Lost little lamb

He skidded back to give himself room to move before she had a chance to respond. He grinned at Ignita as she whirled on him, expecting some sort of retaliation, or tease. Something other than the look of shock that remained on her face before it closed down. Shit. He’d upset her. He moved forward, more carefully. Slowly, softly, as if he didn’t want to startle her. “Hey, hey, it’s okay.” He told her, stepping close enough to scoop her up into his arms and kiss the top of her head.

“I didn’t mean to frighten you, you're okay” He whispered against the top of her head. He forgot sometimes how fragile she could be.
