The bruiser wrenched his leg free of her grasp, sweeping for her outer hind leg with his foreleg as he rounds. Trying to knock her feet from beneath her, but hopefully slowly enough that it won't catch her too hard, too off guard. If he can help it, the yearling would try to stick close to his smaller (and slipperier) opponent.
