Oddity looked at her a bit apologetic, he had no idea what size a female moose had been. And didn't think deer were out during the winter. He shook his head a bit for the stupidity and then turned his body towards the pines. It was good enough for him though, as he pulled himself forwards, hoping Abelinda would lead the way. Considering he was hindered at the moment, not being able to scent anything at all.
He waited patiently for her command, he wouldn't be fairly good with his senses until his wounds healed. That would take some time, but waiting was half the fun wasn't it? Waiting to be able to be useful again. It was a weird feeling he had only witnessed twice in his adult life. And hopefully it'd become in a shorter time frame within his future.

He proved to say nothing and moved on a soft smile was given at his look. ?It's fine Oddity, you have much to learn then again we all do.? Speaking lightly as she rose only to be by his side playfully she gave his ear a nip before leading the way, scenting the air as she took the lead it didn't take too long for her to pick up the scent of something.

It was that of something dead, Abel knew it was a deer but what had caused it to die? Had the winter been too harsh? Shrugging such aside for a few moments the ghostly serpent lead them to the area where the deer was it was obvious something had gotten a hold of it. A good bit of flesh was missing from the chest and midsection a long with a leg missing. Inspecting the deer a bit closer a scent strongly came to her. ?Seems we have a wolverine in the area.? A light remark as she padded past the deer picking up that scent again a fresh and live one.

A herd shortly came into view as she paused looking the group over searching for a weakened one, an elder or one with an injury perhaps a ill one even. Those would be the best targets for them to go after; a small bit of blood caught her attention of a straggling buck in the group perhaps the wolverine had injured him. ?We'll go for him; I'll circle around you herd the buck towards me.? Giving simple instructions as Abel snuck off taking care to go around before picking a spot on the other side those eyes glued to the buck as she waited for Oddity to spook the herd and drive the buck towards her.

Oddity nodded towards the woman, half of himself was pondering about something anyway. As she spoke he listened and once he was told to do something, he got straight to it. The man pulled sore muscles forward towards the front of the heard. It was as if he was a small black ghost. Obviously he stood out from the snow, but he was a far enough distance away that they didn't notice him. It wasn't until he growled and leaped forward that they got spooked.
The injured buck moved towards Abelinda's position, as Oddity waited for her to get a hold on him so he could act as back up to possibly kill it. It didn't matter who killed it as long as they got it anyway right? As Oddity worked his muscles he couldn't help but to feel empowered, and he definitely knew one thing. He wanted Abelinda, in more than one way. So from this day, he wanted to try and make her fall for him. Even if it meant falling off of a cliff into a deep ditch a thousand times over. It was time, this time, he wanted to prove himself to perhaps dig for something much more better for himself and his mentality.

He was a man of duty that much Abel could see it surprised as it seemed her brother hadn't bothered putting him to good use, why? Abel would have to question him later on about this but for now she focused on the hunt; those eyes watching as the herd split in different directions as Oddity made him self known chasing the buck towards her finally. Tucked down and ready to spring Abel waited for the right moment..

As soon as the buck was close enough Abelinda sprang from her spot those jaws wrapping them selves around the neck in a violent snarl as the dame clamped her jaws on the neck cutting off the air flow as she pulled it down to the ground. Thrashing as it did Abel did her best to stay out of the way of flailing hooves a good kick from one of those could be a killer or could even go as far as breaking a limb.

Oddity launched himself on the deer as soon as Abelinda had her hold. He was there for support after all. Using powerful muscles and jaws to hold the body down until the creature would finally stop flailing in the lady's grasp. As soon as it was dead, Oddity had a sense of relief wash over him, hungry eyes looking at the meat. As his gaze turned towards Abelinda. She was of royal blood, therefore usually she would be the first one to eat while he waited.
While when Oddity was silent, he still spoke through actions. He only generally spoke when needed, or for the fact that he was indeed thinking at the moment. Deciding and carefully depicting all of his moves, his motives his personality that called for it. Oddity was odd, in all of that aspect. He was just also waiting for permission to eat, you never knew what would push a wolf's buttons after all.

He came to her help and swiftly despite his wounds only Abel hopped he hadn't opened any if them with the chasing and running along with his recent lunge. Then Abel would have to patch him up again and that wasn't all that fun in her mind save for the fact she got to be good and close to the shadowy man; strange as he was he was growing on her. It wasn't something if she could tell that she liked or not but Abel would wait and see what would readily happen there was little reason for Abel to push her luck.

Once the struggling stopped and she was free to let go of the neck those lips were licked as those eyes lifted to meet his own. ?Don't be afraid to eat Oddity.? The women spoke softly as she picked a spot just near the belly before ripping away at the flesh that stomach growling as she did so Abelinda couldn't remember the last time she had a proper meal.

Oddity chose a spot near the shoulder, digging his teeth easily into the flesh. His wounds had stayed closed due to his hindered movements. After all he had learned from a young age to conceal the hurt, while he only had one scar. He had gotten plenty of wounds from his father that he still had to train with otherwise risk getting more. The savory meat was a break from the average rabbits he usually had gotten. But by the looks of it Abelinda herself, hadn't had a meal like this one in ages. He was glad he could have contributed towards it.
"This is my first time......actually hunting with another wolf." He said, starring at the open flesh that he had made in the deer. It was a fact that this was indeed the first time he had ever hunted with another wolf, let alone a glaciem wolf. He had never hunted with his father, so this, it was something he had never experienced. And it was indeed something he enjoyed.

Digging into the flesh as she was the dame was quick to stain her one clean muzzle in the bucks flesh proving to hungrily rip into the animal to get the substance she desired. Showing perhaps a darker side to her self being much more then the kindness Abel had showed Oddity during their late night encounter. Eating away at the deer the dame soon put a dent in what was once a flawless hide of the animal now torn and having a hole in it. It didn't take long for Abelinda to have her fill and sit down a few paw steps away as the lady went onto grooming her self to free that pelt and muzzle free of the blood and flesh.

Those ears perked at what Oddity said and a smile crossed her lips. ?Well, I'm glad to have been the first to provide such an experience for you to enjoy; Oddity.? Speaking lightly once again as her grooming ended, feeling much better then before being clean and her stomach full Abel could hardly be happier right then.

Oddity turned towards the girl, he himself had made quiet an indent on the kill. Now all that was left was a few pieces of flesh, and bones. Though finally, he gave a smile that rose on his features towards the girl. The first smile he had given off in ages, if he had even done it at all. It wasn't devious, it wasn't hidden behind a mask either. Oddity really was happy, and he couldn't realize that until now. Honestly all sides of Abelinda that were showing, were the best he could have ever know. He knew the ruthless monster behind it all because of the family, and because of how life was anyway.
"You are the first among many to make me feel as I belong here as a wolf. Thank you Abelinda." He'd be a patient waiter, he would get to know her better before asking her. After all, this was Isar's sister and he had to remind himself of that. If he did her wrong Isar would have his head, not that he wanted to, they both served Isar for the time being didn't they? In a deadly dance, that was called life.

Abelinda had noticed that not much of the deer was left leaving it bare bone with a few meager scraps left, so much for taking anything back to the rest. Oh well, they'd just have to do their own hunting. Her ghostly eyes shifted to Oddity seeing that smile glad someone was enjoying him self perhaps he wasn't as emotionless as he had thought he was; he just needed someone to bring out those emotions of his it was clear the ones he had meant before hadn't done so properly.

?No problem Oddity.? The dame said lightly standing only to look to him. ?I see someones enjoying him self.? The serpent said with a smirk titling that head slightly as she looked at him; it was better to see him at least smiling rather then being down and out as he had been before. Turning that gaze from him those eyes looked back towards the way home, perhaps they should head back? Unless he had something els he wanted to do perhaps..

Oddity's gaze pulled over the woman. Geez why did he always have to fall over the armada family again? He let out a small puff of air, he wasn't emotionless it was just that one that he was missing. He turned his body towards he and got closer. His tail flicked yep it was a definite yes, on his end of the bargain. Yet, it looked like it was time to return towards the center. With war creeping around the corner they had to be ready. Even if he was injured he would have to fight, and he guessed he gladly would.
"Shall we?" He asked pulled himself against her side. Passing her by and then waiting a few feet away. Maybe she'd get the message and he'd eventually be able to make her fall for him. That would be a dream, but he'd still work for it, that was one thing he could look forward to. A game like that, as long as no one else came into the picture, then he'd have to eliminate it.

The brutes gaze didn't go unnoticed by the serpent as her gaze settled on his form a brow rose briefly as his gaze lingered but her own soon drifted from his own form as she stood shaking that coat once before taking a step forward no doubt they should return now yet what would they do now? The phantom didn't know perhaps something would come to mind along the way thus it wasn't worried over in the least.

Raising a brow as he soon was beside her allowing their pelts to mingle not that Abel minded but she found him being a little forward. Had the poor man fallen for her already? Proving to remain silent as he passed her an ear flicked slightly in thought as she drew to his pressing against him teasingly as she passed him by. After a few moments however. ?What do you think of the upcoming war?? A simple question that would turn the topic perhaps into something more as they made their way home.

Oddity was a patient man, but it wasn't like he wouldn't try. He couldn't tell her of his feelings until they bonded more, that was how he had assessed the situation. His strides were barely hindered by his wounds, even though they'd still take some time to heal. He wouldn't have his sense of smell for the duration of the war. For that after he hadn't had a victory he felt slightly deterred off of fighting even though he still wanted to do it. His bi colored orbs turned towards Abelinda, she was one to start up small talk wasn't she. Even if she wasn't looking for love Oddity would be trying his best to make her fall for him.
"I've never met any of these Valhallans, but if its a war Isar wants to fight then I'll fight it. After all he goes for what he wants." Isar, there was Isar too. He had to confront him, after all this was his sister. Oddity would have to treat her with extra care. In the end Isar may just end up hating him, maybe even more than when he had feelings for him? He didn't know but one thing was for sure if she ever returned his feelings he would confront Isar about it.

Padding forth the wraith was silent as she waited to hear his words not being one to be pushy for answer save perhaps when it came to a slave but those even had bee a bit rare. Being quite as Abelinda was her gaze lingered on what was before her snow and trees along with the place they called home; surely her brother knew what he was doing. Going to war just as she arrived the serpentine women wasn't too sure of the idea but never the less she'd serve Isar to the best of her ability during these times.

?That much is true, my brother was always one to do what he had to get what he wanted.? Pausing before she spoke again; ?But that isn't answering my question either Oddity.? The dame spoke softly as those ghostly eyes looked to him before Abelinda focused on where they were going.

While they passed by the bloody spot in the snow, Oddity knew they were nearing the dens now. His ears flicked as the girl spoke to him. That wasn't what she asked? What had she asked then, he didn't quiet understand. The male stopped to perk his ears, wondering if he was being paranoid or if he could hear something. Deciding to blow it off he began to speak again as they neared the dens. "I'm not sure what you mean then Abelinda, you asked what I think about the war, and I simply answered what I did think of it. If you mean weather we will win or not, well that it left up to our strength. I know nearly none of these wolves other than Lova and Isar along with his children Satis and Taurig, and taurig is no longer with us. So I cannot judge something upon what I have not seen. The same goes for Valhallans, I do not know them." Oddity tried his best to explain. As they reached the dens and his eyes fell upon the one they had slept in. There seemed to be something moving in it. A deep growl left his throat with a flick of his tail.
Once the wolf got a closer wolf it was apparent two wolverines had gotten into the den with a dead deer. Or rather the bones they were crushing between their teeth to eat. Such vicious creatures, he growled deep in his throat and raised his hackles. Disgusting beasts didn't belong where these wolves stood. His lips pulled back in a snarl as the two creatures raised their head. Letting out their usual annoying screams tails flicking behind them. They'd be easy to get rid of, well maybe. Wolverines were unpredictable and annoying creatures. He knew he wouldn't let them touch Abelinda though. Her blood was precious, as was his feelings for her as well.

Those eyes drifted to a bloodied spot in the snow causing a brow to rise, what was that from? But she didn't ask for it didn't seem all that important or was she wrong? Shrugging the thoughts aside as they drew nearer to the dens. ?Always the interesting question; if we will win or not.? The dame mused lightly flicking that tail behind her as those paws began to lead her towards the den they had slept in.

His sudden tense stance caught her attention along with the smell of wolverines; where had they came from? Moving beside Oddity and knowing his intent however the fea gave a frown. ?We're better off avoiding them Oddity, they will leave on their own.? The serpentine women didn't fancy in getting into a fight with the little beast knowing they could easily crush bone with those jaws of theirs. Getting into a fight before the war was far from an ideal thing.

Oddity lowered his hackles, best leave them be? They were in their territory, but indeed they did have bigger things to worry about. As he turned his head he flicked his tail and ignored the two beasts who continued to devour the bones. It was Abel after all, he would listen to her, he would make her enjoy him. As much as he could. After all, it was half the fun of the game wasn't it? He found himself at one of the empty dens, farther off from where the creatures were. A small cave indented in the stone of a large rock, near the edge of the pines.
"What do you think of Isardis Abelinda? Since your his sister, you should know him best." The man asked, curiously looking at her. He wanted to know, but small talk had seemed to be the best way to get to her. Maybe he was coming around it all wrong, he tended to be afraid of making a mistake. His tail flicking, as he relaxed himself in the cave, they would just have to wait until the war approached wouldn't they?

Abelinda gaze met Oddity's knowing he would of rather ran off these creatures then ignore them. ?No need to risk any more injury before the war, Oddity.? Speaking lightly as she turned following him to a cave much further away from the one that held the two wolverines of which were in the process of feasting on the rest of a deer carcass and bones they had hunted. It wasn't like them to be in pairs perhaps it was a pair of siblings.

Once at a cave the fea stepped in and choose to sat at the entrance so it was a bit warmer. The brute proved to offer her an odd question one that made her rise a brow. ?Indeed I do, we grew up together while he was older then me, I did what I could to make him proud even happy.? There was no doubt she was devoted and loyal to her elder half-brother. Waiting a few moments as her gaze drifted from him a bit in thought. ?What got you to asking such a question, Oddity?? Of course she had her reasons after all Isardis was her brother but he, what did he have for asking such a thing?

Oddity enjoyed the cold a littler better than the warmth. It meant something to him, much like he hated the sound of happiness in those who were oblivious to the pain in the world that they could possibly suffer if they aren't careful. His bi colored orbs looked at her. As he listened to her answer, that didn't exactly tell him what she thought of him. "That doesn't tell me what you think of him." He said in a slight whispered tone. Pulling his ears slightly to the side as he looked at the snow.
"I've seen Isardis around the things he loves, and the things he doesn't. I've seen those who love him and those who hate him. He is like an equal side of an angel and a demon, and yet he still seems to be a mystery. He is a strong man, with a strong heart, and evil, yet not. In-between as I could describe it, he is like the true essence of someone who lives life the way it should be lived. And that is the reason why I follow him." Oddity explained, with a slight dip of his head. And here he was, falling in love with his sister, that was something he never thought would come his way. That was for sure.

Lifting that head a bit the wraith sighed a bit. ?I suppose that is true.? Pausing as she mused a bit. ?There isn't much to say about him Oddity; he is my brother and I am devoted to him. I care for him as any sibling should while striving to make him proud. I would do anything for him if I had to; he is as you said something in between. He isn't a bad man while he may seem to be to those who hate him or vice verse. It is simply how life is, how our family is however strange we maybe. Our blood is what binds us together along with our loyalty to one another.? The dame spoke far more then she had intended to but perhaps she had told him what he wanted to know and more.

?I am glad you see him as such Oddity; he can be a difficult one to understand behind all of his mystery. Then again we all share that mysterious mystery to our selves no two being alike.? A simple response for him as the wraith proved to lay down; those paws before her as that head rested upon them in slight thought. Her gaze on the forest as she listened to what he had to say.
