Is this really who we are?

A lot was on Gilgamesh’s mind when Flurry’s call beckoned him across the waters. The fact that she was searching for him within the archipelago and not on the isle both concerned him and made him curious. Was she really not going to come all the way home for whatever it was she insisted on? Feeling rather sour due to a bunch of things, Gil took his time making his way over to her.

Swimming leisurely through the choppy spring waters, he could see her waiting for him on the shore. The expression on her face, even from this distance, didn’t appear pleased. He couldn’t hold back the sigh that left him as he made it to shore and shook out his coat. Another female out to yell at him, right? At least Flurry being his daughter meant he had some control over the outcome. Right?

Approaching the girl, he looks at his daughter, coming to a stop with an arched brow. “Flurry,” he says, tone flat and expression slightly pinched. Preparing for whatever was on her mind, he pulls himself into a sitting position and leaves the floor open for her.
