Prepare for the Best

After he finished making the salves Oleander hauls the polar bear skin he had helped take down with Basilisk and Ignita toward the smokers. He had a plan to tan it and use it as part of his armor for the coming raid he had heard whispers about from the last meeting. He hadn't made it to the last meeting because he was fighting the last bout of his childhood sickness. He swore he would shake that curse from then on.
He knew he wasn't as practiced as his brother or the other fighters, but he'd be damned if he wasn't going to try to prove himself and help in the next raid.

He brought the polar bear's head with him as well. He had a plan to make the top half of it into a formidable helmet. He commandeered one of the smokers and wrapped the stripped hide into a funnel with the fur outward. He stoked the embers below. Soon he would start on stripping the head.
