It's hard to shake the lad with anything or from anything. Raised the way that he was, seeing the things he had seen, not much bothered him. Especially nothing that came from mouths of females that he hardly knew. But she keeps his interest. With his curiosity piqued, he finally slips down from atop his perch on the wall. More so from being frozen to the bone than anything else. The wind whipped harder up there than it did on the ground below. Damn his coat for adjusting to the humid temps of the southern islands. "The problem knights 'ave is that they cannot agree on how ta be self-righteous. Whereas birds of a feather can easily agree on anythin'. As lon' as there are others that fear them, they 'ave nothin' to fear themselves," Scald replies, his smirk matching the implications her words carried. He too cared not for the goody goodies of the world, but really, when did he care about anyone but himself? Outside of being the diplomat and spy for the Raider's, he very much went about on his own way most of the time. Standing close to the wall as Absinth picks back up about Elysia, he braces away from the chilling wind that bites at his face. How did these mongrels truly stand to live up here? Fighting back the shivers, his interest is piqued once more as her mischievous tone reaches his ears. That teasing smile is rather pretty, but he doesn't make a move forward. Instead, he leans against the wall, appearing as nonchalant as can be. "Soun's asif we share the same lifestyle," Scald muses back, holding her gaze with that of his own. "Gettin' around is one of my specialties," he grins at Absinth, tail flicking teasingly in his own manner. Would it be enough to hold her interest or would she give up so soon? |
