It probably hadn't been the best decision looking back at it now as he made his way through the Seracian border towards the heart of the territory. He hadn't told anyone of his disappearance, which probably wasn't such a smart idea, but he hadn't wanted to worry anyone. He hadn't gotten gravely ill after returning from the water, his wounds having gotten infected. His illness bounced back and forth between high fevers and hullucinations and he couldn't be around his family in that state. So the grey and black brute had taken off, into the rogue lands, to find himself a lonely cave to settle down to hopefully see this illness through or perhaps die a lonely death. Lucky for him, he had managed to pull through. He had spend a few extra days away to make sure that the illness was really gone and now sure that it was, he was coming back.
To a new pack. Well not new, just different leadership. A leader he would've never pictured. Surprise was evident in his features as he quietly padded his way to the meeting, careful to stay to the edges of the meeting, golden gaze finding Loccian's figure easily. She was at the head of the pack, in the spot where King Maverick usually was; what had happened? Crown was kept low, tail glued to his hocks, ears folded back as he took a seat at the very back, his roaming gaze glancing over a familiar silver form; Pacifica. Oh Pacifica...he had left the poor girl after she'd greeted him from the war. Did she hate him? He hoped not...the feelings he had for her had grown ten-fold and he was finally ready to confess to her...that is if his sister didn't beat him into a pulp first.
Talk like this

Nako shifted from where he sat eyeing with mismatched eye the treeline past the exposed and unseen border, a weak gust of wind molding over his back and causing his feathers to bounce and twist along his cheeks. Jakart was next to him, the somewhat smaller pup looking up at his half-brother. The bastard pup had explored all of Seracia that interested him. And a feeling, a pull of sorts, wanted him to go outside of pack boundaries to see what was beyond. Not now though. It was too soon in his life with his set of developing skills, he needed to learn more. And with Chief Loccian having called them all together with a howl a few moments before this moment in time he'd have to wait a little bit longer. Them all... all of Seracia. Nako still didn't quite feel right being in this land of laws and structure.
Bane had said a word once before he was banished. Wanderlust. A desire to see what was over the the next hill basically. Jakart gave a nudge against his shoulder and a whine, Nako looking down with a quizzical frown creasing his muzzle. "Looks like dad isn't watching from the trees today is he? Lets go the the meeting. Don't wanna be late." Jakart said something but the half-Seracian didn't care at the moment, the two brothers starting their short run towards the barn. Both of the young males, with Nako constanly checking the entire way to make sure that Jakart hadn't fallen behind, crossed under the arch of the barn. And with his adopted mother quickly sniffed out amidst all the Seracian wolves the oldest of the two males took his seat next to Tahlia too await Chief Loccian's words.

Ara, a girl who was normally dutiful to the core, was running late. Since her father's return from being held captive, she had been unusually flighty and distractable. While her father had never been overly expressive, she noted that something had changed since his return. He seemed a bit more down. Sad, almost. And for Ara, always the logical thinker, the answer was to find a cure. She had given him the rest of her wilted store of lavender, instructing him to chew the leaves but never to swallow them; she had found him juniper berries and let him eat them only when he felt pain in his joints; and she was searching for a plant that might help him sleep better at night and give him pleasant dreams. For this young girl, herbs were the solution to everything -- for all of life's problems.
Perhaps her rigid dedication to her chosen path might someday be her downfall, but for now there was no pulling her away from it. She had moved her small store of herbs away from her family's den -- it really was getting too small for everyone -- into a hiding place that she was certain no one would find. She was just organizing them when she heard the Queen's call. She would hurry and finish her task before responding to the call, heading toward the gathering. Loccian was a lovely woman, one of the few adults outside of her family that she had met. She was her mentor, too, and she was happy she was Queen of the Kingdom. Happily she would come to sit between her parents, smiling slightly as she directed her blue gaze to the Queen and her family.
