Coran's exploration of the redwater rocks led him to the border of a beautiful oasis. A sparkling pool of aqua water shimmered in the desert heat, while the palm trees swayed gently in the breeze. A beautiful spot to work on a little crafting and to take advantage of the shade he'd found. Coran's pelt worked well in the desert terrain both for camouflage and also for some relief from the heat.
Coran got a fire going and then tended to the rabbit he'd brought with him. He'd had it slung over the back of his neck in case he got hungry but now that he was here he figured drying some of the meat would be good. Coran worked his jaws around the neck of the rabbit then down the center until he had the hide pulled mostly clean from the rabbit. It was still pretty rough, but he wasn't concerned.
With the meat exposed Coran examined the rabbit for a moment and decided to pull some of the meat off the belly. He carefully worked his fangs under a piece and worked his jaws down to create a strip of flesh that was mostly the same thickness. Taking his fangs at the back of the neck he carefully worked to pull off a strip of the neck muscle which he then carried over to the sharp sticks he had sticking up near the fire. He stuck one end of the meat on the stick to leave it to dry, using the smoke to help deter insects. Trotting back over to his kill he got back to work taking a few more strips of meat.
