the cure - Wilder

Two jugs, half full, swing on either side of Ollie’s neck as he trudges through the warrens where the patients with hallucinations and sickness are housed. His paws were heavy, his tail dragging. His ribs showed through his haggard and ruffled dull white fur.
He leans against the doorway of Wilders room, close to the exit of the warrens. A light breeze carries fresh scents through the archway. He knocks. “Wilder? I have a medicine. It’ll help.” He calls into it. He had been to several patients already administering the concoction. Some called it a cure, but he didn’t have the energy to argue.

Rest did the soul good. Or so they kept telling him. Rest and recover before going back to work. It caused him to be restless and grumpy, but he did his best to handle it. The occasional drop by of Vesper to bring him food and what not helped a lot too. Stretched out across the thin furs he called a bed, his head lifted and ears turned when Oleander called from the doorway.
"Long as it won't kill me," Wilder muses back, a half-smile on his charcoal lips as he looks to the small healer. "Come in. I won't bite," he continues to lay on the furs, too comfortable to get up and be a good host. "Ya don't look so great yerself," the male comments as Oleander comes in.

Ollie silently slogs into the den. He thought he had chuckled half-heartedly but it seemed to have gotten lost on the way out his mouth. He grabs one of the clean cups nearby and sloshes the tea from one jug into it.
He stares at the cup of tea for a minute then at Wilder expecting him to say something back.
"Shit, I said that all in my head didn't I?" He said bringing his black padded paw to his face and dragging it forcefully over his nose with a sigh. Then dragged his wrist over his eye to rub it.
"All right, I'll try that again." He sighed, watching the tea again, "Nope, it won't kill ya, it should take away the hallucinations and chill the trembling quite a bit. It'll allow you to rest properly to fight this off. If you don't have hallucinations, then I really don't recommend taking it, because it'll give you some for a bit." Vesper was still sleeping her dose off. Vesper really like this guy, they seemed to have hit off before all this mess.
He glanced at Wilder after his speech, available if he had any questions. He couldn't help his eyes drooping and blinking slowly at the mossy male.
