Nothing's New

Karaka was clever indeed. Her stance quickly taking on the missing aspects from Absinth’s own presentation of defenses. Good. Quick learner. That is an excellent trait to have, one that would serve her well throughout her life. So, as Absinth sized her opponent up, she noted the licking of lips and the toes that beckoned her attention. But the older girl was not to be taken for a fool so easily, her eyes sharply catching the explosive charge forward from Karaka. Her tactic would have worked if Absinth wasn’t paying close attention, and of course she was. She wanted to show off- give Karaka a better idea of who she was; and it wouldn’t hurt if she gleaned a few moves off her.

Given her size it was a pleasant surprise she was light on her feet, and Absinth appeared to brace for impact- however she reared back at the last possible moment and pivoted on one hind leg. Her upper body twisted to make contact with the ground again and regain her balance, immediately spinning to lunge at Raka from behind. Her goal was to come up on the side of the orange wolf and make purchase on the back of her nape with her teeth.
