Raiding this far north in the winter was a choice, but Kaija wasn't the least bit bothered by it. She was a Jarvela, after all. She was built for the cold, and this climate was hardly extreme, even if her last few seasons with the Raiders had acclimated her to a more temperature climate. The way the crisp cold air hit her lungs was refreshing, a sharp jab that made her feel truly alive, and Kaija was ready.
Not long after they arrived the opposing pack began to trickle in, the first two finding opponents right away. Not Kaija, but she stood ready and waiting for whoever wanted to fight. Head high, chest puffed out a little bit too arrogantly, tail curled in a perfect arc above her back. Her face said it all - come at me, bro.
