He didn't particularly like this place very much. Now that it was spring, it was muddy and foggy, making it that much harder to get around. Atoll trudged through the fog begrudgingly, as if he was being punished. Getting dirty was kind of a punishment, after all, but he had liked the look of those strange rocks he'd seen when him and Boggy had raced across the Moor. They sure were interesting. His only problem was, now that he was back here, all he saw was a whole lot of mud and heather and not a lot of Cool Rocks. Huffing angrily to himself, Atoll scrabbled up a small rise in the land that broke through the low-lying fog. Ah! There in the distance he could see the ring of stones, but the minute he got back to ground level, the fog ate them up again.
"What the heck..." he groaned, rolling his eyes and trudging back up the little hillock until he could see the stones again. Atoll locked eyes with them, squinting to make sure he fixed his memory on their general direction. Right... there! Yep, got 'em. He skittered down the hill, mud flying out from beneath him and spattering the heather as he made his way towards the rocks. After a few yards the fog succeeded in disorienting him again and Atoll found another little hill to climb up on and get his bearings. This would be a lot easier if he were taller, but it would be a few months yet before he'd be able to see easily over the fog.
He crested another, closer hill and groaned when he noticed he'd gotten somewhat closer to the rocks but significantly further to the right. Stay still, ya stupid fuckin' rocks! Atoll stared at them again very hard, willing them to remain in place, then dipped back into the fog and scampered in what he thought was the right direction. A little further... just a little further... His excitement grew. Maybe there was some secret treasure in the center, and that's why they were arranged in a circle! Surely other Raiders would find something like that by now, but maybe he would be the first. Atoll ran at speed now, occasionally hopping up on another rise in the land until he was just a stone's throw away from the rocks. With a cheer, he ran straight towards them, narrowly missing scraping himself alongside one as he ran into the center of the rocks and hopped in a little, self-congratulatory circle.
