Humpty Dumpty had a great fall

Given the fact that her parents made their home in the near by woods she had actually spent a surprisingly low amount of time in the Col even though the bulk of their relatives had their dens here. The semi-recent flood certainly didn't help things when it came to giving her reasons to come into the caves, but now that things were mostly cleaned up and back to how they should be–and now that she was getting a little bigger and getting some more freedom to roam wherever she wanted within the pack lands–she was back to exploring the corridors and visiting the open market again. She still preferred the forests compared to the enclosed caves, but this wasn't too bad, she supposed.

She found a section of the winding cave system that branched off from the area where the market was held that had some spots along the wall where rock had broken off at one point in time. It made a rock formation that almost looked like a waterfall of ledges all the way down to the cave floor. It was kind of hard to tell if there was anything up at the top of the ledges from where she was standing so she let her curiosity get the better of her and she started to hop from ledge to ledge, scrambling up a few of the taller, steeper sections of rock–at least steep for a still growing pup. All was going swell until one of her paws slipped as she was trying to pull herself up onto the next section of rock. She tried to catch herself, but to no avail and she fell backward, rolling end over end back down over three or four of these narrow ridges of rock back down to where she started. "Owww," she grumbled as she tentatively started righting herself, wincing as she did so.
