The walk up had been long, but Wake had been kind enough to carry the boy in his empty pack. Really, Tide had spent most of it asleep instead of enjoying the scenery. Loudly snoring in his brother's ear-- he's at his least annoying when he's passed out. Arriving to the hustle of the Col's market was an interesting sort of alarm clock, and Tide was still groggy during Wake's stern warning. It wasn't anything revolutionary or groundbreaking, and certainly wasn't anything Tide planned on heeding, so it didn't particularly matter if he'd heard it all or not. As soon as Wake disappears from view, Tide takes his little pouch of treasures and takes to exploring. Wild eyed and excited, fading into the small crowd that had gathered to do their shopping and trading. They set up shop in an area that seemed to be the saddle between two higher points, with a pretty well cordoned off district that was open to the public. Imagine, being allowed in public, with all this freedom? Bait boy is a literal kid in a candy store, walking the perimeter, mapping each of the stalls internally. Taking note of the ones that smell like sweets and the ones that smell like meats, but he'd take his lap first. Gotta see it all before he makes any kind of decisions. |

Citadel liked to spend some time in the market every now and then. The bustling sounds and different smells were always interesting. There were always different people about, and you never knew where they might be from. Or at least, he didn’t. His dad always seemed to have a clue.
He was trotting through the isles with some coats over his shoulder, helping out one of the pack members running a stall and almost missed the tiny pup moving the other direction. He looked at the coats for a moment, looked at the departing pup, and grinned. Dumping all but one coat on the ground beside one of the stalls. He might get growled at for that later, but right then he was more curious about the stranger.
He trotted off after them, his oversized paws easily allowing him to catch up. He dumped the coat - which was bigger than the small pup - over them and stopped, waiting to see what they would do. Trying to hold back a giggle as he watched.
