Basilisk planned to get his kids started on the basics early. They were barely old enough to have left the den, but that didn't stop him planning. Even if they didn't wish to be fighters, he would ensure they all knew the basics of self defence. He set up in the Col, finding a semi private spot near the wall. The earth was soft with grass here, which would cushion their fall.
When he was ready, he let out a call. Letting it sound out across the warm day, summoning his kids. He let himself fall into a relaxed fighting stance. His balance centred around his core. Waiting to see who would arrive

Citadel had heard their father talking about their first fighting lesson and learning the stances. He was impatient for it to come about already, and kept his ear out for his father's call. When it came, he was off like a rocket. (A very wonky, unstable rocket) heading to the Col where their father had set up. Balrog had beaten him there and he playfully tugged at Bals shoulder with his teeth before settling in beside his golden brother.
He was impatient for things to begin, though he wasn't sure how learning to stand would benefit them. He already had a disadvantage there, and was afraid he would soon be watching his siblings develop their fighting abilities too fast and leaving him in the dust. Just like running.
