A lot of the ropes found around Tojo were ceremonial, or at least were too culturally important to chew on. But one of the adults had found an old fraying piece for Kaizen to sink his teeth into and what a grand time he was having. It was heavy, his teeth gritted as he dragged it along, pretending he'd caught some gigantic beast and he was hauling it back to his family to show off his prowess. He arched his back, dragging it in short bursts at a time, because as strong as he wanted to be, it was heavy. If he had someone else to help him tug at the other end it wouldn't be so bad, but it was his rope and he had too many siblings to share with.

Sniffing out one of her siblings wasn't a terribly hard feat, given just how many of them there were. Every time Seiko turned a corner there was another one of them - not that she was complaining, not by any means. She loved having a big family. It meant there was always, always something to do. Someone to wander around with, someone to wrestle, someone to harass. Always someone.

Seiko's black gaze scoured the bamboo as she wiggled between a particularly dense patch, popping out on the other side with a resounding grunt. Already she found a target, a piece of rope dragging around a corner. Whoever it was didn't really matter to her, not when a moving target was too tempting for the eager pup to chase after. "Mine!" She shouted out as she charged the rope, hoping to land on it and stop whoever was dragging it.

The pup paused, wondering who had said that and what they really meant by mine. By the time he put two and two together it was too late, Kaizen was yanked forward as someone grabbed onto the rope, his ears pinning back in frustration. Seiko? It sure sounded like her voice now that he thought about it, and a twitch of his nose revealed her smelly smell that was indeed familiar. He gritted his teeth as he dug his paws in, digging up the thin layer of bamboo leaves that served as a carpet to the many corridors of the maze. "Nuhizmine." He grunted back, refusing to open his mouth wide enough to actually speak properly.

Oh, it was Kaizen that had found a special rope treasure and she'd be damned if he took it all for himself. Wasn't like they found a lot of fun toys like this anyway, and, well... it was a pain to compete with ten siblings. Rarely things were really claimed by any of them, not really, not when you couldn't trust it being yours the next time you turned away. So she certainly wasn't gonna let Kaizen get this fun rope and claim it all as his own. Her weight didn't do a lot to stop him as he dug in and pulled hard. It wasn't like she was much bigger than him anyway. Deciding her efforts were futile, she figured she'd go after the one dragging the thing, abandoning her quest and rushing down the rope's length to try to tackle him. She was all legs, fumbling as she tried to bring her paws up over him, hoping he'd drop his new toy. "No, I said mine," she reiterated, frustration clear in her voice - but in a puppy sort of way, not malicious in the slightest. She wasn't capable of that. He just had a fun new toy and she wanted a piece of it! Sharing was good, right? The rope went slack as she let go and Kaizen mistakenly thought she'd conceded. As if it could be so easy. He was still holding onto the rope when Seiko came rushing forward, paw raised and ready to give him a solid whack as she stated her demands- just as intent as he was to claim the ropey prize. Kaizen dropped the heavy rope, ears flicking back with teeth bared, not a particular threatening sight to behold, but who was really intimidated by puppies?  

He lunged up, teeth snapping as he figured if he grabbed a hold of her paw she wouldn't be able to hit him with it.

Sharing was caring, at least that's how it should be, but when you had such a big family usually it was just a matter of it being impossible to keep things to yourself with so many snapping jaws and clumsy paws grabbing everything around you. Kaizen shouldn't be at all surprised she wanted a piece of his new toy. He fortunately dropped the rope, though she flinched a little bit when he bared her teeth. Not scary, not when she was so used to brawling with her littermates, but he did look a little bit more intense than she was used to and it caused her to fumble for a second. Just enough for him to grab one of her paws, which earned a sharp yelp as she tried to scurry backwards. Not before aiming her free paw to swat at his nose, though - which might cause her to stumble further, but maybe she'd land the hit and throw him off balance.
