Selene limped through the Col. An uncharacteristic scowl of pain on her face. She wasn't gonna cry. She wasn't. She wasn't gonna cry. She wasn't a crybaby! Selene limped and hobbled up the stairway toward her den. She didn't wanna see Ollie, he was all condescending and trying to be too cool with the kids lately. And she didn't wanna show her mama either she'd get all fussy about it and then snap at her if it still hurt and she got distracted.

Sniffing back tears of pain and shame the princess nosed open a doorway looking for their new Songbird. Why was she called a songbird? Did she have a nice voice?

She couldn't scent any recent smells of her parents but did smell the yummy smells of Teegra's cooking!

"Teega?" Selene called into the den where Teegra was tidying and preparing their dinner. Things her mama had done for a while.

She limped inside looking for the small foxy wolf. It was nice to have someone closer to her own size.

"Selene"

She was kept busy as hell most days. If she wasn't cooking and cleaning, she was running herself ragged trying to learn everything she could. Not that it felt like that learning was going anywhere. She really should see Ollie for more herbal training as well. But was he too busy with Vesper? Maybe she should ask if they had another healer that wasn't so overwhelmed or maybe see if she could trade in on a herbal remedy book for her to learn with. Of course books weren't as good as first hand, but at least she would be able to do something about learning that way.

Her ear twitched as the door opened. She was pulling some fresh sweet buns out of the oven. Her jaws grasping the handle cover and the handle as she moved them to the counter. A glance told her it was the smallest one, Selene. Shit. Was she about to be harassed like when Citadel came looking for her? As soon as the buns were safely on the counter she turned with a deep inhale. "Yes? Master Selene right?" She watched as the girl limped inside, shit. She was gonna get blamed for something wasn't she. Right as she thought she had the warlord and consort actually enjoying having her around. She moved with her own limp back towards where she had the book she was using to cook from and her bowl of icing. Might as well get these iced before Selene distracted her too much.
