Raid Meeting!
Standing on a raised portion of the moor that was large and flat enough to fit the group, she lifts her muzzle to the sky. Calliope lets loose a rippling howl of aggressive excitement. It was clear in her body language and expression that she was more than ready f or this.
“Alright everyone,” Calliope calls out as they approach. Once they’ve all gathered, she gives them a cheek to cheek grin. “We’re going to go pester Obscura and see what they’re all about,” she says snidely, her tail wagging quickly back and forth.
Warning: Calliope is callous, rude, and unpredictable. Do NOT expect nice things from her.
Tarnish stretched out in his treehouse, flinching as his neck popped. Ow…. he was basically fully recovered now but every so often his body felt a bit tight and inflexible. At least spring had arrived. Tarnish was looking forward to the warmer weather if not so much the humidity. The humidity could get fucked.
He rolled over onto his stomach and stood just as he heard Calliope call out. Oooo raid time? He certainly didn't want to miss this. Tarnish scrambled out of the tree house, shimmying down tail first and landing gracefully on the ground. He took off for the Moor and arrived to see his sister waiting. She stated they'd be going after a pack called Obscura.
"Oooo sounds like it's full of secrets. Maybe they have some potions or alcohol we can steal."

An excited, aggressive howl rings through the moor and Jack shakes free the memories of Rivin that cling heavily to his mind. Taking a calming breath, he grabs his cutlass and places his bandana on before giving a sharp whistle for his companions to join him. With long strides, the trio close the distance to where the raid meeting is taking place and he grins excitedly at the yearling leading the charge. Tail wiggles slightly as he hears the target and he eagerly asks, “Is this a friendly poke or can bring some flesh home with us?”
Calico Jack is ready to start getting some scars but none of his opponents had been eager to try and maim him. Such a shame.
Sakana had been helping her and, as of late, Sid had been feeling better. Not fully complete by any means, but better. Good enough at least that she felt comfortable joining the raid that Cal called for. Others had arrived before her, but Siduri had been in no hurry. She knew that Calliope would save a place for her on the raid roster. Sid was a Raider through and through and she had yet to miss a call to arms. Today wouldn't be any different.
The pastel marked fae moved to the front of the group and took a seat before her equally pastel sibling. One brow lifted and she shot Cal a mischievous grin. Their target would be a pack called Obscura. Sid hadn't heard of them yet. Jack asked if the raid was going to be friendly or bloody and Siduri shot him a sidelong glance. "Yes, let's immediately make another enemy before we even know what this new pack could offer." Her voice dripped with sarcasm. It was Calliope's choice, of course, but Sid wouldn't advise maiming them all just yet.

He took a seat in front of the white and purple mottled girl, and listened to what the young wolf had to say. She spoke of a pack called Obscura, which meant little to him. More things he needed to learn, but he would learn on the fly.
She was quick to head to the moor, noting that a pawful of wolves had already arrived. It looked like they weren't full on wolves who wanted to attend, which definitely pleased her. Giving Calliope a polite enough nod when she arrived - it wasn't like Kaija really cared for the young female, given how they'd first met - but she could overlook that in the name of the greater good. Wasn't like their rivalry really extended beyond that day anyway. She'd won that fight which was good enough for her to not dwell on the whole thing.
She spoke of a pack named Obscura, and Kaija's gears started turning. "Think anyone would mind if I go see what they're all about? Maybe sneak in and scout out the place?" Was that a good idea? Kaija wasn't so sure. She wasn't the sneakiest of wolves, so probably not, but she wasn't at all opposed to doing something stupid and seeing if she could get away with it. She was just cocky enough to think she could succeed.

Sparrow has a female Harlequin Macaw named Pongolo and a male Capuchin monkey named Friar, and a hairless mushroom tuxedo cat named Beef Sandwich. She also has cat claws... and some weird leg spike things.
Grouchily, she settled in with an undirected scowl. Well, at least she'd have a raid to take out her frustrations on, it seemed.
Upon his return from witnessing the birth of his pups, Scald was unsurprised by the call for a raid. What did surprise him was the one leading it. He approaches slowly, casually, brushing by Calico Jack in a friendly gesture before taking a seat off to the side. Scald watches the others around him, most being his younger siblings. It hurt to know they were so willing to harm themselves, but he supposed he had done the same at a young age. Such was the cycle of being a Raider. Letting out a sigh, he turns his attention to Calliope, dim interest in those heterochromatic orbs as he awaits to hear what she has to say. |
Calliope waits a tad impatiently. She had never truly learned what patience meant and that honestly was fine by her.
When Tarnish arrives, she meets him with a shit eating grin and an eager nod of her head. "Potions are definitely on the menu," she teases, shooting her brother a wink. Of course, her intel was minimal about Obscura as a whole, but gossip enjoyed spreading like wildfire.
Then comes Calico Jack and Siduri, Cal's gaze leveling with the two as they interact. "Siiiid, please, do you expect nothing less from our father's heathens?" Cal chides her pastel sister, teasing gaze turning malicious as she swivels to Jack. "We will approach as we always do. Friendly with no intent to seriously injure those we face, but please match their energy if any are feeling big in their britches," she addresses the growing group by the end of her sentence, ensuring to send Jack a wink as well. If the man wanted a piece of flesh to bring home, she wasn't going to stop him.
Next is her mother's guard, Kestrel, who she hardly knows, but deserved a salacious once over anyways. Handsome would be putting his appearance lightly.
Not long after is Kaija who Cal can't help but wrinkle her nose at in both a good and bad way. Her first memory of the woman isn't the best, but she admires Kaija for her fighting ability and personality. And now she was wanting to scout ahead? Cal's head cants to the side, contemplating the suggestion. "Sure!" Cal says after a beat. "Run along to the east. Obscura lies within Sunset Falls. Send back a companion if you find anything of interest," her grin doesn't falter as she nods to Kaija.
Then is itty bitty Navis who Cal is more than surprised to see. She had no idea her sister was even interested in fighting! Her tail wags happily, a smile shown to Navis before her attention is drawn to Sparrow. The old gal wanted a piece too? "Wonderful!" Cal chirps, tail wagging faster now as she looks to Sparrow and then away to the last two participants. Inferno and Scald, both who she didn't know much of, but would be welcome to join nonetheless.
"Everyone appears to be here so we're ready to set off! Reminder," her pastel eyes scan the group once more. "Match their energy. We only wanna poke them to see what they're all about. Lets not start an uproar just yet," Cal's cheeky grin lights her ivory lips as she turns to lead her first raiding group east toward Obscura.
Resource intending to obtain: "Potions" - healing/medicinal/herbs/plants etc.
Warning: Calliope is callous, rude, and unpredictable. Do NOT expect nice things from her.

As good as he was getting at rolling on his barrel, it wasn't always the most... efficient mode of transportation, especially not when you were practicing in the estuary and the call came from the moor. The girls went to fetch a fuller barrel as he dumped his practice one outside his den and they did their best to catch up to the others. Knowing Cal, she wouldn't hang around for long, and as it was, he saw the party moving out in the distance before he'd quite made it to them. The girls both barked to try and get the party to wait up, and began nudging his barrel along a little more aggressively, picking up the speed. He just had to hope he didn't wipe out any of their own in their attempt to catch up. "Oi!" he called out across the Moor, "Wait fer me!"
All he could do was try his best to catch them up.
