Please, Please, Please! Don't Leave Me!

Thankfully, Bay is in his den, gathering tools together to do… something. The smile that spreads across his face has one blooming across her own features and a giggle bubbles out at the way his tail fur suddenly becomes a blur behind him. His words make her giggle again and she quickly moves inside to offer her paws in help him gather anything else he might need. Once he has everything that, Haydée looks to him and slowly begins, “Bay, since you came to Ethne… well, life has been so much better. You have been super helpful and a great member of the pack.” However, he wasn’t a member. Not just yet.

The smile falters but her tail slowly begins to wag behind her as she admits, “I don’t want you to go. In fact, I wake up afraid that might you have already left. So, I am formally going to ask that you do not go.” The smile grows once more and she says, “Bay, I want you to become a full member of Ethne. Will you please stay?” She rushes out the last part because she feels her confidence fading and, if she doesn’t say it now, she never will. Breathing hitches as she waits for his response, afraid that he will say no while secretly hoping that he will say yes.
