Could Maki get any pinker? Clearly. She spluttered as her attempts to block of Delphi were in vain, her mismatched eyes drinking in the sight even as Maki tried to push her away in a last ditch effort to salvage this mess. Too late. Abandon ship. Set the whole house on fire and move to Mexico.

Maki spluttered, a jolt running down her spine like Delphi had just tasered her. Her words were equally as sharp and painful, the smug grin showing off Delphi's teeth in all their pointy glory. It wasn't that she outright minded people knowing about her stories, it was just it didn't feel good to get this kind of reaction. It was all new and foreign to her, and she was floundering, like she'd been tossed into the deep end and didn't even know how to doggy paddle.

"Delphi stop!" She protested, still doing the silly back and forth dance, trying to cut off her sister as if that would spare her at this point. "S'-s'not funny!" And she tried her hardest to sound stern and serious, but frankly she didn't have that in her. Some people have shiny silver spines and Maki's was a dry noodle, only to get all floppy and limp at the slightest sign of discomfort.

And maybe she didn't know how to interact with boys, did Delphi really have to rub that in? In her imagination she thought she'd get along well with all of her characters. Or at least that's how all of her little scenarios usually went, self-indulgent fantasies she intended to keep to herself.
