MANDATORY Dunamis family meeting
─
it was as if the brute never slept a day in his life-, moving with life and changing like the seasons. always taking care of something and sustaining his family religiously. by next season, Érebos would have been present in Boreas for a year. and his evolvement was both evident and tangible. in a large and spacious room at the far end of the gorge herself, sat the patriarch of the dunamis family. the royals that invaded boreas like a wave, one after the other showing up as they were sent from their home, Cyprus. the family was fortified together, dutiful and formidable. no doubt others would see and ask who they were in due time as they swelled in numbers. practically taking up a good portion of insomnia as is; a part of him thankful for such an understanding wife. sharing her resources with his clan members.
but things were growing outdated. and with such a growing clan, Érebos knew it was time to reinforce status quo amongst other things. slipping up was not tolerated, nor was any kind of disobedience in their time under the reign of Érebos Dunamis. He would see to it that everyone who took their name upheld it the way they were supposed to: structured and refined to perfection.
he calls them forth now with a powerful howl, echoing off the walls of the gorge as he patiently waits for the clan to arrive entirely. his face stoic and eyes heavy with intensity as he looked for them. expectant and watching for only so long.
ooc: Please post if you are a Dunamis clan member and any who are not, please refrain as this is an exclusive clan meeting regarding the family. Please post here before the 29th of October and get your wolves in.
Enyo moved through the familiar terrain of Whisperer's Gorge, her steps deliberate and silent. The rocky cliffs rose steeply on either side, casting jagged shadows across her path. The wind swept through the gorge, whistling its eerie tune, but she paid it no mind. Even the crimson skies above did not stir anxiety in the woman. Enyo’s thoughts were elsewhere, focused and sharp. Today, like so many times before, she would prove her worth. This time felt different. Her whole life was an uphill battle. Constantly trying to prove to the Elders that she was not just worthy of equality but to be revered as superior to some of the men.
She was better at being a man than most.
But today it seemed it would finally pay off.
Her muscular frame moved with calculated ease, the rugged terrain offering no challenge to her thick limbs and broad shoulders. Her head was held high, her eyes glowed with the determination and pride that defined her. Her daedric armor shimmered faintly under the red glow of the sky.
The Dunamis were superior and she, in all her arrogance and ambition, embodied everything that made them great. Her brother, Erebros, might be the Patriarch, but she knew her value. The strength she brought to their family and the power she wielded.
She had arrived early, driven by anticipation for the meeting that would soon unfold. Erebros was already there, standing tall. He was the only male she truly respected, and she was closer to him than to any of their siblings. She understood him, perhaps better than any of their siblings, recognizing in him the same ambition that flickered within her. Their connection was strong, forged in the fires of their upbringing. A childhood where both had been expected to rise above, to stand as pillars of strength for their family. The bond between them needed no words, no gestures. She knew he trusted her, just as she trusted him.
"Brother," she greeted, her voice low and steady. Enyo would take her place below and face him where the others would soon gather beside her. Her gaze remained steady, expression neutral. She stood at attention, embodying the essence of a warrior ready to heed her leader's call.

"Erebos, Enyo" His vocals play out, as he looked around for the others, but no sight of them as of yet. Wondering just how soon the others would arrive. His tail dance around his mass. They both were standing tall with one another, as he came to stand near his sister. Without word, without movement. Like a predator stalking.
Star had been doing her due diligence, learning the lay of the lands surrounding Insomnia first, then branching out to other areas. While others of the Dunamis family were more suited to brute force, Starchild was more tactical, working behind the scenes to achieve her goals. That was how she liked it. Though she loved her family, the striped fae did her best when left to her own devices. Thankfully, Erebos understood this and gave her the freedom required.
Her cousin's call cut through the stillness of the Gorge just as Star was returning from a journey. She took a moment to wash the dust from her paws, get a drink, and then moved towards the wider space where the meeting would take place. Enyo was already there and Starchild nodded to her before moving up to the front of the group, not in the least bit shy about sitting at the head of the class. Atticus arrived a moment later, moving to sit beside his sister. Star nodded to him as well.
Long legs slid forward and Star lay on her belly, resting on her delicate rib cage. The woman's cyan gaze was all for Erebos. What information would he have for them? Was it finally time to claim what they all knew was theirs?
As she waited for their patriarch to speak, blue eyes moved this way and that, inspecting their surroundings. The gorge itself was a standard place full of winding paths and rocks. There were caves and whatnot with very little greenery in this particular part. Thankfully a decent breeze blew through the gorge or else she imagined the place might smell rather dry and musty.
She is always accompanied by a peregrine falcon named Merlin and a very nasty Tasmanian devil named Dundee who will bite you.
Alexandra was at ease with her new home now, already adjusted and working her way into it. Doing what she sought was best, hunting, crafting and more activities to help the pack somehow. She was not a fighter like the rest, so she compensated it with her own skill sets, and do so perfectly. The Dunamis only knew perfection on whatever they did, and Alexandra was no exception to the rule. When a meeting was issued by Erebos, she was quick on her paws, finding a few others. All familiar in a way. Though from all who were there, her eyes fell heavier upon Star, her sister. Quietly and knowing of her condition she lied down next to her avoiding any physical contact. She could be seen as mean but with her sister she was not, always there to respect her and care for her. |
Unsettled, despite the fact that he's allowed to be here. Stiff where he stands at the back of the meeting, though he offers Érebos eye contact, a nod. It's time for business, and that's what Viktor is, for now. All business. There was work to be done, and he's eager to take on the next project.

he was not happy to be pulled from his slumber. not happy with at all but he knew better than to ignore it. the muscular male then slowly hitched his body upwards from his previous lay. he yawned then, shaking his pelt free of debris and dust as he started on his way, padding to the patriarch as they did.
the large wolf neared in no time, his dual toned eyes finding the family gathered in a spacious room at the far end of the gorge. Zephyros sent a glance towards Érebos then quickly diverted his gaze to the ground to show submission- an act he knew his patriarch was looking for in the subtle moments inbetween interactions. zeph would then come to sit at outskirts of the group, offering not a word to anyone as he waited for the others to come. 'where the fuck were the rest?,' he thought, ear flickering to fan off his annoyance as his eyes darted around the room with blazing contempt.
He had not been in Insomnia long, but he already wasn't fond of the location. The pack itself and everyone seemed nice enough, but he would much prefer anywhere else but the desert plains. He'd seen many places on his journey here and hoped that they would settle some place warm and tropical, or at least forested... but Insomnia was nothing like that! He supposed that the gorge was alright and he had already found a den and made it his own, but he couldn't help but dream of the places he had been, and those he had been with.
The call from Big Daddy himself hadn't woken him exactly, but he certainly hadn't gotten out of bed yet. With a heavy sigh he rolled out of the plush furs and made his way through the gorge until settling amongst the gathering of siblings and cousins. He was certain that his arrival wouldn't go unnoticed, so he stayed silent for now. But knowing Genesis, his mouth wouldn't be shut for long.

first to show was enyo, giving a promising lead for what was to come. her essence was strong and solid. reliable as she showed up on time and with assertion- a mix he always knew his sister by. it was no wonder that they were littermates. and then his eyes fell over the familiar face of Atticus- the most regal of them all coming to join and share his time with Érebos. & for that, he was thankful for, finding Atticus to be responsible and thorough in all instances. a nod was given to both siblings as he continued to look over the gorge's entry point, his left toes tapping the stony floor for a few seconds as he waited for the rest to roll in.
he counted the heads as they grew after some moments, watching them all gather around as he sat poised in the center upon a rock throne. star sat in the front, never afraid to show her god complex to the world around her. and he adored it- admiring the intensities and power that practically seeped from each and everyone one of these bodies. the dunamis were growing in boreas and no one could stop it.
Érebos noticed then when zephyros entered, their eyes meeting for a moment as he gave yet another nod. but his eyes flickered to genesis now as they walked in last. silent and present nonetheless. good. but suddenly, a low rumbling growl emitted deep from within the patriarch's girth while he assessed them all for a moment before returning his narrowed glare back to genesis. "Dont be late again, γένεση(genesis)." his thick accented voice vibrated in the air, crashing into the atmosphere. that was all that was said towards the tardy male.. for now.
his eyes then turned to the rest of the clan as they waited for what was to come next. "Thank you all for coming. I have called our clan meeting to reacquaint you all with what is expected from each of you, and to share some news of change." his voice was deep. "To make you all aware, my pups will be born in a matter of days. Medusa's pregnancy has been well and fast. We hope for a large litter." he sighed before diving in further. "Medusa, my mate, will be officially marrying me and joining the clan as my wife & our Dunamis matriarch as per tradition." his view skipped over to enyo, about to announce her own involvement. "As spoken to prior, I have decided to give enyo an opportunity to lead a band." he looked at them all now. "You will all follow her lead as I have directed. And you will not challenge it." his baritone voice was concise, rigid and inflexible. there was no room for disagreement. streaks of his tyranny evident as it began to swell into vibrant color. "That being said, I am now taking over as Insomnia's alpha. I am equal in terms of power and influence pack wise to Medusa. I know this is not the norm for our kind, but rest assured I know what I am doing." the proof was tangible.
his tail whipped, waiting for questions before continuing. "insomnia is filled to the brim. With my children arriving, I cannot risk their vitality by over sharing resources we simply do not have yet." his gaze hardened, knowing his family would understand the necessity of it all. "Aventis is the band we will create and gather in. holding us there until I take what is destined to be ours." it was a drastic change, but they all needed to keep up with it. dunamis were an active bunch, always advancing in every way they could. "Now, to discuss some things I expect from you all..," he drew in a sharp inhale before adding, "All of you are to present yourselves in a manner that is high and deserving of the Dunamis name. Trust no outsiders and do not take it upon yourselves to attain a thing from powerful figures of any kind. That is my job and mine only. Make a fool out of yourselves, you make a fool of me." he sneered past his cavernous teeth, clenching his jowls as he watched them all with an intense, critical gaze. studying them as he spoke, ensuring everyone paid adequate attention.
his body tensed some, nose flaring as he finished for a moment. "καταλαβαίνετε όλοι;(Do you all understand?)" he knew they did, but he needed to hear it.
ooc: consider Kronos is already present please. Next round is due by Nov 2nd.
Alex came to lay beside her and Star flashed the fae a smile and nod. Erebos began to speak and pale ears shifted, catching every word. The big man laid out a plethora of necessary information to the group and Star found some of it quite interesting. It seemed as though he'd chosen Enyo to lead a band of Dunamis wolves to make room for the future children of himself and Medusa. It made sense to Star. She would do as he asked her to, she only hoped that Enyo would be as... accommodating... to her issue as Erebos was.
Once he was finished speaking, Erebos asked if they understood. Star waited for their gazes to meet and she gave the black and white man a nod of acceptance. She did indeed understand.
Another gentle breeze blew through the caverns, seeming to whistle and sing as it danced among the stalactites and stalagmites. Once the meeting was over, she planned to tread deeper into the winding passageways. Ears perked as she caught the sound of water dripping from the ceiling to land in various puddled throughout the place. Mmm, she quite liked it here.
She is always accompanied by a peregrine falcon named Merlin and a very nasty Tasmanian devil named Dundee who will bite you.
Enyo listened intently as Erebros addressed the family. She held her position with unwavering attention, her muscular frame rigid and head held high. This was the moment she’d anticipated. The announcement of her command, of her chance to lead. Her brother’s words only amplified her pride. It was all finally within reach, and there was no doubt in her mind. She was ready to show the world the strength of the Dunamis bloodline.
As Erebros’ announcement carried through the gorge she felt the weight of the gaze from her family members as her brother declared her role. Declaring that her authority could not be challenged. It was a moment she had fought and bled for. An earned distinction in a family where rank was more often claimed by blood than by right. She stood taller, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction, flicking briefly over her kin. The thought of leading Aventis filled her with a fiery resolve, stoked by years of silent ambition.
When Erebros spoke of his impending marriage and his role as Insomnia’s new Alpha, Enyo could feel the electricity of change crackling in the air around her. Everything was falling into place. They were growing stronger, amassing power that would secure their legacy. She understood the necessity to support her brother’s ambitions. Their family mission.
As Erebros concluded with the charge that each of them must uphold the dignity and stature of their family name, Enyo dipped her head slightly in a show of obedience and understanding. She knew the expectations intimately. Such things had been ingrained and beat into her from the beginning. Yet, unlike the others, she bore the weight with pride and an eagerness that few could match.
At Erebros’ final question, Enyo lifted her gaze and replied, her voice low but carrying with the steady confidence of one who already accepted her place in his plans, "Yes, brother. We will uphold the Dunamis name, with all the strength and ruthlessness it deserves."

with everyone finally rolled in, zephyros listened as Érebos spoke his announcements. a band? led by a woman? he flared his nose, silent otherwise as he felt his blood boil at the thought. where were their values?! his fur bristled as his brows furrowed, a look of stern anger as he kept his eyes off enyo for the time being. hating her reply to the news just as much. was Érebos really letting this happened? They'd need a word sooner or later. and when all was said & done, zephyros kept his gaze low with a pensive face, conflicted but conforming to the patriarch nevertheless. his jowls clenched before he spat out, "σε καταλαβαινω(I understand)." nothing else he could mutter but that as he hitched himself from his seat to exit the meeting. he had to let off some steam. enyo wasn't fit for this.. Érebos would see. he betted on her betrayal once she got a taste of what it felt like to matter.
Speech concluded, he rests over his hocks. Grounding himself, as he takes in the information given. The band, the progression, the warning. "Understood." Unflinching, unblinking. Most of the news isn't new, after all.

kind of an M post >>;
Late? No one was even fucking talking when he made his entrance so how was he late? Genesis quietly scowled and rolled his eyes behind closed lids as he sighed, but gave Erebos his full attention otherwise. Enyo would be leading a band, it seemed. Good for her. If Erebos was letting the women take lead then that just meant less expected of him, right? Sure he still had to uphold the family name and that was fine, but less expectations meant more fun, and he very much liked having fun. Perhaps he would seek some out tonight, after this meeting, though where there any men in Insomnia willing to spend the night with him? He doubted it and went back to listening.
Glancing around to the others, noticing how Zaddy seemed annoyed at the news of Enyo having any real power. He smirked, wondering if he could take advantage of his brothers annoyed state later. Any kind of fun would do after all, even if it didn't end with him wrapped up in the arms of another. Not that he would mind, anyway, having his blood drawn was a different yet similar kind of rush. Then he might not need another man for the night, the pleasure within the pain perhaps being just enough to satiate his needs.

The call for a family meeting, and they were all quick to answer like flies on honey. Kronos arrived just in time, gaze falling on faces he hadn't seen in some time. It was refreshing, really, to know that the others were eventually making their way to Boreas to join them. He nodded quietly to himself in satisfaction as he sat back against a wall and waited for Erebos to begin speaking. His own pale gaze subtly shifted from face to face, body to body, as he observed those gathered. Zephyros, of course, never seemed very happy. Though Kronos could understand why, it wasn't up to them what the family did.
Finally, Erebos would speak. Telling them that Enyo would be running a band so the Dunamis wouldn't take too much resource from the pack as it was quickly starting to spill over in population. The pups that he and Medusa were having soon. His role as a leader beside Medusa. Things he knew or had a feeling would happen of course, but it was always good to ensure everyone was on the same page. He of course, already knew what they were in Boreas for and had heard the lecture a thousand times over, so while he didn't tune it out, he returned to his observations of the others, though his gaze lingered more on Zeph once again as he noticed the discontent with the male. Alas, nothing the boy could do about it probably. But who knew, fate had a funny way with things.
Once everyone had agreed to Erebos' word, Starchild rose, moved past her cousin with a smile and a wink, then made her way into the tunnels, the shadows of their depths swallowing the slender woman whole. She followed one of the pathways into the dark, allowing her nose to lead the way. Star could smell the stench of wolverine and bear in the channels branching off. She surmised that these were the channels with paths to the surface. Otherwise why would creatures such as these go all the way through the paths of tunnels? Star spend the next few hours within, skirting bears and other things alike. An interesting place.
