As the day of his retirement quickly approached, the Warlord would finally allow the wolves of the Armada to know beyond a doubt that it was happening. He wished to give them a chance to speak to him, and take any resources they wished from Sirius before they found themselves with another leader. As well as wanting to give his children whatever tools they needed to thrive, he wished also for all wolves of the Armada to find the paths they would be happiest in.
So he called out his news, and settled in beside the familiar form of the Obelisk as he waited to see if any of his wolves wished to speak to him. Soon, he would pass this pack on to Basilisk and make his way down to the Hallows so his grandson could begin his reign without Seer’s interference.

Levi as always kept to himself, what he did in his own time was his own business. If it hadn't been for the consideration-his own version of care- for his family, he would have left long ago. Like his sisters had, Basilisk was the only one who'd remained and look at what that had gotten him. Which wasn't to say Levi was particularly jealous, Levi was like Azure in too many ways- not exactly likeable nor fit for leadership.
For one he heeded his Grandfathers call, moving at a casual enough lope till he came face to face with the dire wolf. There was no koi in him, if you asked him it would probably be due to the Long Night itself. The world had been twisted and wrong, bending wolves out of shape and twisting them into things they shouldn't be, or so he'd heard anyway. Not that anyone talked about those times much, something about it being traumatic.
"How much do you think things will change around here?" He asked, moving to sit against the obelisk, back pressing against the old stone.

The old Warlord smiled at the small grandson that was the first to answer his call. He was so tiny against the great Obelisk, but Sirius knew also that Levi was a fighter to be reckoned with. The golden wolf had stood by his side when Andy was young, and had been threatened by an outsider. He was a steady wolf to have at your side.
He figured it would be a few moments before anyone else appeared, so he leaned a little closer to Levi and smiled at the golden wolf. “Hard to say, It’s his first time stepping into such a role. But I imagine those around him will have a part in influencing what this pack becomes.” He raised a brow at Levi, silently asking ‘will you be one of those wolves?’

"Mmm, he's always been sentimental." Which was to say he'd gotten all sorts of torn up about Hanako missing, had even sought out Azure for some reason or another. Caring for individuals on a one on one basis wasn't something Levi was good at, it was just easier to regard the whole. Fatalis' for the most part were family and that's all they needed to be in his eyes. "Not as bad as Mortis at least." Came his dry addition, his lip quriking ever so slightly.
He adjusted his shoulder, rolling it slightly so the rock didn't dig in quite so sharply."I didn't think you'd want to let go," his tail flicked out, gesturing to this, to the Armada at large. To just relinquish something he'd worked much of his life for, Levi didn't understand, he wasn't sure if he ever could.

Gossamer finished her patrol out near the Mile-High Woods before she settled down for a drink from the stream. She was in something of a holding pattern while she waited for Vanta so she slipped back into her usual practices of patrolling and scouting for herbs. She raised her head as she heard her father calling out, announcing he was stepping down. Gossamer swiftly headed toward her father's call. There had been rumors that Sirius would be stepping down and at the ripe old age of 10 she certainly couldn't blame him. All that said, she had a hard time imagining the Armada without Sirius at its helm.
She arrived to see her father and Levi in conversation and she moved to join them, reaching out to gently bump her father's shoulder. "I wondered when this day would come. What do you plan to do now?"

The day has finally come when Sirius issues the call, announcing his retirement for all of the pack to hear. Andromeda smiles softly to herself, knowing that this day had been on the horizon for some time. Wishing to be there to support both her father and her siblings as they digest the news, the woman quickly sets aside the star charts she had been working on and tidies up the observatory a bit before striking off down the mountain.
By the time she lays eyes on the Obelisk, Levi and Gossamer have already joined Sirius and she is swift to approach the little group. Tail gently waves behind her as Andy quietly joins them, offering smiles to Gossamer and Levi and bow of her head to her father. Seating herself on the fringes of the gathering, the young woman listens to what her father has to say while smiling softly at the group.
While this moment is bittersweet, it is also a luxury that not many wolves get in their lifetime… especially those with the title of ‘Warlord’. Yes, this will be a difficult transition but one that Sirius has earned a thousand times over.
Andy has an Eastern Chanting Goshawk named Aquila and two Snow Leopards named Leo and Gemini. They are always nearby.
