Sirius was pretty obsessed with his grandfather's Bear companion. Ever since finding the Polar bear, who was still on the mend and in Halo’s care, he felt like he wanted to learn more about them. So he chose the Bear as his companion any time he wanted to leave the woods. She was very accommodating and nothing seemed to phase her. Today. He had decided to make his way to the beach. He was poking his head in the fishing huts with curiosity, when he found one of the training rings set up along the beach. He padded over to the stringed off area, and pulled at the string with one paw. He looked about himself for a wolf around, perhaps someone could explain to him why this area was sectioned off. Didn’t it mean he wasn’t allowed to cross? "Speech"

Fall is in the air and the rapidly cooling air is met with excitement from Andy. Soon she would be raiding with her father, rushing into the Pirate’s land to show them who they are. A smile is on her lips as she meanders along the beach, heading toward the roped off training rings to get some extra practice in before the raid. Her companions are with her and Leo mewls softly, alerting her to the fact that Bear is ahead of them with a small, winged pup.

The smile grows as she easily glides toward the curious boy, coming to a stop effortlessly beside him. Pale blue eyes look down at Wylan with love as she softly greets him, “Hello Wylan. I am your aunt, Andy. I met you when you were really small.” It feels strange, introducing herself to him after seeing him as barely a bean but she is quick to turn her attention to the ring. Lifting an eyebrow, she says, “I see you found the training rings! This is where the fighters come to practice their stances, attacks, and even spar each other.”

With that, she steps over the rope, Leo and Gemini quickly bounding over the boundary to join her. She moves to the center of the ring before turning to face the pup. The smile widens as she lifts a paw toward him and, with a flick of a wrist, she invites Wylan into the ring while she says, “You ready to see what the Fatalis’s were born to do?”


"Andromeda Fatalis"

Wylan vaguely recognised the purple wolf that appeared while he was looking around. There had been so many wolves that had come to peek in on them when they had been tiny and in the den, so it was hard to keep track. He was glad when she introduced herself, and he wagged his tail at her happily. “Auntie Andy!” He said in way of greeting. He didn’t even need to ask about the weird area in front of him. As if anticipating the curiosity of a pup, she launched into an explanation. “Do you use these rings, Auntie?” He asked with wide eyes. That sounded rather fantastic. Would he be able to watch some of the adults fight? Oh, oh! Even better, he would get to participate! He wiggled under the rope instead of attempting to go over them. There was a moment where he had to wiggle and flip his wing to untangle it - he had forgotten to lower them before going under - and then he was there. “I’m ready! Now what?” he asked her. Wiggling his butt and bending his forelegs down in the traditional ‘play’ pose "Speech"

The winged boy looks so much like her brother and his eagerness to learn has a smile growing on the girl’s lips. His wagging tail and happy greeting has Andy chuckling softly as she looks to the roped off area and explains what they are for. At his question, the girl turns her pale blue gaze back to the pup and she bobs her head, saying, “Oh, yes. In fact, everyone in the pack uses them. Your grandpa makes sure of that.” Eyes dance with happiness as she thinks of her father and his decree that every Armada wolf at least know the basics of defense.

With that, she crosses the ropes, moving to the center of the ring and flicking her wrist in invitation as she asks if he is ready to learn. Of course, Wylan is ready and more than a little eager as he wiggles underneath the barrier to join her inside the training space. His word has her smile growing and he quickly dips down into a play bow. With a soft chuckle, she begins the lesson, “The first thing to know about fighting is how to defend yourself. And that means, mastering a defensive stance.”

With that, the girl spreads her paws shoulder width apart and centers her gravity, bending her knees and lowering herself. As Andy moves she explains, “First you will need a solid base to start from. Spread your paws until they are under your shoulders like so. Now, find your center, er… where you feel the most stable and won’t tip over. Now, bend your knees slightly.” She watches the boy, ready to offer pointers as he goes.



"Andromeda Fatalis"

“Cool!” he said as she explained that everyone in the pack used them. It must get super busy here, in that case! He wondered how often he could camp out by the rings, and watch wolves fight. That sounded thrilling. At her invitation, he was in the ring in moments. Did the sand feel different on this side? He fancied it must. This was the cool side of the ropes, right? He listened carefully as Andy explained the defences to him. He had some idea of them, but it was good to hear them from different wolves. He watched with interest as she moved her own body into position. After a moment, he mimicked her. Letting his knees bend, his paws spread. His wings he fluttered out on either side of him. “Like this, Auntie?” He asked eagerly. "Speech"
