“Cool!” he said as she explained that everyone in the pack used them. It must get super busy here, in that case! He wondered how often he could camp out by the rings, and watch wolves fight. That sounded thrilling. At her invitation, he was in the ring in moments. Did the sand feel different on this side? He fancied it must. This was the cool side of the ropes, right?

He listened carefully as Andy explained the defences to him. He had some idea of them, but it was good to hear them from different wolves. He watched with interest as she moved her own body into position. After a moment, he mimicked her. Letting his knees bend, his paws spread. His wings he fluttered out on either side of him. “Like this, Auntie?” He asked eagerly.
