Give me a Taste of Home

Elysia was thrilled to see the frame of her brothers silhouette bounding towards her as the moon’s glow wrapped around him in an ethereal way. She never doubted that he would come to her summons. He always came when she called. And that was why he was her dearest brother. Always there when she needed him.

She didn’t waste any time with small talk as it seemed he was just as eager to launch right into the battle too. As he drew closer her body reacted on its own. Her muscles tensed as he initiated the fight by aiming a successful bite to her neck.

Teeth dug into flesh and her heart hammered in her chest as the adrenaline began to kick in. It was almost euphoric. Letting out a snarl of pain she began to curl her body towards his own. She didn’t fight fair, and that was hopefully a lesson he had long since learned when they were children. He had the upper hand because of his size, but she was ruthless in her own right. She would bite, kick and claw whatever piece of flesh she could reach if it meant she could turn the tide and pin him to the ground.

But no longer was their mama here to watch them. To yell at them when mistakes were made. No, this wasn’t a training session to prove their worth to their mother. This was a reminder of their roots. And she fully intended to do just that… remind him.

With a snarl she slammed her body weight into his jaw, hoping it was a bough to get him to release her neck. Simultaneously she aimed her own bite for his shoulder, hoping to catch him off guard and taste the delicious nectar that coursed through his veins. He had tasted her blood tonight and now she wanted to taste his too.
