Scatter Brain

Caedes had plunged into the depths of the cave system, the occasional crumbled skylight offering lighting within the depths of the tunnels. His purpose was clear. The scent of his quarry lingered in the air – a grizzly bear, a challenge.

With every step, Caedes moved with his usual predatory grace, his muscles rippling beneath his obsidian coat. The thrill of the hunt was coursing through his veins like a raging river. As he followed the bear's scent deeper into the heart of the caverns, he made use of his senses to their fullest extent. Vigilant, ready to act at a moment's notice.

And then, he saw it – a massive silhouette looming amidst the shadows, the bear's form unmistakable even in the low light. With a low, rumbling growl of anticipation, Caedes crouched, his emeralds fixed on his target with intense focus. All at once, Caedes launched himself forward, closing the distance between himself and the bear in a matter of heartbeats. He collided with its flank, teeth snapping and ripping at its hide – rending into it as it sought to whirl on him.
