Karaka

Absinth was torn between preserving the innocent nature of Karaka, and corrupting her. It was an internal struggle, one that reminded her of her childhood in some sense - if you could call that a childhood. When she could not make any choices for herself, when she was a cog in someone else’s design. A faceless figure among thousands in a crowd. But this girl was not like that. Untouched by cruelty. Oblivious to suffering. She was beautiful, open, willful, and that may have been far more dangerous. She wanted to keep Karaka close. Wanted to morph her into something… something that would never be powerless. A kindness, she justified to herself, one no one had bestowed on her when she was a yearling.
Could you call it kindness if what resulted turned out worse than the original path you tried to change?
Perhaps, if she let Raka be close. Let her follow. Let her know her… What? There were no happy endings. Did she even want a happy ending? No. She thought she'd much prefer leaving the world as she came into it. In a battle for life, fighting to take a breath. On the road there, why not have a hand in what this lovely girl became?
The answer Absinth had waited for would come. Karaka lamented the unknown factors of her decision, and that she still wanted to stay despite the warning given. At least for a little while. Ah. Her eyes closed, taking in a deep breath. She was having difficulty containing her thrill, that horrid excitement. That greedy part of her that always wanted more. Would she be capable of letting the girl go after, if she chose to leave in the end?
A problem for a later date. Absinth finally moved, the enticement of the horned girl’s attention at her chin getting a reaction all at once. The monochromatic fae invaded Raka’s space, claiming dominion over the girl with her taller standing position. Of course the second the orange girl chose to stand would mean Absinth getting dwarfed, but in a way that was its own… allure. So she took her time, her eyes tracing every curve of those adorned horns, her paw coming to bat at the stone which immortalized her memory again. Then, a wicked grin spread across her face, a seductive purr wrapping every word she spoke. “How.. many memories can one stone hold?” How many could they make? Her eyes dropped to Raka’s eyes, then her lips, those inviting things that beckoned more of her. Just like the owner of them.
