Snapping his jaws at her face, Rhazien expected their proximity to aid him in the feat; but Absinth was already letting go, the release of pressure against his skin alerting him of her movement. She ducked down, and with his momentum he’d stepped forward, snapping at the empty air with a hissing snarl. Tsk. Still, he’d use the momentum to his advantage, counting to push forward and shoving his weight in her direction. Her skull slammed into his shoulder, missing her mark but causing irritation nonetheless.

Another snarl resonated from Rhazien, his left forelimb raising as he attempted to hook it over her shoulder. He intended to grapple with her, and to use his weight to push down on her back to pin her down. In sync, his jaws would snap at her again, aiming for her nape.
