Dreams that fade in fire

The Warlord made his way to the main meeting point of the Armada. With the familiar Obelisk beside him, and the warrens at his back. He let his eyes roam across the familiar plans of the Col. A part of him had never imagined he would reach this age. So much of his life had been spent as a Warrior. For others, for his pack, for himself. A part of him had died the day his Wife had. But here he stood, with old age peppering his muzzle.

One last battle.

He raised his head, and howled for the wolves of his pack, summoning to the Obelisk, and to his side. Today, they would raid. They would take themselves to Valta, and pit themselves against his son. He knew that Kotori would enjoy the challenge. His last raid would be against the Sumatar. He let his voice fade, and waited for his warriors to come.
