Oki was doing better, mostly. Sleeping alone was...rough, but he was getting used to the cold nights, the darkness that seemed to linger forever this far up north. It helped to see that his kids were doing well, doing their own things that made them happy, living life the way they wanted.And Delphi seemed to be taking the weight of responsibility pretty well too, her pretty little head would suit a crown, and he'd told her as much before.
Moving into the designated meeting area, he saw Maki trying to not so subtly scooch up to Delphi. He doubted Hemlock would be such an uptight pack, a stickler for rules and the like, they were all friends and family here, no? Oki plonked himself down, splaying himself out like he was laying on a throne of pelts and furs, not cold stone.
"Cold as bals today." Oki commented, like that was a normal thing to say.
