She didn't bounce back as easily as the young wolves these days. She held back a bit to watch their backs, and pace herself, so she didn't step into the fray right away. Finally stepping up, she swept her fire-and-ice gaze across the battle, taking note of who was where and how their battles were going for them, staying in reserve, ready to step in if one of the raiders fell back or someone new joined in.
