Mariah watched the scene unfold before her, taking in the interaction between Caedes and Kaino. It was clear that they shared a deep bond, one that Mariah could only equate to the bond she shared with Malico. "As for secrets," she continued, looking at Kaino squarely, "sometimes they are kept not out of deceit but because the right moment hasn't arrived to reveal them." She paused, considering her words carefully before proceeding. “I hope you can forgive your brother for his oversight," she said, her tone earnest.
