Emersyn relaxed against him, there was less and less tension in her body the longer he held her. Indigo had near infinite patience, if she needed him to he’d have held her like that for the rest of the night as she grew accustomed to his touch and convinced her subconscious he wasn’t going to harm her. A single word and he would be out of sight and away from her. That wasn’t what she wanted though. The way she exhaled was one of the last indicators of her resistance but the sound of it drew deeper emotions from Indigo as well. To his chagrin Indigo was better at holding himself back these days, he’d practiced enough self discipline to keep the feelings from showing through.
She took a moment to anwer, but even through the wait she didn’t pull away like she was going to deny him. The opposite. Emersyn drew closer as she nuzzled underneath his jaw pressing against his throat as she did more than just humor him. She wanted him to stay here with her. Indigo felt a grin spread over his features, so much different from the feelings and emotions that overwhelmed him only moments before. It was therapeutic being able to tell her everything and feeling her acceptance despite it all. She held tight to him, and maybe he’d also receive her affection. Something he hadn’t expected, not with everything she had been through. She trusted him though, that was paramount in a relationship. If they could trust each other there wasn’t anything they couldn’t weather. He hid nothing from her now.
Even the darkness couldn’t hide the look in her eye as she pulled back and gazed up at him. Indigo could see emotions that were brand new to the woman beside him. Then she pulled away, but he would let her leave willingly as she led him to the bed that took up much of the room’s space. He watched the curve of her body as she scaled the bed and invited him almost sheepishly. Indigo was a step behind her as she invited him wordlessly beside her. Indigo lifted his mass to the soft bed, sinking into it and unintentionally bringing Emersyn closer as he sunk into its fluff. He aimed to wrap his arms around her shoulders again and bring her closer to his chest this time. She was warm and inviting and perfect against him as he felt the sleepiness drag at his tired eyes.
”I’m glad you’re here.” He told her softly as he nuzzled gently into her neck as he surrounded her there on the massive bed. She was a perfect pillow, and he knew he was going to sleep better with her in his arms than guarding the doorway.

Feeling Indigo's weight settling into the bed was one of the most comforting sensations Emersyn had ever felt. Her body buzzed with that nervous alert when his large, muscled, masculine form threatened to swallow her up, but it faded into white noise the moment his arm hooked around her back and he brought her into a safe embrace. His body was warm, strong, his fur thick yet soft. An idle paw began to roam up his side to rest on his broad chest, feeling every cord on muscle beneath her digits. A shaky sigh left her while more unfamiliar feelings swarmed her head and her heart, warming her from the inside out. Em easily settled in against him, nosing her snout through his fur and drinking in his scent. Indigo felt like home to her; wherever he was, she felt like she belonged—like she was loved.
Indigo's quiet words brought a slight mist to her eyes, A smile crept over Em's face in the dark while she blinked back the crystalline emotions welling up in her eyes. "Me too," she whispered quietly, her paw gripping at his fur in the dark. He was her island in an empty sea, her foundation to rebuild her life on. Indigo was the physical embodiment of the love that she had never received. Not from her parents, not from her owner, not from her fellow slaves. Just him. Craning her neck back just a bit to peer up at him, seeing his silhouette in the dark, Em had never felt more intimately connected to a wolf before. Maybe it was her soul yearning for that love she'd never had, or maybe it was something else. All she knew was something compelled her to lift her muzzle up and place a slow, soft lick underneath his chin, then another on the end of his muzzle. It was a gentle, wordless request. Aqua and cobalt eyes burned while they met his, begging him for some more of that love she was starved for.
Love me, Indigo. The words were never spoken out loud, but her eyes screamed it for him. It was all she could hope for that he would understand and she wouldn't have to push herself to say it—not yet, at least.

She didn’t hold onto the tension that had once held tightly to her, she allowed Indigo close to her. Even more she relaxed against him, nuzzling into his fur and pulling her paws through his mane. She was tucked easily against him, and their bodies fit together perfectly sunk into the plush furs and cushions beneath. The light was dim but Indigo’s soft grin was unmistakable as he held her close, feeling a sense of accomplishment as she welcomed him here beside her. Indigo held her like a priceless treasure, in a way she was. She'd been forced to endure so much pressure and strain that life had turned her into an incredible gemstone. A diamond in the rough that could be found with patience and effort. Both of which he believed she deserved.
Her voice was soft as she answered him and Indigo didn’t miss the way her eyes took on a deeper shine, the hint of how deep the emotion behind her eyes really was. Every touch seemed to echo the feeling below the surface and Indigo felt his stomach clench with the desire that built there. He felt the lingering effects of his desperate need for Aslatiel and the deep dark hole that emptied his chest. Emersyn’s every touch and sigh helped to pull him up from the drowning darkness. He gently caressed the back of her head as she looked up to him with her brilliant dual toned eyes. He met her gaze with his own sapphire eyes and he felt a connection that went more than skin deep. The feeling of two souls connected in their sorrow and loss.
Indigo thought he melted when he felt her tongue across his chin, a deep rumble built in his chest as she repeated the action but this time Indigo held her there as he returned her affection with a sweet and careful kiss. Her lips were like candy on his tongue, creating a craving that wasn’t so easily satiated. ”Em,” he breathed against her lips as he pulled her closer, shifting his body against hers as his heartbeat raced in his chest. He didn’t want to push her, but electricity raced over his skin wherever they touched. He indulged in the warm scent of her, and craved the feeling of her.
He didn’t forget the way she trembled though, nor could he ignore the trauma she suffered through, he would be remiss if he wasn’t careful as he held her and pressed forward in his deep affections. He touched a paw to her cheek as he sought her gaze again and leaned forward into another kiss, this one deeper and much more purposeful in his intentions. If she resisted he would stop, he'd found his limit. If she was receptive that was all the urging he needed to fully wrap himself around her to show her how loved she would be in his care.

Despite how delicately and carefully he continued to hold her and handle her, Emersyn could feel the tension building inside his powerful body. She could feel his muscles tense with his desire beneath her exploratory paws and see the wanton fire growing in those cool blue eyes. He surprised her when he caught her lips in a sweet, tender kiss, making the fae utter a quiet squeak of surprise. Her body went rigid—and then melted against his all at once. The taste of his mouth on hers sent her heart into a dizzying arrhythmia as her pulse reached peaks it hadn't before. Panic tried to rear its ugly head again, but she crushed it back down with the aid of Indigo. "Indy," she whispered back against his mouth, loving the way her name sounded in his voice, the name she had given too I'm out of trust rather than her pit fighter alias. She had trusted him with her most intimate parts of her life without any consequences, and now she was going to trust him even further.
Every inch of their bodies pressed together, her paws pulling at his mane as if she couldn't be close enough to him. Her tail beat nervously against the bed, little quivers of desire and panic making her squirm against him. She wanted this and she wanted him, all while she simultaneously rejected it. Desire for him and revulsion at herself waged emotional war in her heart. Segin had helped unlock a new side of her, but Indigo was going to be the one to bring the new her to full strength. His paw found her cheek, two sets of eyes meeting in the dark again. In hers lived a heated need and a cold fear, but his held nothing but softness and affection and love. Love—real, pure love. She remembered what he had said about Aslatiel, how she would always be his true love. For a brief moment, Em envied the woman. She had better know how good she had it. But for tonight, even if just for one night, she could dare to feel the same way. Aslatiel would have him forever, but Emersyn would get what she needed tonight.
Emersyn squeezed her eyes shut, letting darkness take her while he brought his lips to hers again, letting the rush of heat burn away all the fear and dread and pain she'd been carrying in her soul. She kissed him back with the same fathomless need, her paws snaking around his neck to tangle in the back of his mane and crush her lips desperately to his. This was how she would recover. If she never did this, never took the chance to push herself out of her quagmire of trauma, then she would never get better. She pulled Indy to her, a soft whine sounding in her throat while she pushed all of her body to his, urging him to envelop her and claim her from her demons. As he positioned himself and she found her place against his hips, the last thrill of fear and doubt rushed through her heart. Em broke their kiss and whispered a quiet command against his mouth.

They were so close that every tension and hesitation was obvious under Indigo’s touch, but each knot and resistance was smoothed at his caress. Surprise, uncertainty, and panic… he could feel her experience all of it and yet against it all she melted against him and into his touch. She whispered back to him in return, her lips brushing against his as she yielded to his touch. She put her trust in him, there was no idle word she spoke and she kept her vow. She proclaimed she was his now, and she wanted it to be so in every way. Indigo welcomed her closer and eagerly into his embrace. He wanted to show her what life could bring. This feeling she had right now was the opposite of everything she had known so far. Love instead of indifference.
She clung to him as though she couldn’t get close enough to him, and the feeling was mutual as one dark paw trailed down her back and pulled her even closer to his belly. There was swirling indecision but Emersyn showed no resistance, she pulled at him offering all that she was with their first real kiss. She wrapped her strong arms around his neck and pressed into his explorative kiss, giving him everything as they shared in each other’s affection and devotion. Her kiss was desperate and needy, and Indigo didn’t hesitate to indulge her wholly. Emersyn didn’t have to vocalize what she wanted, she spoke plainly in the way her body moved against his, how her lips navigated his own, the soft whine that fell from her lips as she urged him on with her breathy command. Indigo wouldn’t disobey, and the two of them spent the night in bliss together. Learning each other intimately, Em trusted him with her heart, body, and soul.
He never really released her that night and it wasn’t until the sun was streaming in on his face that Indigo realized he had even fallen asleep. Emersyn was still curled in his arms in what felt like the perfect place after the night she gave him. He woke smiling, not an easy feat when he felt like nightmares plagued him all too frequently. Much like she guarded the door when he was injured she warded away the dreams that might disturb him. Indigo nuzzled into the soft fur of her neck, certain she would feel the pull of wakefulness sooner rather than later. The sight of her peacefully sleeping coupled with the deeper way he knew her filled his chest with an accomplished warmth. Like he had found his purpose, and every dream he ever had paled in comparison to the life he was living. There was only one alternative he would have given everything for, but this was perfect. He’d made his own family, and each one of them became an essential part.

Following her breathless demand, Indigo brought Emersyn into an entirely new world of passion and intimacy. Throughout the night, their bodies never separated, entwined in heated desire. Indigo had been patient, gentle, moving at her pace. There had been struggles as Em rode a roller coaster of emotions with every motion they made against one another, and some pain as her body received his. Indigo was a large wolf, after all. She had clung to him throughout their mating, paws flexing and gripping at his mane, legs squeezing his waist, refusing to let him go, even once they had both reached their peaks together. Soft gasps, quiet moans, and a muffled cry as she buried her face in the crook of his neck filled the silence in their little nighttime world where only they existed. When it was all over and Em was coming down from the climactic high Indy had brought her, tears were once more falling down her cheeks, relieved and cathartic with a wide smile on her face. "Thank you..." she'd whispered to him at some point before sleep had claimed her.
That was the first night in years that Emersyn had pleasant dreams. Dreams of her new family. Dreams of Indigo.
A gentle tussling of her neck fur roused Em from slumber with a hummed grumble. Reluctantly she withdrew her face away from Indigo's chest that had become her pillow for the night, eyes blinking open to search for his smiling face with a groggy lift of her head. The moment her aqua-cobalt eyes found his a smile began to creep across her face. Feeling his strong arms around her and finding him still here in the morning made her feel a sense of femininity unlike anything she'd experienced before. His purple fur looked even more vibrant in the bright morning sunlight. She didn't speak right away, instead lifting a slow paw to gently cup Indigo's cheek and guide his muzzle back down to hers in a sleepy kiss. Her lips lingered on his, a wordless thank you for all he had given her last night. She knew it would still be some time before she fully healed from her trauma and conquered her post traumatic stress, but she had taken a huge leap of faith with him and he had shown he'd catch her. That meant more to her than anything else in the world.
"Good morning, handsome," she whispered once their mouths had parted, still lying so close she could feel his every breath against her cheek and he likewise could feel hers. He had stayed with her. He hadn't slipped off in the middle of the night like she'd been something to use and abandon when he was finished. While it may have seemed like such an obvious thing to expect with Indy, it was so hard for Em to trust anyone, and to know her trust in him hand't been misplaced—especially after last night—felt revolutionary. She felt beautiful, powerful, wanted, loved. Like today she was a whole new woman.

Being with Emersyn was different than any other Indigo had made love to yet. Her form was much closer to his size, her powerful body was incredible against his own. His patience with her was rewarded tenfold as she moved against him and bent to his will. She gave and took in tandem with him and they carried each other to breathtaking heights as their bodies entwined and danced together that night. Indigo savored her every gasp and breath, he helped ease the tension and traumas that held her beholden. Nothing existed save for the two of them entwined in blissful passion. Indigo held her tightly through their experience, and didn’t let her go even as their hearts and breathing settled from exertion. He kissed away her tears as the night grew long and they drifted to sleep wrapped in one another’s embrace.
His sleeping beauty awoke with gentle affections, her body bathed in sunlight and her bright eyes sparkling up at him. Emersyn’s grin seemed to brighten the whole room as she blinked back the sleep that had claimed both of them. The memories of the previous night flooded back as she cupped his chin and brought her dark lips to his. He grinned into their kiss, feeling equally if not more grateful for their time together. Indigo couldn’t shake the desire that still lingered in his belly, especially now as the morning light danced over her fur and she was so much more at ease.
She greeted him softly and his grin brightened mischievously. He should have been out patrolling already but he couldn’t bring himself to pull away from the woman in his arms. ”Good morning, gorgeous.” He returned playfully, nuzzling his muzzle against her own in gentle affection. He wouldn’t have dreamed of leaving her after the night's event, every moment he was given with her was treasured and he wouldn’t let her think otherwise. His heart beat faster in his chest as sleep slipped away from him. Maybe it was the rush he should have been in, the memories they made, or just how much he really desired her.
”Did you sleep well?” He asked her as he pepper her muzzle in silly kisses before gently nibbling her jaw line. Indigo didn’t have to exert much effort to feel that eager flame deep in his belly ignite. His senses were easily indulged by everything about her, from the feeling of her pressed against him to the way her sweet scent was in every breath. There were responsibilities piled up outside the door but all he wanted was to spend the morning wrapped up in her.

Everything about Indigo seemed to be handcrafted to bring joy and warmth and love. From the way he looked at her to the way he held her and the way he kissed her back. Gods, even that roguish grin filled her belly with butterflies and the warm tension she'd felt with him the night before! He returned her morning greeting in turn, even something as simple as that making her grin like a simpleton. She was still struggling with her own inner demons around coming to terms with her beauty and appearance, so hearing him call her gorgeous was another injection of confidence straight into her deflated self esteem.
She giggled quietly when he nuzzled her, all too eager to return the gentle affections by brushing her muzzle against his and planting a tender kiss to his cheek. As if in perfect retaliation, he began to shower her muzzle in little kisses, making her laugh in earnest while she playfully tried to turn her nose up and away and failing miserably to escape his symphony of smooches. "Mhmm. That was the best night of my life," she whispered back in the stillness of the tranquil morning. "How about you?" Em let out a breathy sigh of delight while Indigo graced her jaw line with nibbles, her head instinctively tipping back to grant him better access—as well as total trust and access to her vulnerable throat. Before him, she would never allow another wolf anywhere near her like this. Indigo was special. He had given her the time and patience and love to nurture her through her recovery, and now he could reap the rewards of what he had sown.
Em's breath caught in her throat while she gave all of herself to Indigo for him to enjoy. Her eyelids fluttered closed, basking in the feeling of being loved and desired by this large, strong, handsome man. Her paws wrapped slowly around his neck to run delicate claws through his mane, the very tips of her claws just barely grazing his skin while she stroked up and down his neck and across his shoulders. One of Em's hind legs lifted to stretch and drape languidly around his hip, just a short move away from wrapping around his waist entirely, and subtly pushed her hips up into his in a silent demand. Being with Indigo was such a stark difference to Segin. Indigo matched her not just closely in size, but in strength, insistence, dominance. Their lovemaking felt much more give and take, like Indigo could have his way with her in a heartbeat or she could top him in the blink of an eye. They worked together in equal partnership, and that was part of what made passion with the Fatalis brute so amazing.
A soft whine escaped Em's lips between her breathy gasps and deeper breathing. Her heart beat faster and stronger against her chest, the heat in her core burning hotter by the second. Her paws gripped at his mane, pulling herself tighter to him while she used their position to tip her muzzle closer to his ear, letting her tongue dance over the edge of it briefly. "Any chance I could convince you for a repeat performance before we get up?" Her words were whispered almost directly into his ear, her paws roaming through his thick dark violet fur. A part of her knew she shouldn't be selfish with his time, that they both had responsibilities waiting for them outside the bedroom, that the others would probably be wondering where they were soon enough. That part of her was silenced by the rest of her that didn't care. Indigo had made her feel so, so amazing—and more importantly, alive. Completely and unabashedly alive.

Em let out a breathy sigh of delight while Indigo graced her jaw line with nibbles, her head instinctively tipping back to grant him better access—as well as total trust and access to her vulnerable throat.

He felt like a love struck yearling with the easy going almost innocent way they held and teased each other that morning. Indigo grinned through his long saber teeth, letting the feeling wash over him as they smiled together. He felt absolutely giddy in the morning light, holding her against him as they slowly awoke from an incredible night. The pair of them were almost child like as they giggled and teased each other, Indigo with gentle kisses as she averted her muzzle but couldn’t quite bring herself out of reach of him. Her laugh drove him on as the motions shifted from innocent and playful to needy and passionate as he kissed her throat and trailed his fangs along the skin there.
She answered his question but Indigo hadn’t expected to hear the words she said. Maybe he’d get a confirmation but he hadn’t expected to have shared the best night of her life with her. Or maybe he should have, considering the history she told him and everything she had to live with before he found her. She changed almost completely, at least towards him. Before she couldn't trust anyone, she was in flight or fight mode preparing for her death. Indigo showed her life and gave her a new lease on what she could experience during her time here. ”It was marvelous,” his sleep and the night that he had with her. Indigo nibbled along her jaw and Emersyn offered her throat to him.
Indigo took in a deep breath of her, savoring her sweet perfume as he trailed kisses down her neck and Emersyn enjoyed his affections. As he teased at her skin she returned the mischievous actions. Indigo grinned through the kisses he placed down her neck as she ran her paws through his man and shifted her body against him. Em was a testament to their species, well muscled and lean beneath her perfect fur. A shapely feminine form that fit against his own to near perfection. She pressed her hips against his low, one of her dark furred legs wrapped around him suggestively. Indigo traced the curve of her waist and into her hip as he pulled her closer and buried his features against her soft fur. The morning was swiftly turning into a memoire of the evening before.
If her body didn’t speak plainly enough the soft whine that fell from her lips spoke volumes. He teased and coaxed her as readily as she did the same and both stoked that deep burning flame within. She grasped against his mane, pulling herself closer even, there wasn’t an inch of her he wasn’t trying to touch as she gasped and lost her breath for desire. She titled her muzzle against his ear and teased him with her tongue and her words. The way she was positioned against him would have made the answer more than obvious but Indy still grinned at her words and worked his way back to her lips in silent answer. He craved her even after their experience the night before, but really it felt like a continuation, like this was exactly how they were supposed to start their morning after such pleasures together.
”You say that as though I could resist a beautiful woman like you,” He chuckled lightly against her lips as he shifted his hips to further prove his point. A deep groan rumbled from his chest as he wrapped her up in his arms and joined their bodies together again. Indigo’s heart nearly beat out of his chest as fire laced through his veins. Emersyn showed her strength to him and while he was careful with his actions he pushed her much harder than he would have anyone else. Of course Indigo was attentive to her wants and needs but the intensity their bodies achieved was unlike anything he had explored so far.

Emersyn delighted in the way Indigo played with her in turn, his little kisses moving from her muzzle to her exposed throat, feeling tender lips and careful sabers grazing over her skin with a passion that demanded attention. Her paws flexed, digits gripping at his back with a need she was slowly coming more familiar with in the pit of her belly, coiling and uncoiling itself like a spring waiting to burst. It seemed like her giant bear of a wolf lover enjoyed playing with that spring inside her as his kisses moved down her throat, making her breath come out ragged and stuttering. Toes curled as her hips squirmed and pressed more into his, her body moving and reacting almost on its own in response to the masterful way he was manipulating her senses. It was as if Indigo was worshipping every part of her, savoring her, memorizing her body with lips and teeth and tongue and paws. She was more than happy to let him study to his heart's content.
She took her time to savor Indigo as well. His rich, masculine musk filled her senses and gave her a heady rush of pheromones. The way his thick fur felt between her paws while she clung to him, his massive, strong, well-built body that could easily overwhelm and overpower her pressed all around her. He was a perfect specimen of a brute: a gold standard for all males around the world. Em gasped quietly when she felt Indigo's larger paw dip down the curve of her back to loop around her waist, gripping a hip to pull her body tighter to his where she could feel his heat and passion the strongest. Em bit her lip to stifle another needy whine that slipped past, rolling her hips into a slow yet insistent grind to his, using soft fur and warm skin to try an elicit some of those sounds she'd heard him make last night.
Indigo's comment that he couldn't resist her brought a proud, feminine grin to Em's features. She had never considered herself a beautiful wolf, but Indigo made her feel like a goddess. He made her feel valuable, desirable, worthy of love. That fire he kindled in her raged into an inferno when he adjusted his hips and sank himself into her. Emersyn's gasp joined his groan, her claws digging into his shoulders for purchase while he cradled her body against his, the dusty purple fae's vision going blurry as her senses drowned in a lake of fire, molten desire melting her from within as she and Indigo became one. She buried her face in the crook of his neck, not to hide herself anymore, but to smother herself in Indy. Her legs wrapped around his waist while their bodies moved together in harmony, familiar pleasures and sensations returning as she rolled and moved against him and with him at once, feeling as if she couldn't be close enough to this man that had given her a new life.
The best part of their coupling was how caring and attentive Indy was throughout. At no point did he stop paying attention to her, responding to every gasp and cry and moan like he was learning her every intimate spot. She tried to do her best to follow his lead, learn what he liked, learn what made him make those noises or cause him to shake with ecstasy. Not once did she consider asking him to stop, all fear and pain gone from her and all she knew was love and passion. As that passion burned hotter until she couldn't take it anymore, Em brought herself out of Indy's neck to capture his mouth in a deeply passionate kiss, tasing him against her tongue while she whined with release, clinging to Indigo like he was all that was keeping her in this world.
It was only once they'd both reached the peaks of their pleasure did Emersyn's body relax and sink back into the bed and into Indigo's hold, the fae left panting and trembling from her body's intense reactions to his brand of passion. Em had difficulty flickering her eyes open, but when she did, she immediately sought out the deep sapphire that brought her so much peace and security. Basking in the afterglow of euphoria with Indy felt like all of her greatest dreams come true. A wide, satisfied smile found its home on her lips while she slowly released her grip on his mane, bringing one paw around to touch his cheek with a gentle caress. "What did I do to deserve someone as good as you, Indy...?" she whispered once she'd caught her breath enough to speak reverence for her savior. "You're too good to me."

The fiery dance they performed together was never meant to be a spectacle, it was an incredible experience shared between the two of them in the most intimate ways. As Indigo moved against Emersyn’s body she reacted in ways that fueled the burning desire within him. She offered up no resistance and encouraged his actions with the movement of her hips and the desperate grasps of her paws. He built the reaction in her, craving the sighs and moans that left her lips as he gave her the pleasures she returned to him tenfold. They burned like fire together and from ashes rose again to the heights of pleasure and bliss. They dove deeply into each other and reiterated their passions for one another. Indigo learned her as they went, with careful yet needy actions he offered his attentions exactly where she wanted him. He was careful to listen to her subtle cues and placed his efforts in creating an explosion of ecstasy within her.
Through their love making she clung to him and buried herself against his thick fur, but as they both reached a stunning high she found his lips with a desperate kiss and brought them both to climax as she whined against their deeply passionate kiss. Indigo squeezed her tightly as he returned her kiss and felt that incredible release, he would harmonize their vocals as their bodies shuddered and rolled together. There wasn’t much to compare to being together like this and feeling the sweet release of their passion as one.
With heavy breaths the both of them melted back against the cushioned bed beneath them, barely having begun the day but Indigo felt content and well spent. Emersyn was an incredible partner, and he groaned lightly as he tried to regain his mental function. He basked in her presence and the afterglow, letting the tingling sensation spread through his torso and his limbs. Indigo didn’t release his hold on the woman. Their eyes met and he drank in the girlish grin that played on her features as she looked up adoringly at him. Indigo returned her smile, the corners of his lips pulling back as she spoke softly. He leaned against her paw and gazed lovingly into her dual toned gazed as she offered her appreciation.
He knew it was for more than their time together, however incredible their intimacy may have been Indigo felt like he was the one who was blessed. ”You endured,” he whispered to her softly, leaning in for a more innocent kiss than the one they shared only moments ago. ”You’ve seen too much pain, you deserve every kindness. If that includes more of.. this” He spoke delicately of the passions they shared. He almost felt guilty for enjoying their time together so much. ”I’ll ‘be good’ to you as much as you can handle.” Indigo spoke softly against her lips, sapphire eyes still dancing with the flames they shared together.
Indigo’s mind was never far from his responsibilities though, and his expression suddenly became more downcast. As though his next words were painfully spoken. I know this is not an ideal moment, but…” He chose his next words carefully. ”I don’t want to be careless with our actions, I have some herbs that should prevent pregnancy…” He trailed off slightly. He wasn’t prepared to father any children right now. The band wasn’t far enough through its infancy and he wasn’t sure he could feel farther from being prepared to take on his role as a father. ”For now.” He would leave the statement open ended. He hadn’t really thought about family beyond the wolves he gathered. He was intimate with Emersyn and Duchess, either would make an excellent mother to his children but he wasn’t ready to open that discussion yet. Out loud or in his mind. Even more so he didn’t know if either woman would even want to bear his children, so he kicked the can down the road.

It all still didn't feel real to her. Lying in this bed, surrounded by comfort and warmth, held tightly and safely in Indigo's arms as he brought her to ecstasies she'd never imagined and gave her a sense of belonging and love that had been absent in her life, all Emersyn could wonder was when she would wake up. Certainly this all had to be some fantastical dream; a feverish illusion in her brain as she lay dying on the side of some river, exhausted, dehydrated, and malnourished. There was no conceivable way that she could picture her life shifting into this, being held in the arms of a lover, basking in the tremendous afterglow of amazing lovemaking on a sunny morning. Yet as second after second slipped by and the dream didn't end, Em instead found herself melting against Indy's body, nuzzling her nose into his chest and neck to drink in his scent and revel in the texture of his fur. Her eyes never left his, not daring to look away for fear that he might vanish if she did.
Indigo explained what she had done to earn this paradise: she had endured. Endured all the horror, pain, and torment at the hands of a family that didn't want her, parents who didn't love her, a slavemaster who hadn't cared for her, wolves that wanted to hurt her in terrible ways. She returned his kiss, a small hum of amusement in her voice when he mentioned more of this intimacy as part of her reward, and how he'd happily be good to her for as much as she could want. "You spoil me, Indy," she teased him with a gentle lick to the end of his snout.
She noted the way his expression seemed to deflate, that glowing happiness in his eyes dulling just enough to be noticeable. She looked up at him curiously, not given a chance to wonder what was on his mind before he started speaking. His explanation caught Em by surprise; Indigo was making sure she didn't get pregnant by circumstance. It was touching and also incredibly responsible of him, and she found herself even more grateful to have gotten to give herself to such a caring lover. "That's good, I wouldn't want to leave something like that to chance either," she agreed, running her paws down over his chest, claws delicately following the edges of his defined muscles. Indy's words trailed off, then he added two pivotal words to his earlier statement. For now.
Em gazed up into Indy's smoldering sapphire eyes with surprise while a rush of warmth hit her. Was Indigo subtly implying that he would one day want children with her? Emersyn had never considered herself the motherly type, nor had she ever considered a possibility of having pups before this very moment. Up until Indigo had liberated her, Emersyn's life had been one under total control, and that future had never existed. But with him... She could definitely see him as an excellent father. Kind, caring, compassionate, protective... It wasn't a discussion she was ready to have right now, snuggled in bed after their first night together, but it was a door she was willing to leave open to exploring later. "For now," she agreed with an affectionate smile at the larger man, bringing a paw up to gently boop him on the nose. "One step at a time, lover boy." The grin she gave him would hopefully be all the answer she needed to give. If he wanted, they could discuss having children together one day. But they both still had a lot of life ahead of them too.

He held onto her and promised her himself, again and again if that was what she wanted. Indulging in each other produced bountiful pleasures for the both of them but Indigo would argue that she was the one to spoil him. No one he had been with was quite like Emersyn. He grinned as she licked the tip of his nose and teased him lightly. They couldn’t be all giggles and smiles though, Indigo’s expression grew more serious but before Em could question him he explained. He wasn’t sure what kind of reaction he was going to get from such a sudden and bold statement, but it was a necessity. They were adults and needed to be responsible, Indigo had every intention of planning the moment he became a father.
There was no rebuke, Emersyn seemed almost grateful for such caution, it seemed like she felt much the same way he did. Constantly wondering about the possibility of sudden puppies was a stress he wasn’t willing to take, and Emersyn agreed. She ran her paws through his mane and his grin returned, even as she was caught by surprise. Her past was full of strife and conflict he wondered if there was really a true day of stability in her entire life. Now that he had a future ot offer her, Indigo could see her mindset shift. There was a huge world of possibilities to explore together, and maybe one day the conversation would be rekindled. For now..
He chuckled as she booped his nose and reminded him to take one step at a time. They hadn’t even left the castle yet and here he was mentioning children. Or the lack thereof. Indigo’s face grew red hot and he offered a lopsided grin in return. ”One step at a time,” he agreed but he couldn't help but tease her in return. ”Like getting out of bed.” Indigo joked lightly, still chuckling slightly as he held her a little closer. Her dual toned eyes held his sapphire gaze and he was reminded how grateful he was she agreed to stay with him.

Emersyn gave a deep sigh and groaned when Indigo mentioned they would have to eventually get out of bed. As much as she hated the idea in this moment, especially when her whole body still felt tingly and numb, she knew he was right. The other wolves had no doubt started their day already and would be wondering where they were sooner or later. "I know... You make it so hard though," she remarked and gave him a grin and a wink. But all good things had to come to an end. With one last parting kiss to his lips, Em slowly untangled herself from Indy's body, squirming out of his embrace to roll to her paws. Her legs still felt weak from the lovemaking they'd shared—Indigo was by no means a small wolf in any regards—and there was a pleasant ache that she had to contend with to get her body to do what she wanted it to do.
Slipping off the bed and back to the floor, Em gave a long, languid stretch of her body, rolling her shoulders til they popped and released all the sleep-addled fatigue from her muscles. A shake of her coat to fluff it back up, then smoothing it down to her form with her paws, and Emersyn was ready for the day. No doubt she'd need to take a bath before anything else, lest she go around the castle smelling of Indigo and sex. Her contrasting eyes turned to find him while he got up as well, giving him a small smile and stepping out of the room beside him. Though they had to return to the mundane of the everyday world, the night and morning they'd shared together would be burned into the fae's memory for the rest of the day.
It was then that Em knew she had made the right decision choosing to stay with him.
