A Little Slice of Paradise.

Starchild found her way out west. A little bird had told her about a lovely oasis nestled in the middle of the vast, thirsty desert. It would do her well to know about such things. A reserve of water in an area where others might not dare to tread could be beneficial to the pack. In the event that something catastrophic took place and they had to flee, well... what better place to flee to than palms and cool water? The Dunamis fae had traveled across the seemingly endless sands under the cover of night, though night wasn't exactly normal these days. The sun had dropped, but the sky was still red. At least the sand wasn't scorching hot beneath her delicate pads and that was all that mattered. As the sun began to take its place in the sky once more, Starchild arrived at the oasis. A little sound of pleasure purred from her throat as she laid eyes upon the great pool of water. Sand gave way to soft grass. Bushes and palms littered the area, providing cover. In no real hurry, the striped woman padded down the sand dune and towards the water. Once there, her front legs folded and she brought her tongue downward to lap at the crisp liquid, slaking the thirst that she'd built up during her travels. The water was fresh and clean. Why had no one laid claim to this place? "Starchild"

he followed her for no good reason. 'shameful boy', his mother often said to him during his puppyhood. her bittiness ruined him, made him hallowed where his heart use to be. loving bombing zephyros after significant abuse- making him who he was today. did they all know who he was in the dark, unsupervised?
the young dunamis was freshly two-, an adult now. and his tendencies grew darker, more perverted as he increasily became interested in females. why was it that starchild rang such as sweeter perfume these days? intoxicating him during the meeting.. now this? tsk, tsk, tsk.. shouldn't have been alone out here.. not with zephyros around. and he had her all to himself for the first time, truly. watching her for some time behind a large palm tree on the opposite side of the blue pool, perched as his eyes traced over her sleek, untouched frame. her aversion stirring in him a more profound curiosity. the forbidden always made him yearn for it more. why was this bad? and why now after all these years? knowing her and always looking from a distance after all.. but tonight he would not only watch.
"Starchild." his guttural voice grumbled aloud. hoarse voice crashing in the still night as his hulking figure descended to pool's brink. his eyes unwavering and focused, fixated on star as she drank water. the sound of her gulping making his ears erect, and primally intrigued. "Érebos sent me to watch over you." he lied, deception one of his better games. daring to play part and get her comfortable.

As Star slaked her thirst, a cry from up above rang out over the oasis. Someone was close. A moment later, one pristine white ear swiveled to catch the sound of shifting sand. The warm desert breeze brought the familiar scent of Zephyros to delicate nares and Starchild canted her head just enough to fix one vibrant, icy eye upon her distant cousin. Droplets of water clung to the fae's lips and she gave them a swipe with a tactile tongue. Zephyros spoke, stating that Erebos had asked him to watch out for her. A soft huff ghosted through the fae's grey nose and she arched a slender brow. "Did he now?" Did Erebos not trust her to take care of herself? Sure, she wasn't a fighter by any means, but Star was clever and quick. She'd gotten herself out of many a situation simply by using her big ol' brain. If Zephyros had been sent to watch her, why had he not shown himself until now? Surely she wasn't so quick on her paws that he couldn't keep up as she crossed the tepid desert. "Well, now that you've seen that I'm just fine, you can be on your way." Not that she was dismissing him, she was simply letting him know that his mission was accomplished. Star planned to spend the day here, watching the comings and goings of the oasis to gauge just how active the place was. Was it only wildlife that came to enjoy the fruits of the place or did wolves come as well? "Starchild"

she asked a question he didn't intend to answer-, leaving it up in the air on purpose. letting her make sense of it all while he didn't care enough to fill in the blanks. no, not anymore. but she was seemingly quick to end their encounter far too soon. silly girl. it warranted a growl from him as his lips pressed, feeling a churn in his girth bubble up as he had no real plan for this. his body twitched then, muscles swelling with anticipation as his thoughts took the lead. and he let them surface. "I don't want to go." his reply was concise and rigid. his jowls loosely opened as he tasted the salty air while his wet nose flared. vermilion gaze reflecting a certain hunger in them as he never stopped looking at her feminine face. she was the perfect brand in the dunamis standard & terms. he knew that the moment they met as pups.
his gaze fetched to her birds then for a brief moment, pondering on how fast they'd get back to Érebos about this encounter. too far in, too close to the taste of it- he couldn't stop now. not while his fantasy laid tangible before his eyes. "Do you hate to be touch by only wolves? Or can other animals touch you?" a question of relevancy, really. wanting to know more about the food he was about to consume. "Staying here tonight, then? I think I'll stay too." he invited himself, suddenly stepping toward her and into the pool as the water rose around his bulky frame. "Come on in, star. waters nice." an attempt to persuade her, coaxing the beautiful flower into a trap before taking her. drowning her came to mind for a moment, flaring in his mind's eye as he imagined how this would go. her sweet flails and screams to far way for anyone to hear. she had a choice and it would go either way. zephyros had done worse things. she would die today if she would not allow what he intended to do.

Zeph claimed that he didn't wish to leave and the growl in his voice ticked a little switch in Star's mind. Danger. She might possibly be in danger. Cyan eyes narrowed slightly as she watched the large man. Would he dare risk Erebos' anger? She doubted that he was clever enough to erase all evidence of a crime, even if he did away with her. From up above, Merlin called out again, this time his scream was questioning. Perhaps the falcon had noticed the sudden rigidity of his mistresses form.
The question that followed was one that brought Starchild's gaze to narrowing further. "I don't like being touched by anything." Surely he should know that. From behind, a guttural, screaming snarl rang out as Dundee, her Tasmanian devil, caught himself some breakfast. She had assistance here if needed and Zephyros would surely realize that.
As the black and white brute stepped towards her, Star reflexively leaned away, her body going rigid. Within her slender rib cage, the woman's heart began thumping furiously. Thankfully, her cousin didn't touch her. Instead, he moved out into the water, claiming that he would be staying as well. "I'm staying to work," she informed him in clear tones. Though she was small and she wasn't a fighter, Starchild wasn't a pushover. She was a Dunamis, after all, and she knew her worth. She would bow down to Erebos as the head of their clan, but she would bow down to no other in these lands.
An invitation was given and the black and white fae scoffed lightly. Did he think she was some stupid commoner, ready to just obey at the first order? Zephyros moved out into the water and Star stood her ground. "No, thank you," her tones were crisp and clipped. Zeph had always been edgy, unpredictable, but this was something new. He'd never directed his attention towards her before. Star took a few steps back from the waters edge, then turned, keeping her side towards the bank for several steps as she moved off towards the foliage of the oasis.

staying to work but off so soon? why? he felt his body jerk forward suddenly, wanting to go after her with the instinct of a feral dog but he calms his body down, not wanting to set off prematurely. she watches him for a moment or two as she took steps further away from the pool, and from him. & there he sat alone in the water, chin tucking as he silently watched starchild with a stoic, blank expression on his face- waiting for the moment she would turn her back to him. and within the midst of it all.. there had been a moment of consciousness in between this very moment, before he'd do the unthinkable tonight. a space in time, slowed and deliberate as he envisioned his decision & it's potential consequences. and it was not his desires that made him bad as nike said. no, no... it was the fact that zephyros dunamis could still choose to do bad even after the initial flares of guilt that faded over his mind. flooding him as he stood fortified within the scene, faithful to it even. all of it concealed in that mind of his, ticking like bomb as the climax approached.
and just like that, with just a blink, zephyros offset towards her. the splashing of water minimum as he practically lunged over the brink of the pool and onto the sand with ease- his body taut & swiveling with abundant muscle as the machine went off with accelerated speed. his momentum loading fast as he chased her with full blown quickness & eagerness. zeph's strong arms would reach for his cousin's body and his jaws parted as he attempted to grab her by the scruff, wanting to pin her down and secure his prize.
by then, a fleeting sense of panic filled his girth; what if she got away?- it all causing his chest to tighten for a moment as his pupils dilated on her; incredibly aroused with the mere potential of finally touching her and ruining the beautiful flower all at once. there was no going back now. fuck it.

As Star padded silently away, a little bark of warning sounded and she saw Dundee peering out of the brush, his beady little eyes filled with anger. Barely half a second later, she heard the loud splashing of her cousin exiting the water. He didn't even shake the excess water from his coat before he was after her. There was a madness in his eyes that struck fear into Star's gut. Was he crazy?
The smaller wolf turned back towards the greenery, hoping to lose herself in it before her cousin could capture her. If she thought her heart had been beating hard before, now it was slamming itself against her rib cage like a trapped bird. Gods, this wasn't happening!
And then... he touched her.
As though impaled upon a spike of ice, freezing cold fear unlike anything that Starchild could explain, slammed through her. Reflexively, she released a sound of terror and began to beg, "No, please!" Stars tail tucked between her legs, holding firm against her belly as she managed to avoid the majority of Zeph's attack thanks to her smaller stature and speed. The Dunamis woman spun, facing her attacker. Jaws parted as she panted harshly from utter and complete fear. Her cyan eyes were open wide, panicked, terrified. She continued to back towards the treeline, still hoping to get away.
