having survived their first raid, Spider approaches this one feeling markedly more confident than last time. they pick their way over the frostbitten ground, glancing fondly at their gathering pack mates; it’s heartening to see them here, ready to fight on the Armada’s behalf. heartening to know Sirius’ departure hasn’t broken them. pelt prickling in anticipation, they settle near the front of the meeting, leaning forward in their eagerness as their tail thumps an eager rhythm. their new defensive armour sits snugly on their frame, and with their second companion wrapped around their foreleg, they feel cautiously ready to take on the Armada’s opponent.
