A day of Exploring

Maki moo wasn’t sure how long her family were gonna stay here, but she liked the thought of forever. Granpappy had even given them their own rooms, made them feel so welcome even her Daddy had said a time or two that: he could get used to this. The adults all really liked the hot pool of water for some reason, that and the smelly drinks they said Maki was too young to drink yet.

The weather was too nice to stay huddled up in the caves though, the sky clear and the snow sparse under paw. It was the perfect day to explore, right? Certainly when her mismatched eyes spotted what could be a friend leaping about, feathered wings spread wide, looking entirely in his element.

Maki had once asked her sister if wolves could fly, now she was starting to feel like her sister was a big fat liar. If there was a wolf who ever could, it’d be this one right?

Unable to rein in her excitement, Maki scrambled over the rocks, stumbling and tripping over her own paws in her attempt to get over as quickly as possible. He was an Armada wolf, so he was a friend, surely. Those were the rules.

“Ohmigoshh.” Maki panted, tail wagging in a grey blur as she called out to the young boy. He was younger than her so she had to be nice, teach him stuff cause she was older. That was the pup law. “Hiii!!”
