karabela wasn't the only one feeding of the energy and tension of the challenge as two women started battling nearby. She caught someone laughing at her comment to the man Integra had castrated and low and behold as she turned her head she noticed the man she and Mercy had battled. Oddly enough she didn't hold near as much animosity for the man as she had for Sin and his spawn. Xephyris had fought bravely and well against two powerful fighters. Grinning she winked at him. "Well, well, all the figures from my past are coming back to meet me. You and I should have a rematch sometime without interference. One on one." Enigma was not entirely forgotten, she kept an ear turned in his direction should he decide to confront her but for now her attention had shifted to Xephyris for a moment before she'd turn back to the main battle. They'd been going at it for awhile, soon exhaustion would start taking its toll.

Ehrgeiz flicked his ears as Sabine mentioned to him that she'd met the woman before. That she was 'alright'. Was that his cue to shut his mouth? Deciding either way that he'd better keep quiet, he glanced around himself, actually somewhat amused by the bickering and chaos going on. Normally he was rather indifferent, but he hadn't seen this level of insanity since... well maybe never. Considering the shared pack scents among many of the wolves gathered to watch the challenge, the discord breaking out around them was unexpected. But satisfying nonetheless. He couldn't help the slight chuckle that rose in his throat as his master made a dramatic comment in the direction of two loudly arguing females, and only moments later, a fight broke out between them. Had she really just caused that?

The slave's attention was drawn from the amusement of that fight, to the approach of a young stranger. Curled on the ground near Sabine's paws, his body stiffened as he watched the blue-coated male parked himself nearby, eager to explain the fight to his master. A low, rumbling growl sounded from deep within his chest, feeling uncomfortable with the stranger coming so close. He narrowed his eye as he listened to the young man describe the fight in much greater detail than he had, his master responding appreciatively. Ehrgeiz felt a strong twinge of jealousy, snorting as his tail thumped the ground - where this was coming from, he wasn't sure. But all he could do was furrow his brows and look back to the fight, that seemed to now be winding down - both competitors had fought pretty ferociously, and there was blood splattered on the ground. Who would be the first to surrender?

And the winner is...

ARMAI! Due to Nixie not posting in the allotted time the fight has been defaulted in Armai's favor. Nixie must now give up by either submitting, fleeing or passing out.

PEREGRINE vs RIVAXORUS II for MYRAID

ROUND ONE

PEREGRINE

CLARITY
- “...his own lower jaw. If she were able to complete her bite and clamp her jaws shut…” No points taken off here, this is just a note while it’s on my mind. Just be careful of your use “if this than this” as it makes it sound like a conditional movement; something that will happen if the first movement was successful. A better way to word it would be “With her bite she hoped to cut through his skin, hoping to blind the man in the process with his own blood.”
Total: 10

POWERPLAY
- “She reared upwards only a breath before they might have collided, twelve inches remaining between her front paws and his…” You are assuming that his position has not changed, so the stopping right before him needs to be attempted. It’s right on the fence since you said before they might have collided, making it a minor pp. -1
Total: 9

DEFENSES
Hackles raised, shoulders rolled, chin tucked, eyes narrowed, ears pinned, legs spread, claws dug in, legs bent, tail aligned with spine. (Core muscles I do not count as a defense) -1 for not adjusting balance while rearing.
Total: 8

ATTACK
+ 2 leg wrap (+1 for each limb)
+ 4 bite to the left side of the face + grip attempt
Total: 6

INJURIES
- First round
Total: 10

Total for Round One: 43/50

RIVAXORUS II

CLARITY
- “Energy in his back legs springing him forward actually hoping to duck near her chest in his crouched motion - maybe even collide with her chest even if it would cause his own head some pain.” In a fight, you need to be clear on your plan of attack. Saying ‘maybe he could do that’ is not really an attack at all, you are leaving it fully up to your opponent to pick if it hits or nor without really having to describe a dodge. Your attacks need to be clear and precise, while still attempting them. Maybe is not an attempt. -2
- “Her paws would grapple a hold just beyond his shoulders, his head stuck slightly underneath her(approximately his eyes meeting up with her neck)...” This is not really too clear, using the eyes as a place of measurement isn’t the best. Is he looking straight ahead, up or down? And where on her neck? Left side, right, right under? -2
- “Keeping all four paws on the ground, his toes spread and his hackles still raised.” When did he stop rearing? You didn’t attempt to lower his body at all, except for tightening his core muscles. -2
- “...as he tried to thrust forward on them to send her back or topple her over.” What is he trying to push her over with? Are you hoping to push into the bite? Because that would be a conditional. Or is there some part of them touching? You never mentioned once if he was up against her chest. -2
Total: 2

POWERPLAY
- “Energy in his back legs springing him forward actually hoping to duck near her chest in his crouched motion - maybe even collide with her chest even if it would cause his own head some pain.” You need to attempt to rear, as your position has a direct effect against your opponent. -2
- There is a lot of movement in this post. He rears up, and then ducks near her chest, reach up to bite and push down, as well as ending up on all fours somehow. -2
Total: 6

DEFENSES
Legs spread, legs bent, chin tucked, tail aligned with spine, ears pinned, hackles raised, shoulders rolled, eyes narrowed. -1 for not adjusting balance while reared, tightening your core muscles is not enough to keep you centered, you must state somewhere that the weight is being shifted to his back legs.
Total: 7

ATTACK
+ 3 bite to throat
+ 0 for shove (Not sure what you are shoving with)
+ 0 for a possible head slam (Must be more clear on if it is an attack or not)
Total: 3

INJURIES
- First round
- (Moderate punctures to left underside of jaw and behind left ear)
Total: 10

Total for Round One: 28/50

ROUND TWO

PEREGRINE

CLARITY
- “Her jaws would lunge forward yet again, this time attempting to latch clamp down upon his ear, to twist and pull while she tightened the grip of her forearms, hoping to pin his head to her chest for a brief moment seeing as he had so generously placed it there, so that he could not bite anything else.” What ear is she trying to bite down on? -2
- “...his collision with her clavicle was somewhat mitigated.” Wolves don’t have clavicles. -2
-”...attempting to slide her forelimbs down and around his neck while maintaining contact so that she could shove off from Rivaxorus' chest…” What exactly is she trying to shove off his chest with? Her paws, her own chest? -2
- “She would twist her head to the left and aim a bite at his left flank, her top jaw hoping to find purchase in the muscle of his shoulder while her bottom jaws would hopefully catch in the space beneath his armpit…” This is your second attempted bite, you can only use a body part once per round and give your opponent more time to react. Also flank is the wrong word here, the flank refers to the sides of the wolf along the ribcage. -2
Total: 2

POWERPLAY
- “Her jaws would lunge forward yet again, this time attempting to latch clamp down upon his ear, to twist and pull while she tightened the grip of her forearms, hoping to pin his head to her chest for a brief moment seeing as he had so generously placed it there, so that he could not bite anything else.” You must attempt to tighten the grip on her arms, seeing as Riv could attempt to lunge forward to shake her grip or something else in the matter. Also, you must attempt to bite and hold before you can twist and pull, stating that you hope to do so is a conditional attack. -4
- There is a lot of movement quickly in this post. She tightens her grip and bites, and then let’s go, slides her paws down, and then pushes off of Riv. -2
Total: 4

DEFENSES
Legs spread, legs bent, claws in ground, ears pinned, eyes narrowed, head aligned with spine, tail aligned with spine, hackles raised, shoulders rolled.
Total: 9

ATTACK
+ 2 bite to ear (-1 for placement and conditional)
+ 1 arm wrap (-1 for too much movement)
+ 0 bite to left shoulder (minus points for too many attacks)
Total: 3

INJURIES
- 1 for mild bruising to chest
Total: 9

Total for Round Two: 27/50

RIVAXORUS II

CLARITY
- “Despite her attempts to keep his head pinned, adrenaline, will power and with the tilt of his head shifted his head enough to keep his ear safe with only slight bruising to his nose. With his ears pinned to the back of his head as far as they could her jaws would saw at the area between his two ears with his head tilted to the right pressed into her neck.” How is he tilting his head to avoid the attack? What did he bruise his nose on? How much damage did he take from her sawing the space between his ears? -4
- “Her teeth caused a half inch wound behind his head again, about two inches across however in a severe enough would to make it bleed out.” You said that she sawed between his ears, but then she bit down again behind his head? Also how severe is severe enough to bleed? You have to state more information on the damage, as half an inch can be severe on some parts of the body and mild on others. -2
- “...his upper jaw aimed for her right back leg where her tendon was and his lower jaw around the rest.” There are tendons all through the leg, what part is he on? Front, back, upper, lower? By the ankle, or the thigh? -2
- “Twisting his body to his right, lower half first for about an inch - “ I am not sure what you mean here. His lower half of what? An inch of what? Off the ground, moving? -2
Total: 0

POWERPLAY
- “His jaws would aim to severe her tendon and tug his head to his own right in an attempt to cause as much physical harm or even a maim to the girl.” This is a conditional. You must attempt the bite and the hold first before you can try to shake your head, or rip off like this. -2
Total: 8

DEFENSES
Hackles raised, legs spread, tail aligned with spine, toes spread, legs bent, shoulders rolled, lips snarling.
Total: 7

ATTACK
+ 3 for bite to leg +1 for maim attempt, -1 for clarity issues
+ 1 shove into mouth
Total: 4

INJURIES
- 1 mild bruise to nose
- 3 moderate lacerations to middle of head
- 4 severe lacerations to the back of head
- 4 severe wound to left side ribcage
Total: 0

Total for Round Two: 19/50

ROUND THREE

PEREGRINE

CLARITY
- All clear!
Total: 10

POWERPLAY
- Again, you attempted to worsen the bite and then let go and tried for another bite. You have to give your opponent more time to react to the first movement. Rule of thumb is use a specific body part once per round. -2
Total: 8

DEFENSES
Claws in ground, legs spread, tail aligned with spine, head aligned with spine, legs bent, ears pinned, eyes narrowed, shoulders rolled, chin tucked, weight evenly spread.
Total: 10

ATTACK
+ 4 bite to left flank +1 worsening damage
+ 1 bite to left leg minus points for too many attacks (but still one because it’s a worsening damage bite, not two separate bites per say)
+ 1 paw slam + 1 maim attempt
+ 1 shoulder slam
Total: 7

INJURIES
- 3 moderate puncture to left flank
- 2 minor skin tear on left flank

Total: 5

Total for Round Three: 40/50

RIVAXORUS II

CLARITY
- “The male felt her jaws snap shut on the area just between his rump and his tail.” This is still a pretty wide area, is it lower down his leg, right beside the tail? Also Pere is a lot shorter than him, it would be quite a reach for her to get to the base of his tail. -2
-  “Met with mere bruising…” Where did he get bruised? From what? -2
- “...her shoulder would collide with the upper part of his left side. Right in the middle of his ribs.” That is a pretty large area. In the middle of his ribs length wise, or vertically? Closer to his rump, or head? -2
- “He placed all of his weight into an attempt to fruitfully topple her over from jutting his left shoulder out into her right middle ribs and biting onto the base of her tail.” That’s a little unrealistic, to topple her over by a close range shoulder slam. -1
Total: 3

POWERPLAY
- There is a lot of movement here, from his shifting sideways, the paw slam, and then racing forward for the bite, and then the shoulder slam. -2
Total: 8

DEFENSES
Ears pinned, eyes narrowed, toes spread, legs bent, weight balanced, hackles raised, shoulders rolled, eyes narrowed.
Total: 8

ATTACK
+ 1 paw slam
+ 4 bite to tail + maim attempt
+ 1 shoulder slam
Total: 6

INJURIES
- 4 severe punctures to left flank
- 4 severe wound to left rump
- 2 moderate bruise to left flank
Total: 0

Total for Round Three: 25/50

Totals:

PEREGRINE
43/50 + 27/50 + 40/50 = 110/150

RIVAXORUS
28/50 + 19/50 + 25/50 = 72/150

And the winner is...

PEREGRINE
Riv must give up by submitting, fleeing or passing out, and Myraid now belongs to Peregrine.

Damage:

PEREGRINE
- mild bruise to chest will take 3 ooc days to heal
- Moderate punctures to left side will take 2 OOC weeks to heal
- Minor skin tear on left side will take 1 OOC week to heal

RIVAXORUS
- Moderate puncture wound behind his left ear will take 2 OOC weeks to heal.
- Mild bruise to nose will take 3 OOC days to heal
- Moderate lacerations to middle of the head will take 2 OOC weeks to heal.
- Severe lacerations to back of head will take 3 OOC weeks to heal, might scar.
- Severe wounds to left side of ribs will take 3 OOC weeks to heal, most likely to scar.

Notes:

Tips for writing and some suggestions. (no points are deducted here):

Fox
What really got you here was multiple attacks from the same appendage, as well as missing a few defenses. Other than that, you picked it up well in the last round, which is impressive! That is usually where the most mistakes occur. Good fight, and look above for more notes. I am always on skype if you have any questions!

Riv
First and foremost, I just want to say how proud I am of you, because I have seen some improvement here. There are still some things to work on, bu there were far less mistakes than there usually are. Great job! Just gotta make sure you are fitting those ten defenses, and throwing in some more varied attacks. Make sure that you are marking that damage, you only missed a few points here! You really did a great job, and I hope to see you improve more and more. If you have any questions, let me know. There are more notes above. ^^

She had succeeded in ramming into her opponent, though through their tussle, Nixie had caught sight of the main fight and she would quickly pull away from Armai. The other seemed to be done, the battle over and decided. In the silence that followed, she'd forgotten completely about Armai and stood next to the healer, not a word said. Yes, she had been mad at Riv for all the things she felt he was doing to her family, but that didn't mean she wanted him to lose. Him losing meant that she wouldn't have a home, right? Then where would she go? She briefly looked at the wolves next to her, even the one she had attacked as she realized what this meant. Zephy would be mad at her, and at the fact they were homeless now. Still, she said nothing and made no sound. Only waited.
