I've seen you before

Lia startled, stepping backwards in surprise at the sudden near-collision. As she did so, she looked at the wolf who had exited the den she had been poking her nose into. A spike of recognition jolted through her, but the wolf's name didn't immediately come to mind.


She blushed, dipping down to grab the herbs the other had dropped. In the same instance, her name fell from the taller wolf's lips. She did know this wolf! But why was she so familiar to her? It came to her after a moment. This was one of the Warlord's daughters, one who had tried to train her. She had not been an easy wolf to teach. “P-princess, I'm sorry” She said, holding out the herbs for the dappled wolf. “I didn't mean to--” She fumbled over her words, feeling like the clumsy slave she had been when she had seen this wolf last.
